Au where yzy and Meishan Yu are part of the Assassins Creed.
And, plot twist, jfm, being his apathetic self, supporting the templars.
This causes a divid not only between the parents (although only yzy knows of both their affiliations) but also their children.

Bc jfm taught ww/x and jyl about the templars, and the templar’s beliefs.
But yzy took #JiangCheng aside, seeing as he’s more like her, and taught him the assassins way, as well as taught him about templars, and thus his father’s and sibling’s beliefs.
It causes a bit of a rift.

Of course, yzy and jc see that it’s more that jyl and ww/x don’t really understand what they’re being coerced into, so jc and yzy try to instill discipling and break that skewed world view before it’s to late. Hence why jc is always nagging at ww/x.

So, flash forward to when jc is rebuilding lp, and the Templars came to graciously offer their services (read: try to brainwash/use jc).
In a way, jc’s thankful that ww/x and jyl are no longer there, bc they definitely would have pressured him into accepting their “help”.

Now he can just tell them to fuck off.
N e way, ymj becomes the only great sect to not only have an assassin as it’s sect leader, but also to blatantly ally with the Assassins.
Blatantly in that the Assassins and Templars know, the cw is still in the dark.

Also, the cw doesn’t really know about assassins and templars bc it’s just not in their job description.
