Here are a few red flags

🚩 Taking off points for no names!
🚩 Taking off points for late work!
🚩 Grades associated with behavior (good or bad)!
🚩 Completion/Participation grades!

Grades should reflect learning. Outside factors should not be included.

For some reason this is a hot topic and tends to ruffle a few feathers, especially late work.

BUT this is not a new discussion. Read some of the "old" articles below.
