1. I've been reading the responses on the Smith vs Zanu PF leaders issue. It is shocking that some think it is a party position 😩..Our biggest problem after Zanu-PF is nuance. Hey Bafo, we struggle with nuance and we exaggerate minors so that we argue on what has not been said.
2. No one would want Smith back, the extent to which they don't want him back is matched by their desire to get Zanu PF out! It is sad that some people here, architects of propaganda will take this and plaster it as a party position. It is citizens having a conversation.
3. Smith was terrible, it was not flowers and roses, but the idea that Zanu-PF has sought to outdo him is a failure of epic proportions. To be fair, the State inherited Smith's paranoia of thinking political opposition is terrorism and has kept that tone since 1980.
4. Even Jonathan Moyo admitted that JOC security briefings supersede everything as if we are at war, Zanu-PF has revived the Smith's regime securocratic apparatus and has failed to depart from the Law and Order Maintenance Act to this day.
5. All rural land is under the President, he can take and give as he wills, is this a State you can call a country? You see, when a woman leaves an abusive husband and remarries when she says "you are worse than my last husband" she's not saying "I want to go back."
6. It just means that you and the previous person are terrible! The common thing here is that you are both terrible and none of you are worthy or deserving of that companionship. It calls for introspection at a deeper level.
7. Zimbabweans cannot look back over the past 200 years and not find any period or Government they would want to live under! If I were Zanu PF I would never allow that to happen, I would die trying to outperform, outgovern & outbuild a racist colonial regime!
8. I would invest myself in transforming the State into a beacon of Black Excellence so that even those Rhodesians who fled in 1980 would want to identify with the modern State not the former! I would not rest until those who lived during that era erase any form of nostalgia.
9. Let them remember the Christmas celebrations with family and friends during that time but never compare that I've failed to give them a dignified and modern and much better existence than that regime. This is what people saying, that you can't be worse or equal to Smith!!
10. Yes, people are saying you fought for Independence, but what is the point if it meant replicating a State similar in form and function as the one you supposedly "freed" the people from? You can't start building a basement in rock bottom, RISE! #ZanuPFMustGo

1. When @BitiTendai was on air with Chris Mutsvangwa he simply said, "...that you fought the liberation war cannot be used as a source of impunity for the brutality and misgovernance..."...to this Chris retorted "we have the institutions of Power".
2. By that he was referring to the Security Sector, you see these guys are clear, their power is based on control of the Security Sector. There is simply no intellectual paradigm to it, it is a simple shoot to kill ethos. This is why the comparisons with Smith are coming.
3. For sure no one wants to be compared with a racist murderer, but when you have abdicated the desire to lead, to build a Social Contract with the people, and your only card is "the Institutions of Power". The current Govt is not even bothered with trying to build a relationship
1. Like Mugabe before him, ED has an expansive network of informers and varakashi, who delude him into thinking that the empire is intact, they exaggerate perceived enemies to justify brutality, yet the writing is on the wall. Their demise will shock many!
2. When you create a wall of security agents in order to keep getting paid by you they will always bring you massaged intel to make themselves seem like they are doing amazing work. By centering intelligence as the core of running a country the President like Mugabe is boxed in.
3. They will feed his paranoia whilst seismic changes are happening in places far than his minion's ears can reach. And without warning, at the height of his confidence, he shall be shocked. Those that feed him lies will be nowhere to be found.
1. GMB used to buy grain above its selling price. So during those days when the Retired Brigadiers took over, they milked that facility, simply moving the same grain they bought back and forth and cashing in on the price differential.
2. Many people got obscenely rich, because all you had to do was bring your grain get paid and then use the same lorry to buy grain at below the GMB purchase price. This is why many farms lay idle, why wait for 7 months to harvest when you can simply cycle the same grain?
3. The Govt has created many such schemes where instant millionaires are minted. The other scheme was the fuel-bond note axis. You get RBZ forex spin it on the market and get 5-10X in bond note then you simply take it back to RBZ to get forex at 1:1 because you are supplying fuel
1. The issue about Zim is that we are in a sewer, but many of us are focused on buying the most expensive air freshener to ward off the stench (eg drilling boreholes, installing solar, sticking to private medical facilities, buying off road vehicles to drive in town)
2. The sad thing is, to many who are buying these nice air fresheners, the stench we are warding off will go away for a short while but it means we have to work extra hard 4 our kids to avoid the same stench. Some, because of the status attached to air freshener want the sewer
3. Some are attached to being the "Only One" in a sea of poverty not knowing that to gain more riches you need as many people affording your services and spending on what you sell. A great country makes you even greater.
1. Zanu PF comforts itself in that our parents and grandmothers some who where brutalized by guerillas pre-independence, in 1980, Gukurahundi, 1990s,2000-2013 will never become radicalized and wage a campaign of violence.
2.Sadly, the people have a breaking point, our mothers and fathers vote for Zanu-PF because they simply want peace. They know a losing Zanu is unhinged, however what they don't know is just how many people are abandoning democratic means for change.
3. It is unfathomable that there can be an equally violent opposing force in the landscape but the truth is that the conditions are ripe for such a force. In 2019 after the raping of many girls and women by the army, a lot of people were terribly hurt.
1. Watching a documentary on the 2002 Elections, Didymus Mutasa legit saying that if there was no MDC there would not have been any need for violence. He goes on to claim that Zanu PF supporters are actually victims.
2. Tonderai Ndira is also profiled briefly and his story and activities for the opposition detailed. He was a passionate cadre. He took his family to safety before the elections and immediately went to fetch a victim of political violence from the hospital. Such dedication!
3. Mutasa alleges that if MDC wins there will be mayhem! Tsvangirai details the plan the MDC had for Zimbabwe to restore the nation to a proper path of recovery.
