"Sweden’s prime minister has said the Scandinavian country has failed to integrate many of the immigrants who have settled there over the past 20 years, creating a nation of “parallel societies … living in different realities”.
She has spoken the truth.
And it's time for all of us to face a very simple truth.
We think because we live in the same country, we share the same reality.
That is totally FALSE.
All of us live in our minds. If all that is fed into it is the same, we share the SAME REALITY.
If as is the case with Islam, what is fed is not just different but militates and differentiates itself in every which way, from the larger society of which Muslims are a part..then the Muslim kids, even as they physically grow up in Sweden, actually live in an 'Islamic Reality"
The criminal behaviour etc arises not so from Islam, as the alienation brought about by the strict rules of Islam, enforced at home..One Reality versus a 'morally loose & free society" they are taught to detest....Another Reality..but see as contemptible & easy victims
1500 years after we first peacefully welcomed Islam, which came to Kerala with the early Arab Traders, Muslims are yet to integrate into the larger Indian society in the way as Parsees, Jews, even Christians to a great extent have.
This is all the more shocking because upwards of 85% of Indian Muslims, are physically the same as the rest of us and have the same DNA.
And we still have the problem of integration 1500 years later.
What is preventing them from integrating is the Alternate Reality that Islam, not just provides, bit INSISTS on providing,
in Madrassas, in mosques, at home...
From Arabic names, to distinctive dress, to Adhan, to learning Arabic, to an insistence on speaking Urdu, to
Madrassas, to namaz, to food choices are all fundamental to internalizing a fierce exclusiveness, contempt, if not hatred for the kaffir.
All of this with the Haj, the concept of Ummah or world-wide Muslim brotherhood, fashion an Alternate Reality for Muslims.
Petro dollars from the Gulf have in the last 60 years or so fuelled increasing orthodoxy (Tablighi Jamaat) among Indian Muslims.
That is to say, they have re-inforced this Alternate Reality. And just when prosperity, education & development MAY HAVE begun to dilute this
ALTERNATE REALITY, the rising tide of Hindu resurgence in the last 8 years may have caused them to retreat into this very same ALTERNATE REALITY.
There no easy answers to the conundrum. There are no real commonalities, only temporary adjustments based on relative strength.
ALTERNATE REALITY, the rising tide of Hindu resurgence in the last 8 years may have caused them to retreat into this very same ALTERNATE REALITY.
There are no easy answers to the conundrum. There are no real commonalities, only temporary adjustments based on relative strength.
Given the nature of Islam there is nearly no hope of any fundamental reform.
How tamper with the words of God himself.
What is happening to Christianity in the West could, however, slowly happen to Islam.
A steady decrease in the numbers of those who truly practice it.
From an unexpected quarter, comes a very perceptive article, which could also be "wishful thinking & a helpful spin" about Mohan Bhagwats trajectory, except that Vivek Deshpande seems to cordially hate the Hindutva Project. amp.scroll.in/article/102579…
What sez friend Vivek:
* The RSS has not given up on Hindu Rashtra.
* It has merely changed tack.
* Treating Muslims as 2nd class citizens is causing
a) Huge domestic strife
b) And international outrage which is counterproductive to Bharat's emergence as a world power.
So what is Bhagwat up to
according to Vivek:
* Knowing that the project will face hurdles so long as the large minority of Muslims oppose it..
* He is leaving the door open for Muslims to return to the Hindu fold to give a de-facto Hindu Rashtra.
" India, the country is said to have five regions – east, west, north, south and the middle or central region. In some accounts, the central region or the Gangetic plain is called Zhonguo or “Central Country” – a term that is usually used to denote China as the Middle Kingdom."
"In the writings of Chinese Buddhist monks and scholars during the Han, Sui and Tang dynasties (roughly from the first century BCE to the tenth century CE), it was India that was often described as the centre of the world, not China."
Don't tell anyone that "secular" means that the State has nothing to do with religion.
Therefore, the Indian State, if truly 'secular' should have firmly and decisively implemented the Uniform Civil Code as directed in the Constitution from Day 1.
It is purely political appeasement of the Ashram Muslim leadership, which now leads them to think that blackmail & threats of violence, will enable them to keep a vice-like hold on the 85% majority native Pasmanda Muslims, who are their vote-banks & cannon-fodder during riots.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been consistent in alerting Indians that the world order will change after Covid. But most of us, who didn’t see the World War, couldn’t relate to the sentiment. The bigger picture is now emerging, and it's scary."
"In the past, we saw crises on select fronts. Now all fronts are open, and all rules are meant to be broken. We are neither unipolar nor a multipolar world. No one knows where we are. It is time to hedge every risk from political, defence, and food to loan defaults"

"Had God not been repelling some people by means of some others, the monasteries, the churches, the synagogues and the mosques, where God’s name is abundantly remembered, would have been demolished” (22:40). theprint.in/opinion/should…
"That these guidelines were more honoured in the breach than observance is an irony which soon gave rise to the cult of But- Shikan, the iconoclastic warrior, who smashed idols & demolished temples. If this trend has been a paradox, the contradiction should be acknowledged & resolved
"if the poet Iqbal could still have no qualms in singing, “Di azaneń kabhi Europe ke kalisaoń meiń (we called azan in the churches of Europe), it shows that Islam as an imperial ideology had diverged widely from its pristine spirituality."
