was so fun seeing so many people IRLโespecially some of our @DreamDAO_ members ๐ซ
here ere are some reflections from the week ๐ง
Lesson #1: Plan your conference days with defaults youโre excited about, while being open to spontaneous shifts away from those defaults. After going to half a dozen conferences this year, it feels right to strike a balance between sticking to a plan and going with the flow.
Lesson #2: Create lists of follow-up items so the energy and conversation from the conference doesnโt just turn out to be fleeting and purely theoretical. The post-conference follow-up / follow-through is the hard part, but ultimately the most useful and rewarding part.
Lesson #3: Stay humble and count your blessings. I truly believe these are two of the greatest superpowers of anyone trying to do something genuinely impactful. We at @DreamDAO_ feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to share our story several times during the conference.

Here are some reflections ๐ง
Lesson #1: Itโs never too late to halt a detrimental plan. Sometimes a plan to solve a problem can make a problem worse, even if only because it diverts resources away from a solution that could actually solve it.
2) Meme makers + shapers have a lot of responsibility.
"web3" to me is a meme that has a lot more potential than the current way it's talked about. imho, web3 should refer to the evolution of internet technologies, not just blockchain + cryptocurrencies.
about a dozen young @DreamDAO_ members are starting internships at leading regen web3 DAOs/startups soon! ๐ฑ๐๐
what is the most important thing for them to keep in mind so they can succeed in their roles this summer? ๐ค
i'll go first:
even if your manager does not mandate it, write out your goals for the 1-2 week period, run it by them, and send them out as an email to your manager at the beginning of the 1-2 week period (along with a reporting out of what you accomplished the previous week)
another one:
web3 orgs tend to be super fluidly structured. so don't hesitate to ask questions. and if you see an opportunity to contribute in a way that doesn't neatly fit into a job description, ask your manager if it's cool for you to try to fill that gap and go for it!

Here are some reflections ๐ง
Lesson #1: bear markets suck, but they are grounding. they force us to reckon with what we most deeply value. and one thing i've found is that it is easier to weather a downturn when you deep down know what youโre building is badly needed regardless of the state of the market
Lesson #2: people in web3 are incredibly busy. if youโre planning something. it can be helpful if not ESSENTIAL to plan 3+ months in advance if you are trying to get buy in. especially since partnerships TAKE TIME, because relationships require trust. and trust take time to build
who wants to co-host or attend a regen web3 get-together in Austin? ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ฑ
we're excited to be able to fly out a few of the amazing Gen Zers who have made Dream DAO's development these past few months possible, including @b_jaehee, @oliveryehlik, and @eliza_engineer ๐
we will be participating in "Web3athon": a hyperlocal, people-first crypto hackathon, which will bring developers + creatives together to solve some of the most pressing problems facing communities
thanks so much to @CoinDesk + CRADL for the opportunity!
