7 pounds of pressure, the name of the episode, is the weight required to pull the trigger of a gun. That weight--of taking a life--has stayed in Mercedes' shoulder for the past five months. The same shoulder that was troubling her last episode and gave out mid-routine. #PValley
Diamond, Mercedes, Autumn, and Uncle Clifford are all bonded by the trauma they suffered in the Paradise Room, though they handle it differently. Overcome by repressed guilt over being the one who pulled the trigger, Mercedes finally snaps. #PValley
