They were asylum seekers. She was worried because their local library was closing. She couldn’t afford to buy books for her daughter so her only access to books was the school library. The school library meant this little girl could read for pleasure and a brighter future ❤️
School libraries are the only way many many children can access good quality children books. Research shows that children who read for pleasure have a better chance of being successful in the future. Why should children who can’t afford to buy them be disadvantaged ☹️
FACT: School Libraries change lives!!! Very kind friends donated books to the little girl and her sister. So they had more books on their shelves. Here they are when I delivered them. Shared with permission ❤️ #lifechanginglibraries
