''In early 2021, Heineken-owned beer brand, Tres Cruces, was ready to launch the lighter version of its lager, Tres Cruces Light, in Peru. After shipping the product to suppliers across the country, the brand realized that it had sent out 300,000 cans to retailers with the letter
‘S’ omitted from its slogan ‘Disfrute’.
Instead of "Disfrute" (which means Enjoy), they wrote "Difrute".
They had three options:
1. Issue a recall.
2. Write a sad, sad Tweet.
3. Call their Creative Agency.
They picked 3, turning the typo into a game: Find the cans with the missing "*S*" and get a chance to win *S*cooters, *S*martwatches, *S*ix-packs, and other things with S.
And viral they went.
They sold 10,000,000 liters of beer in one month –
what they would usually sell in a year.
Lesson:
Make mistakes, but, never allow a bad situation take away your focus from greater possibilities. Get #creative, get #support. Exceed your limits 😉😉''
