Because of these strong statements that oppose the notion of sending sars cov2 to endemicity via infection of the youth, I have been called a “crank” and “not galileo” for not “being a working scientist” because I got a phd in 2018 on t cell memory and am just a student

My statements have stood the test of time. I did not need a pipette in my hand to understand what was happening. Those that attack me have been saying
1) after infection the virus is rendered like a cold or flu
2) sars cov 2 will evolve to be like endemic coronaviruses

Both of these claims have not occurred, we can see sars cov 2 is still a virulent and severe illness despite further evolution and immunological memory. The pursuit of infection-based immunity has harmed brains and immune systems

As a scientist, when you stand by someone with not only delusional but harmful beliefs that infecting the youth will bring about endemicity, you galvanize your position among the people responsible for harming those without agency

Also, all of the claims of evolutionary or immunological attenuation have been modelled to reflect the real world. What happens in the real world is most important, and sars cov 2 is causing severe reinfections and will continue to do so because it is intrinsically severe
