🧵See the nickname on that door? This is the door in the basement of local school in Yahidne, Chernihiv region, Ukraine. 300+ locals were kept there by Russian soldiers in inhuman conditions for 26 days. This tag allowed me to find the woman who left it and she told me her story.
They were kept in this basement from March 4rd till March 31rd. See the names right and left of the "calendar"? On the right are those who died in the basement itself, on the left – those who were killed by Russians or died "upstairs" during the shelling.
Evgeniya is the name of the woman. By the time Russians came in she lived in Yahidne with her family, including grandfather who recently had a stroke and was unable to move. They all survived, but 10 people in the basement died from hunger, lack of fresh air and medications.
Nearly all Russian soldiers who kept them in the basement were from Tuva, republic in south-central Siberia, one of the poorest and least-developed regions of Russia. Ukrainian authorities claim they collected evidence to charge at least 9 of them.
Some of them have recent posts on VK like nothing happened (archive.ph/c0cZJ). None of them replied to my messages: why keep 300 civilians together? They all had their own houses with basements, where they used to hide from shelling before.
Russian soldiers provided their prisoners with the minimum amounts of food and water. The first elderly man in the basement died a week after it all started. "He just didn’t wake up when we tried to give him some food", – says Valeriya.
Soldiers didn't allow to bury all the bodies immediately after the death. They only allowed to bring them to this boiler room, giving their clearance when at least 5 bodies were "accumulated" there.
When Russians had to retreat from Chernihiv, many of those kept in this "basement of death" were able to walk out for the first tome in 26 days – just to find their houses destroyed and totally looted.
Now the whole family is in Germany. They want to return, but Yahidne is still being shelled. They lost almost everything but saved their lives. I know It’s on the brink of ethical for me, but if you want to help them – PayPal leralepekha03@gmail.com.
And please read full story here (use google translate). Things like that should never happen again. svoboda.org/a/podval-smert…
Story continues: two of the guys accused by UA prosecutor's office in atrocities in Yahidne are already dead, as I was told by the wife of Nazyty Mongush. She confirmed her husband was there too, but he is alive.
She rejects accusations on behalf of her husband: "They fed them [civilians in Yahidne]. Our husbands won’t hurt a fly. My husband cried when he saw how they have to live: shops were closed, he helped one guy to find the diapers for his son".
She says some guys from the list never have been to Yahidne. "Probably Ukraine got this list when their car was bombed".
There’s one more interesting detail: Russian command also investigated the case of Yahidne, but found that soldiers are not guilty.
After this fruitful conversation she deleted some of her messages and closed her VK, as well as did her husband, and said she will report me to FSB ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today I learned I can no longer operate my small leisure drone (old, but beloved DJI Spark) in EU due to sanctions, regardless of the fact I have a permanent residence permit and also the passport of another country. freeskies.eu
Being a holder of a Russian citizenship, which actually can't be renounced without lengthy, costly and risky procedure (cause it means traveling to Russia in person), makes me a pariah when it comes to flying drone in EU and EASA jurisdiction countries.
My drone is registered according to the EU law and I have a proper license to operate it. I don't have a lot of time for recreational flying since the war broke up, my last drone video was filmed like months ago, so I will cope with it, but EU approach to this is frustrating.

In my previous life sometimes I watched videos by this Ukrainian YouTube channel, which is usually doing car test drives. Now the guy is "unboxing" Russian "Strelets-M" reconnaissance, control and communications system, left by some unlucky lieutenant.
The system is the part of the "Ratnik" project, referred to as "21-Century Soldier outfit", and is relatively modern, utilizing a lot of foreign components, like connectors by Swiss @FischerConnect.
But the main part of it is commander's tablet. "Research and development works were carried out by dozens of Russian defense enterprises" as its creators claim ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A0%D0….

Quick🧵New satellite imagery taken above the Snake Island on May 9th, 11.58 UTC, shows 2 Russian ships near it. Let's take a closer look at them. Image
The one making a turn was identified by @CovertShores as a Dyugon-class landing craft, carrying a vehicle. May be SA-15 Tor to replace the one destroyed by recent Ukrainian strike, but image resolution makes it hard to say. ImageImage
The ship near the island, again according to @CovertShores, is a Project 22870 rescue tug, similar to that one Russia used in "Moskva" cruiser rescue op. Image

🧵/ link in the last tweet. "My two dogs, grandmother Galya, and my beloved city of Mariupol died". You may have seen this photo of a diary of an 8-years old boy from besieged Ukrainian city, leveled by Russian artillery and air strikes. Now I can tell you the story behind it. Image
The boy is still in Mariupol, so I don’t reveal his name or photo. He was severely wounded during the Russian air strike along with his sister and mother. "I have a wound on my back, the skin is torn out", – he wrote in his diary shortly before his birthday. Image
His mother is afraid she will not be able to afford living if she evacuates. The man who published the photo of the diary is her relative, Evgeny Sosnovsky. He successfully evacuated his family last week after 2 months of war spent in Mariupol. Image

🧵/ link in the last tweet. Sometimes our findings don’t lead us to a lot of fruitful results. In this case, I only received a "yes" answer from a close relative of a "Moskva" cruiser sailor, when asked him if actually "many people died there", opposite to what the MoD claims.
MoD claims only 1 man died aboard "Moskva", 27 are missing, 396 were rescued. Russian journos have already found relatives of several people who miss their loved ones. The mother of one of them, Sergey Grudinin, has been told unofficially her son is dead. bit.ly/3xZiurX
This fact allowed to prove that the video with the "Moskva" crew, published by MoD on April 16th, was filmed not AFTER the ship caught fire and sank (like MoD says), but before. Because Grudinin is present on it.

‼️ This is not "FSB stupidity", it's the real book by popular Russian Neo Nazi guy, former guns.ru moderator accused of numerous murders, Vasily FedorOvich. "Подпись Неразборчива" is not only a common signature for this group, but also his pseudonym.
(Context: it's the screen grab from FSB video of arresting guys who allegedly wanted to murder Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. The autograph "Подпись Неразборчива" made many people think it's fake. Solovyov part probably is, but they're real guys from real Neo Nazi group)
You can find another book by "Подпись Неразборчива", called "The White Laces". litmir.me/br/?b=573172&p… wikireality.ru/wiki/%D0%92%D0…
