while #peterObi is busy understudying and comparing countries so that WHEN he becomes president he will replicate it, i was busy understudying #peterobi's life and how he is able to stay in Nigerian politics stainless, focused and progressive and i got these results...
I graduated top of my class by the way and i thaught i have arrived but after i researched about @peterobi's Almamata and his achievements in private/public service, i realised how myopic i have been over the years.
Mr peter Obi should have naturally settled for being a petty trader in Onisha after graduating from UNN as the status quo demands but he went ahead to attend all the famous business schools and universities in the world;
After the civil war in 1970, Onitsha and the rest of the easthern part of Nigeria became a ghost town but go and take a look at it today, it has become a business hub of Africa with people trooping from all the corners of the country to do business especially in Onitsha and Aba
theres nothing you will leave in the hands of an average Igbo man that you will return to see it thesame NO way. He will either multiply it or transform it no wonder they are called the isrealites of Africa.
Back to Obi why the stress what was he looking for? the igbo aprenticeship system only teaches you the art of buying and selling but not leadership, charisma, eloquence, human capital development, global business techniques, stock exchange, tax systems, entrepreneurship and so on
Because the igbo aprenticeship system only passes on wealth to relatives not the nation. As for Mr Peter obi living and doing business for 10years in the UK instead of Onitsha not only shaped his ideology about being prudent, creative, trustworthy, productive and progressive.
It also gave Nigerians the opportunity to begin to see igbo people differently. since the day i saw his CV and what he has achieved for himself and for the public, listened to his interviews and how he responds to criticisms, it dawned on me that i have a long way to go.
To ignore a man like #peterobi is thesame as saying Nigeria made the right choice in the 2015 election
