Applying for grad school or studies abroad teaches you alot of things that is outside your curriculum.
1. Branding
You learn how to communicate your value and how to market yourself.
The best or well suited candidate is usually the one selected. This is why you need to learn how to tailor your documents for every application.
Generic and plagiarised documents will not get you to the top. You need to learn to communicate your unique skills and how you stand out from the others.
2. Writing and communication skills

As you constantly work on your essays, you improve your essays as well as how to commuicate your thoughts. Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Interviews are a good way to gauge your writing and communication skills.

3. Email etiquette

Cold emailing is part of the journey. Crafting a good email is essential to get a potential supervisor to be interested in you and want to correspond further.

4. Researching

Googling will be your best friend and learning how to find and understand information is also critical for the journey.

Intentionality matters. Rejections may come but if you are deligent. You always come out at a better person.

Want to immigrate to Canada but not through studies? Let's look at the express entry route.

How does the express entry to Canada work?

Step by step process

A thread
1. Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-sta…

2. Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least:
CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.
How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> cic.gc.ca/english/resour…

Why I like France as a study destination

If you have about 2,000 Ghana cedis or 123,771.78 naira or 263€ you can pay for your yearly not monthly tuition fees in France for a masters degree. It's possible to do a 1 year or 2 years masters.
2. Do you need IELTS? English speaking natives don't but then it depends on the university.

3. Food is so cheap.

4. The government offers free health insurance ( I think 60% coverage). There's a possibility to apply for 100% coverage.
5. Do I need to leave immediately after my program? There is a one year work permit to find a job after your program and during that period if you
don't have a job the government gives you money. This is termed "chomage". Google it
