Why I like and chose France as a STUDY DESTINATION

1. The fees were cheap!
I paid 243 euros as my yearly (not monthly) tuition fee for a master's degree. It was less than 1500 Ghana cedis.

It's possible to do a 1-year or 2-year masters based on your BSc. 2. I didn't need to write IELTS because I am from an English-speaking country. No GRE needed

3. The government paid a part of your rent for you. It's called CAF.

4. Food was so cheap or maybe I just knew the cheap shops.

If you are looking for a fully funded scholarship for masters or PhD.

Gather here and let me share this secret with you. One way to achieve this is to find professors in your field or related field who have received funding or grants for their projects and send an email to ask to be their graduate (research) students.

Applying for grad school or studies abroad teaches you alot of things that is outside your curriculum. 1. Branding
You learn how to communicate your value and how to market yourself.
The best or well suited candidate is usually the one selected. This is why you need to learn how to tailor your documents for every application.

Why I like France as a study destination

If you have about 2,000 Ghana cedis or 123,771.78 naira or 263€ you can pay for your yearly not monthly tuition fees in France for a masters degree. It's possible to do a 1 year or 2 years masters. 2. Do you need IELTS? English speaking natives don't but then it depends on the university.

3. Food is so cheap.

4. The government offers free health insurance ( I think 60% coverage). There's a possibility to apply for 100% coverage.

Things you should know about scholarships / admissions abroad

1. Fully funded scholarship is a very broad term. This may entail only tuition. What this means is that you need to figure out your living expenses. Others may cover tuition and a stipend for living expenses. Based on the city you may be living in, this may be enough or not!

2. Research or teaching assistantship is like a job you are performing and you get paid for it. If your scholarship document doesn't state explicitly that you would have a tuition fee waiver,

I used to get upset when people asked for things, I had already provided information to in my tweet! I later realised they were asking not because they were not reading but sometimes, they genuinely didn't know yet how to manoeuvre their way around Twitter. It changed a lot for me and how I interact with others. It took me several years to find my footings on here. So I will keep on repeating the same information over and over again if my time would allow me.
