1.Hello and welcome. It’s another episode of #MrMrsBetterHalf. Mr & Mrs Better Half is designed to strengthen marriages & relationships that will lead to marriage, with wisdom from God's Word.
2. Today’s topic is “Does love wear out with time?” #MrMrsBetterHalf
3. This sounds like it’s coming from someone concerned – either because he or she is single and worried about getting married and experiencing waning love; or because he or she is married and realizing that s/he doesn’t feel so hyped about love after a while. #MrMrsBetterHalf
4. The truth is that love, like any other substance or essential commodity, can deplete with time. Anything that comes can go. Love can wear out with time if you don’t pay attention. There is no automatic sustainability for anything. #MrMrsBetterHalf
5. If the grass is greener on the other side, someone is watering it. And if you see greener grass that isn’t being watered, it’s most likely AstroTurf! #MrMrsBetterHalf
6. Newton’s first law of motion says, “every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force”. #MrMrsBetterHalf
7. In marriage, it is the same – you must learn to apply relevant force. You need to understand that you must find a way to keep the romance alive. What got you interested or attracted to your partner in the first instance? And how do you keep that fire aflame? #MrMrsBetterHalf
8. How do you keep the romance alive? I’ll share a few tips: A. By deepening communication. Communication in dating is different from communication in marriage. B. By sustaining dating in marriage. This is major in keeping romance alive. #MrMrsBetterHalf
9. Many people who have been married for over 10 years tend to take each other for granted and claim not to know how to date their spouses anymore. The irony is, some of these people are actively dating other people. #MrMrsBetterHalf
10. The same way you date someone you just met is the same way you date your husband or wife. Do the things you used to do in the early days. Buy romantic and thoughtful gifts as you would if you were still toasting her or trying to impress him or her. #MrMrsBetterHalf
11. Use endearing words; blow his or her mind; invest continuously in romantic dates, and gifts and give special attention. Some people just want special attention and that feeling that someone is thinking about them and for them. #MrMrsBetterHalf
12. Effort and creativity must be poured into the process – protect, impress and bring smiles to your partner’s face. It is a deliberate effort that must be planned and prioritized. Protect the time with your spouse – be present and fight against tiredness. #MrMrsBetterHalf
13. You don’t want to be dozing off when someone is trying to get your attention and do something nice for you. Also, it is very important to fill each other’s emotional tank to keep love and romance alive, especially in marriage. #MrMrsBetterHalf
14. When you are deliberate about filling your partner’s emotional tank, you will keep love alive. People gravitate toward people who make them feel alive.#MrMrsBetterJalf
15. Speaking their love languages and doing the things that they appreciate and value will fill their emotional tanks. What is the thing you do or the place you go that makes your husband or wife feel alive? And what do you do that drains them? #MrMrsBetterHalf
16. If you love football or exercise and your partner hates it and doesn’t support you or nags about why you have to watch football or exercise, there will be friction as their actions will drain you. #MrMrsBetterHalf
17. You have to be interested in the things that interest your spouse to keep love alive. If you are detached, you will drain them – and no one loves people that drain them. #MrMrsBetterHalf
18. Finally, pay attention to what makes your partner happy and make a conscious effort to keep the romance and your love alive. #MrMrBetterHalf
19. I hope this has been helpful to you. I will be back next week with another topic. Until then, thanks for following. May your marriages and relationships be sweet! #MrMrsBetterHalf

1. How worship charges the atmosphere? God wants His people to take charge in all situations. People who take charge must know how to master the atmosphere and bring it under submission to God.
2. If you want to go the distance with God, you must learn to master how to charge the atmosphere around your life with His presence. What does this mean?
3. Not every situation or circumstance will have a positive atmosphere; but you can take charge of that atmosphere and create a space where you hear God speak. Joseph (Genesis 40) and Paul (Philippians 1) allowed God tO use them to master very difficult atmospheres in prison.
1. Roughly two millennia ago, Paul warned the early Christians of dark and evil times ahead. Given all the that the world has been through, especially in recent times, it is safe to say that such troubling times could apply to many points in human history.
2. But more important than knowing
that tough times are bound to happen, is the fact that God would not allow you face situations beyond your faith-threshold (1 Cor. 10:13).
Paul gives you a template what to do
and how. What do you do? Be filled with the Holy Spirit & constantly
3. ... and guided by Him. Speaking to one another in psalms & hymns & spiritual songs, offering praise by singing & making melody with your
heart to the Lord; always giving thanks to God the Father for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph
5:19-20).
