The medium also controls our paneling. This entire spread simply does not flow the same on the predominant vertical-scrolling we comic platform. #artph#comics#komiks
So much is lost din in the vertical scrolling process. Another case in point, these two pages meant to "face off" against each other. #komiks#comics#artph.
The webtoon format (also born out of specific labor conditions) also limits our paneling, and imho, it should be assessed rather than being treated as simply the norm. Ang lusog lusog ng possibility of breaking down a story bec. Of paneling. Hindi ito diss, just an observation.
This isn't to say walang posibilidad of complex paneling sa vertical scrolling lay outs (my gosh malamang someone will read this and feel attacked again. Bec ofc TWITTER). I think it's capable, but only on a 1 page basis, and thst doesn't necessarily translate well when printed.

Hindi rin naman na rin precolonial ito, may exposure na rin sa cathecism yung "celibate" during this time. But what op doesn't mention here is a more interesting fact: that this same part of Alcina's. Account mentions similarly "effeminate" men "marry" and have kids with women.
It's tempting to portray our ancestors as "more progressive" than we think or "closer to us", so we can feel a bit more in touch with the "native within". But it would be a disservice to the originality of precolonial thinkers to do away with nuance this way.
