Why is Kollayane Veliyeru Protest important for all of us as general public to attend?

We had all seen how corrupt the AIADMK govt's governance has been in the previous term. (Read on / contd)

People wanted change & voted them out, another party came to the fore saying it would offer the vidiyal (Dawn/ SunRise) to the people but so far its only been a vidiyal to the political party & all promises & supposed statements in that direction were seemingly PR work (Contd)

Transparency and action against Corrupt politicians and officials were 2 promises made by the DMK as an opposition. However, this is far from truth and below are the high level reasons for this conclusion: (Read on)

1.Neither FIR's filed agnst AIADMK politicians moved to next step nor were there any FIR's filed against Govt officls who helped in TenderFixing &Corruption.
2.Several Corruption cases filed by Arappor w evidence to DVAC is gathering dust & no FIRs being filed. Collusion? (Contd)

3. Even those cases where CM Stalin himself had promised to take action against or demanded action while in opposition when they come to power.
4. Volumes of Complaints given by CM Stalin himself to the governor on AIADMK's corruption have not been taken into consideration either

5. Direct evidence of Corruption under the ruling DMK Govt has started to come to the fore as exposed by Arappor in Highways Scam.

This Protest is not against a single party. (though it is technically against the ruling govt) the fact is this is against the system of Nexus & collusion between the Politician and the Bureaucrat for an illegal benefit.

1. To break a system that shields Rank A offcls/IAS officers from any corruption cases or any penalizing action for that matter.
2. To break the nexus between IAS who work for their political bosses, gives them ideas & signs any paper to please them & takes a cut from the deal

3. To break the fearlessness of the signing / fixing official in charge who should have refused to do so, as seen in the case of Santhosh Babu IAS who refused the sign the TANFINET papers because it was being rigged.

5. For a true Vidiyal to the people of Tamilnadu where the money lost in corruption can be utilised in implementation of Social Justice and Welfare schemes.

If there was a key trigger for the protest, i would say one of the key reasons would be the Inaction of the ruling DMK govt in taking action against the corrupt officials involved in the KP Park case where the poorest of people were provided newly built homes by the govt (Contd)

which started falling apart endangearing peoples lives. In spite of clear cut evidence of corruption in the form of IIT report & the promises by DMK MLAs to take action, they have failed us. DMK govt needs to answer if this is the social Justice its been preaching about? (Contd)

We as people need to question ourselves, is this any form of Justice at all and can we remain a mute spectator to this grave injustice? Let's come together and raise our voice in unison tomorrow.
