just had to listen to Mark Levin’s show, and it’s remarkable what can make you a star in conservative talk radio
Rush Limbaugh at least had flair and energy, and was a force of nature in spewing decades of hate and hypocrisy onto the airwaves. He was a debauched reactionary showman, but he put on a show.

Why anyone would willingly listen to Levin’s show is a profound mystery to me
the pauses. The pauses!
why is there so much dead air on this broadcasts, how are advertisers allowing this

Don’t really get why conservatives who watch movies think that gay or lesbian characters in movies meant for children and preteens are new or abnormal, R2-D2 was gay
You can just admit that the reason you boycotted Lightyear isn’t because you are a Last Man Standing loyalist; it is because Buzz in the new one doesn’t ask “what about Black on Black crime”
Revisiting Toy Story 4, it is really funny how Tim Allen and Tom Hanks were recorded in the same room, for the sake of the camaraderie in the voice acting, and it makes absolutely not difference whatsoever

something i think is important to underscore at this juncture:

Jared Kushner — nowadays seeking new investment & wanting to launder his image once again — wants you to think he had nothing to do with the riot stuff or what led up to it. It’s not just that he and Ivanka were...
…too sheepish or cowardly to do anything about “stopping” Jared’s father-in-law and therefore boss.

It’s that Jared was “directly involved” in starting Trump and co’s crusade to overturn the 2020 election.

It is accurate that Kushner essentially ghosted his father in law’s plot to steal the already concluded 2020 election. However, the best way to frame it is that he has a habit of running for cover when it’s convenient & when his own PR is in danger, while simultaneously…
…being complicit in the plot or the policy nonetheless, because he is often made to look at least superficially supportive, does not speak out, and doesn’t really even lift a finger to try to “moderate” anything.
In essence, he’s still a cog in the machine, just an even more self-interested cog and one that doesn’t like to get his hands as dirty. This is not a compliment

In the past few years, Maher has used words like “fascist” repeatedly to describe Trump and what the GOP has been doing. I guess one gripe I have with him is the phoniness of it all; if he Really believed what he was saying, instead of being what he would call “hysterical”…

The apparent phoniness was also clear when the days before trump won, Maher publicly said American voters need to keep trump out because “fascists” don’t just give up power once they get it. In the few days right after, he was on Real Time saying that if something could come..:
