The Korean Annals of the Joseon Dynasty is a chronological record of historical facts of 25 kings from the first King Taejo to King Cheoljong for the period of 472 years (1392-1863). It's the official Korean history written by government scholars in academic Chinese,

the official language of the Korea court throughout its recorded history.

In the Annals, we read the following declaration:

"China is our parent, and both Korea and Japan are sons, but our country is a filial son, and Japan is a son of thieves [equivalent to SOB]"

Today all Chinese can read the official Korean history in its original Chinese version, but Koreans can't. They can only read the translation, ie, the phonetic transcription of the Chinese characters.

When Chinese tourists visit Korean historical sites, all the Chinese understand the inscriptions in Chinese on Korean monuments, but Koreans don't. Koreans are being deprived of their own history and culture by their efforts to de-sinotize.

For hundreds of years, Korea was a tributary state of China. Hostility towards China in Korea has led to the collective denial of history. Today, South Koreas are always accusing China of stealing their culture, because they don't know anything about their own history.

For the ignorant Koreans who don't know their history:

In the second half of the 14th century, when the centralization of Wang's Goryeo declined, it was replaced by Li's Joseon.

During the Li Dynasty, Joseon and the Ming Dynasty had active economic and cultural exchanges,

and both sides maintained peaceful and friendly relations. Not only was there no war between the two countries, but they also fought together to defend the Korean Peninsula from Japanese invasion.

It was because of this friendly relationship that the Joseon Dynasty

continued to use the Chongzhen era numerals for its internal official documents and blessings after the Manchu Dynasty replaced the Ming Dynasty. But peace was not easy, and after the success of the Meiji Restoration, Japan began to invade again, and Korea became the target of

Japanese aggression again.

In 1894, under the pretext of assisting in the "internal reform" of Korea, Japan forced Korea to abrogate all the treaties signed with the Qing Dynasty and deliberately provoked a war against Korea and the Qing Dynasty.

Although the Qing dynasty sent troops to help Korea against Japan, they were defeated and Korea became a colony of Japan.

Note the Korean court chose to remain loyal to the Ming dynasty (Han dynasty) after the last Han Emperor was overthrown by the Manchus. However, Korea remained friendly with the Manchu dynasty and carried on the status of a tributary state, ie, a protectorate of China.

Today, Koreans are collectively denying their own history recorded by their own official historians.

"The tribute system was a hierarchical network of political orders that existed in East Asia, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia from the 3rd century B.C. until the end of the 19th century, with the Chinese Central Empire as the main core.
