🚨BREAKING: We just obtained a monumental victory at SCOTUS in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen, preserving Second Amendment rights for citizens across the country.

I’m am proud Missouri led the briefing in this case. #2A
Here is why this decision is so important…
A judge denied a permit for a WWII veteran with an honorable discharge and good character, who had trained in the use of small arms and previously been licensed, because “the only cause for the issuance of such a license to him was his desire to use a pistol for target practice.”
Under NY’s unconstitutional “may issue” system, applicants must show proper cause to be granted a firearms license. Per NYCPD regulations, an applicant can show proper cause through “extraordinary personal danger, documented by proof of recurrent threats to life or safety.”

As we argued in this case, the Second Amendment provides all the “special need” that law-abiding Americans need to justify carrying a firearm to defend themselves.
The Second Amendment enshrines the right to bear arms and the right to self-defense in our Constitution and affords every citizen the ability to protect their property, family, and livelihoods.
This case is integral to the preservation of the Second Amendment and protects Missourians and Americans’ right to self defense. We were proud to lead an amicus brief in this case, and to deliver a huge win on behalf of the American people. — END THREAD

Government can’t outsource its censorship to Big Tech.

Missouri is fighting back and today we filed our motion for Preliminary Injunction against the Biden Administration. A 🧵ago.mo.gov/docs/default-s…
With our motion for preliminary injunction, we are seeking a court order to halt the Biden Admin's unconstitutional actions. In May, we filed a lawsuit that alleges the federal government worked with social media companies to censor disfavored speech.
Here's what you need to know about our motion for a preliminary injunction, including direct accounts from people who have been censored themselves:

🚨BREAKING🚨Today, I subpoenaed 7 school districts, demanding documents & information on invasive student surveys given to students about race, gender, sexuality & political ideology without parental consent. It’s insane & we’re going to put a stop to it.
We also launched a transparency portal for parents that aggregates open records requests from schools across the state. Through our Student’s First Initiative, and our open records request from parent’s, here’s what we uncovered with the help of parents: ago.mo.gov/other-resource…
A parent from Wentzville School District sent us the following message and attachment through our portal: “My son was made to do a privilege walk in his US History class.” Image

Today, we launched the Students First Initiative, which aims to return power back to parents and increase transparency in schools.

Parents can submit objectionable curriculum, policies, and practices here: ago.mo.gov/other-resource…
Schools should be focused on prioritizing student success, not politics or woke ideologies. Our kids should be learning how to read and write, not "probing" their privilege.

Here are some examples of woke ideologies in Missouri's schools:

The stubborn decision by some school districts in Missouri to continue the forced masking of kids based on politics and not science is negatively affecting kids’ health.

The mandates need to end. #NoMaskMandates theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…
"A study from Brown University, analyzing 2020–21 data from schools in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, found no correlation between student cases and mask mandates..."
"In Tennessee, two neighboring counties with similar vaccination rates, Davidson and Williamson, have virtually overlapping case-rate trends in their school-age populations, despite one having a mask mandate and one having a mask opt-out rate of about 23 percent."

Forced masking of kids is ineffective but the evidence of psychological harm is mounting.

DHSS COVID-19 data in Missouri’s school districts in the new year show that non-masked districts fared the same or better than masked districts. #NoMaskMandates
For example, Ritenour (unmasked) had 2.4% of its student body test positive for COVID, while St. Charles (masked) had 3.12% of its student body test positive.
Parkway (masked) had 4% of its student body test positive for COVID, while Wentzville (unmasked) had 2.6% of its student body test positive.

The effort to indoctrinate our kids through the divisive lens of #CriticalRaceTheory is happening in the heartland. Springfield Public Schools has been caught red handed & now are refusing to provide documents we’ve requested.

Today—on behalf of parents I filed suit. #CRT

A 🧵
According to our lawsuit, in one training, Springfield Public Schools' teachers were instructed to consult an "oppression matrix" and determine where they fall on that matrix. #CRT

See for yourself:
Additionally, at other trainings, Springfield Public Schools' teachers were presented with two images that classify “education funding from property tax" as "covert white supremacy," among other examples. #CRT
