Absolutely incredible and unprecedented! Already we are seeing people infected with MULTIPLE MONKEYPOX VARIANTS AT THE SAME TIME!! What the hell is going on!
The scientists found that infected had TWO SEPERATE VARIANTS with 3SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) mutations separating the two variants: this is absolutely MENTAL!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!
The scientists describe the deadly monkeypox virus here briefly:
This is really crazy stuff: the person WAS SO INFECTIOUS that they found the virus at a cycle threshold (CT value) as little as 10...that's extremely low...The rule of thumb is the lower the CT the more infectious they are:
The team obtained samples from 5 lesions on the infected patient: from that they found that had 2 separate variants! one from Germany and one from Italy:
'This Scottish case was linked to other sequences from continental Europe, indicating that this is an epidemiologically related outbreak of infections. Interestingly, the sequences from the five lesions was consistent with the presence of two variants, related to sequences...
...previously identified in Germany and Italy, indicating the presence of MPXV co-infection.'
'While MPXV genome sequence comparisons can be used to infer epidemiological linkage, detecting divergent sequences in the same individual has implications for linking MPXV cases...
...Specifically the potential presence of different variants in one person (due to coinfection) means nucleotide differences cannot be used to definitively rule out epidemiological linkage between infections.'
In my opinion it raises more questions than it answers: BUT, it certainly is interesting to know that you can be co-infected with multiple variants of monkeypox at the same time: AND THAT IT'S ALREADY HAPPENING!!
The samples from the lesions here:
Seen here the crazy monkeypox family tree (and we thought Omicron was nuts!)
Wow, incredible stuff. Great work by the all involved as well.
This really is an incredible virus: to be infected with multiple variants like so early on in the outbreak and to have so many variants at all, is just something else: entirely-what is going on?

100% agree: I have multiple stories from people who have clear symptoms (some how are quite ill, but cannot even get hold of a Dr) and they need to be tested an treated: the people I'm speaking to are outside of the MSM community, but have clear symptoms:
It's really time to grow up and have a reality check on all this: we have a problem on our hands: it's not going to just go away—there are a lot of people who are on day 8-9 of fever, the lesions have started to become and raw and look like they're going infectious etc.
8-9 days and counting of fever is no joke: It's not good to be that situation. What are we looking at? I don't really know exactly: as Dr @NjbBari3 said yesterday 'I can't get a feeling for this virus, something is just off' (paraphrase, but to that affect)
As well as quickly removing Monkeypox from the airborne pathogens list, the WHO has now removed SMALLPOX!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK:
H/T @mdc_martinus sorry Maarten I called you a virologist by mistake a few days ago, and t pissed you off: MAARTEN IS A BIOLOGIST:
So once again I do apologise to @mdc_martinus for that mistake I made with his profession. It was purely a mistake and nothing else.
The crazy thing about smallpox is that it's not just airbone: it can travel fucking miles: 9 miles being the lonegst on record. The fact the WHO is removing these scientific facts just shows how corrupt they are.
STORYTIME: Heard today that my brother has been infected again: 2nd time now, and he's been 3x vaccinated: sadly, over the course of the pandemic we've fallen out many times as he's taken the position of of a denier and was suckered in by Sweden's 'policy' early on.
The first time he was infected was back in Dec 2020 during the brutal London Alpha wave: he works for the NHS, however, was infected by flatmates: and the time he totally downplayed it: saying he lost taste and sell only: felt a bit tired...
As we know longer speak his current infection has been relayed to by my Mum: who has MS: we both grew up looking after: he knows full-well what illnesses can do: he seen, just as I have, when somebody's legs do not work anymore and they have to drag themselves across the floor
