“Did you already hear it?” “What?” Izuku turned around to face his friends. “The new guy.”
Kirishima raised his chin slightly, moving his eyes to point at the blonde loner. “He won’t survive.” The greenette rolls his eyes. “Whatever. I don’t really care.” He mumbled with a slight shrug, going back to eating his lunch.
School was cruel if you didn’t have any friends, everybody knew that. Not because of the loneliness though.
People were mean, everybody knew that as well. Especially if you didn’t fit into their standards.
The new guy definitely /didn’t/ fit into their standards.

Blonde, spiky hair, deep red eyes which glared at everyone walking by.
A few wristbands which were really colorful and his hem wasn’t buttoned up correctly.
He was going to be an easy prey for high schoolers. For bullies.
Izuku would mind his own business. It’s not like he has interest in getting into trouble after all.
Newbies always had to make the experience on their own.
When school ended, the greenette got into the full school bus, ready to drive home after an exhausting day.
He sat down on his seat. It was normal for everyone to have their assigned seat. Not that anyone wrote it down, everyone just knew.
Everyone knew not to sit down there, because it was Todoroki’s seat. And there, this was Ochaco’s seat. And oh, don’t you even dare sitting down on Mina’s seat or else…
So when the new guy got into the bus, he looked around, slowly moving onto his tiptoes to search for a free seat to sit on.
Everyone glared back. No one was going to remove their backpacks from their empty seats next to them.
»Shit.« Bakugou thought. »Why is this always happening to me?«
His whole body threatened to heat up. To boil. He didn’t like the way they were staring at him so… intense.
Neither did Izuku. The captain of the soccer game scooted over to the window, putting his backpack down between his legs without making a noise.
Katsuki slowly walked up the passage, stopping right next to the free seat. “Sit down already.” Izuku whispered, not even batting an eye while staring out of the window.
The blonde sat down. They didn’t speak with each other for the whole ride.
This was Katsuki’s assigned seat now. The seat next to the soccer captain. Next to Izuku Midoriya.
Every morning and every evening Katsuki would sit down next to Izuku and sometimes the other boy would say “Hi.” while the other gave a slight smile before looking away again.
This continued for several weeks till Katsuki scrolled through his phone one day, deciding to which song he will listen to today.

Izuku noticed.
“You listen to Wallows?” He asked in a soft tone, glancing at the other’s display. Katsuki nodded. “Yes, i like them.” “Me too.” The greenette responded before pulling his phone out of his pocket.
“If you like Wallows you should definitely try Dayglow.” Izuku said, showing the other their newest album cover. Katsuki leaned in, head tilted down slightly.
He nodded. “I will try them out.” “Great. Tell me what you think of them tomorrow, alright?” The new boy nodded again, standing up. He took his things and exited the bus at his station.
And the next day Katsuki entered the bus and plumped down in his seat. The bus was loud, teenagers singing, laughing, whatever.
Izuku looked out of the window.

“I listened to them.” Katsuki said, monotone. “Thank you, they’re nice.”
The greenette looked over his shoulder, smiling. “Yeah? I knew you’d like them.” He said happily. “You should listen to “HUNNY” though.” Bakugou went on.
The other male chuckled, slid his phone out of his pocket, typed the band’s name in and then saved it for later. “I will.” He responded.
Then it went silent again. None of them spoke and Izuku looked out of the window again.
Their daily exchange of music recommendations continued till there was no recommendations left to give.
The other day Katsuki had forgotten his headphone at home. Izuku asked him if he wanted to listen with him. The blonde said yes.
Time after time, the new guy wasn’t new at all anymore. The dumb little insults stopped as well. Katsuki was recognized as Izuku’s friend.
He started to “forget” his headphones on purpose, just to listen with the greenette and use it as an excuse to scoot closer every time.
“Do you like it?” “It’s a new band.” Katsuki answered. Izuku nodded and then asked again. “Do you like it?” “Yes.”
Izuku liked Katsuki. He didn’t talk much, yes, but when he did he talked nice. Soft words sliding off his tongue like butter. Izuku liked listening to him talk.
That’s why he would ask every question on this earth just to hear him answer them.
Days passed and if Izuku had to be honest, time /flew/. Especially the bus rides.

“My soccer game is today. After school.” Izuku said.
It was 7:40 am but the bus was extremely loud. It seemed like no one was tired at all.

“Good luck i guess.” Katsuki mumbled.
Izuku looked to his right where the blonde was leaning his head against the seat, eyes closed.

»He’s so good looking..«

“I was hoping..” Katsuki opened one eye just a bit, looking over through a small slit. “Hm?” He hummed.
“I was hoping you would cheer me on. Us, i mean. My team! I was hoping you’d cheer on my team.” The greenette explained, the music in his earbuds turned down slightly.
“Do I look like a cheerleader? Don’t you have bunch of people cheering you on?” “Yeah but-“ “See, then you won’t need me.”

The blonde closed his eyes again, enjoying the last 5 minutes of the bus ride without weird stares.
Getting off the bus, Katsuki walked straight to his locker room and then to class. His zoned off a few times but it didn’t matter much. His grades were on top anyways.

Lunch break came quick.
Katsuki stayed in the library while everyone was eating.
“Dude..” Izuku looked up from his plate, green, shiny eyes directly meeting yellow ones.

“Hm?” He swallowed his food. “Is it just me or are you hanging around Katsuki way more often lately?” “Mhm.” Mina hummed in agreement. “Denki’s right.” She added.
“He’s my friend.” The greenette raised an eyebrow in suspicion. “We’re good friends.” He mumbled then, poking into his food with a fork.

“You’re usually more talkative. Especially in the bus. Now you act like you don’t even know who we are.” Kirishima admitted.
“I’m talking to you guys right now, ain’t i?” Izuku defended himself. “I’m still the captain of the soccer team, I’m attending to every match, to every practice, i’m always at school…” Izuku listed off.
“Talking to Katsuki only happens 1 hour a day. 30 minutes on the ride to school and 30 minutes back. Let me have this, guys.”

For someone who looked like a sunshine he could argue and get off in 5 seconds.
His friends were stunned.
Heads sinking down again, continuing to eat.

Atleast this discussion was out of his way now.
And after school everyone stayed.
The soccer team at their school was rather popular. You had to be a complete idiot to miss one game!

Especially when Izuku was on field…
Katsuki was on his way to the bus station when he noticed it was more empty than usual.
He turned to the side, first left, then right, then left again.

»Where was everyone?«
“My soccer game is today. After school.” Izuku said.

How could he forget.
A part of Katsuki didn’t want to be this naive. Attending to a game he wasn’t even invited to. On the other hand there were no invites. You were free to go.

And technically he /was/ invited. By Izuku.
Bakugou didn’t have any siblings. It was just him and his parents which sucked sometimes.

His mom kept yelling all the time and Katsuki didn’t really have any other friends in this stupid town.
The bus arrived and the doors opened when he grabbed his bag and turned around, walking back into the school building.

The smell of popcorn wouldn’t leave his nose.

»They must really love soccer.«, he thought.
»Or maybe they just all love Izuku.« A voice in him said quietly.
Katsuki walked across the building, opening heavy metal doors. Behind it were loud voices, screaming, shouting, cheering.

His mind was having a “i should go” vs. “i should stay”- conflict and he didn’t like it.

But now, that he missed his bus anyways, it was worth staying.
He walked outside, the match had already begun as he searched for an empty seat in the crowd.

»So many people..«, he thought. He started to heat up again. Hands sweaty. »They aren’t staring at me, are they?« He worried.
They weren’t. Because as soon as Katsuki sat down on a seat, he realized they were all shouting one specific name.

“D-E-K-U! Our leader that is you!”

The blonde looked around, eyebrows raised. Who was that “Deku” guy now?

And where did he come from all of the sudden?
Katsuki needed to stop thinking so much. That’s what his mother told him atleast.

“Katsuki… honey… your brain will explode from all the thoughts you have in there.” She would giggle before tapping her son’s head twice, gently.

He didn’t like when she did that.
Bakugou was a bit small. Smaller than Izuku, you could say. Smaller than an average high school student.

He stood up, trying to have a better sight of the field.

Green, curly hair.
It was so easy to spot Izuku.
The fastest, one of the tallest, loudest and prettiest. Delete that last part.

Izuku was currently right behind the ball, staring at the goal.

“Is he going to make it?” The blonde heard whispers behind him. “With Shindo as a goal keeper? I don’t know.”
Katsuki concentrated on the boy on the field. He was dirty. His yellow shirt was muddy. His curls were everywhere.

Rain came slowly. As if it was trying to sneak around and then fall at the most unexpected moment.
Katsuki never would say it out loud but…

»He looks good.«

“Deku! Come on!” A guy shouted from the field. He looked like the trainer. “Make this shit! What were we practicing for all along?”

Izuku looked back at the guy.

Katsuki disliked him already.
There were a lot of things Katsuki hated. Or disliked.

Heat, summer, loud people, staring, english class, the smell of their school bus, their new house…

Rain was on that list as well. But it seemed like Katsuki was about to cross that one out.
Because when the rain got heavier, you were able to see Izuku’s chest and stomach underneath. His curls fell down, he was breathing heavily.

A hand moved through his green, wet but still shiny curls, stroking them back.
“What is he waiting for?” “He should just shoot..” “It’s not that hard!” Someone yelled.

Blood red eyes dug right into Izuku’s face. They were right. Was Izuku afraid of something? Something was wrong.
The greenette looked into the full crowd as if trying to look out for someone.

“Deku! Shoot already!” So that’s why they were shouting that stupid name earlier.

Izuku is Deku.
Katsuki was still standing. He got wet as well, fiddling with his fingers nervously.

Izuku was his friend after all. If something happened he would have to-

Izuku stared at him. The greenette raised his hand, smiled brightly and then waved it proudly.
The crowd was waving back in excitement. “Deku waved at me!” “I’m pretty sure he’s waving at me!” “Nu-uh!”

The blonde raised his hand to his chest, waving back softly. The ends of his lips curled upwards slightly.
In the next moment everyone cheered. Izuku made it. Another goal for their team. The game was no longer a tie, Deku’s team had won.

The crowd was louder than before.

Katsuki grabbed his bag and pressed himself out of the crowd. It was very uncomfortable but he managed it.
After, he sat down on a staircase inside of the building. Everyone was still outside, eating their popcorn and other snacks or cheering.

A few minutes passed, the loud noise still didn’t got any more quiet.

The locker room door opened and Katsuki sat up straight quickly.
He stared at the door, waiting for someone to come out. /Hoping/ for Izuku to come out. So maybe he would gratulate him to his victory.

A red haired male came out instead, drinking water out of a plastic bottle. Another yellow haired male followed right behind him.
Oh, the team was coming out.

A black haired male stepped out next, their clothing still wet, water dripping from their hair.

A pink haired girl followed, wearing shorts and a way too long shirt for her size.

They all stopped when spotting the blonde.
Katsuki felt small. He knew he was Izuku’s friend. This meant he was safe when Izuku was looking. He wasn’t when Izuku was gone, he knew.

He waited for them to say something. To threaten him. They didn’t. Well, not directly.
“Deku nearly lost the match.” The pink haired girl mumbled before her mouth went back to the water bottle. The redhead nodded, glaring at the smaller male.

“Because of you.” “What?” Katsuki was getting smaller and smaller with every second. That’s what it felt like atleast.
“The whole game he was playing terribly. Kept searching for someone in the crowd.” The other blonde explained. “And when you /finally/ decided to show up-“

The door opened again, heads turning into the direction where the sound of a creaking door was coming from.
“Kacchan!” Izuku came out, immediately spotting his friend. “You actually came! I saw you in the crowd!” He ruffled his hair with a white towel, water drops hitting the floor.

“Whatever.” Katsuki mumbled before standing up and taking his bag again.
He was fuming. He wasn’t some kind of treat everyone could eat as soon as Izuku wasn’t with him.

He wasn’t going to let himself get treated that way. Not today.

With his head up he went right through the wall the members of the team built in front of him,+
pushing them out of his way.

Izuku turned around, excitement leaving his face as he watched Katsuki walking away with his hands inside of his pocket.

The greenette sighed.

Why wouldn’t he just stay?
The next few weeks Katsuki acted strange.

He brought his headphones again, didn’t talk to him. He scooted extra far away everytime he sat down in the bus.

As if Izuku had a deadly disease he didn’t want to get affected with.
Friday.

The last day of school before winter break.

Izuku felt guilty. Did he do something? Was Katsuki mad?
First period.

English class. The greenette sat one seat behind the other who didn’t even paid attention to the lesson.

He thought about maybe throwing little paper balls at him, getting his attention.
Second period.

Biology class. Katsuki sat with Todoroki for the partner project.

Izuku was this close to ask him to be his lab partner. He was too slow though.
Lunch.

Katsuki sat all alone on a table where everyone left at least one seat space between them and the blonde.

He looked so… calm. Not aggressive or mad in any way.
“God, would you stop staring already?” Kirishima mumbles, chewing his tofu.
Izuku shrugs, looking at the other who was sitting right across the table.

“‘m not doing anything.” He answered before looking back down at this plate.
//i’m adding more warnings to this!!//
cw: Homophobia, slight angst (fear of rejection)
“The longer you look at him in class and stuff…” Denki snorts. “the more I believe you’re actually gay, dude!” Sero and Denki start laughing with the others.

As if a real hilarious joke was just made and no one could hold back.

Except for Kirishima.
Izuku sighed, shaking his head softly. His friends were dorks, sometimes. He knew that.

So /what/ if he was gay for Katsuki?!

There would be nothing to it!

But he wasn’t. He wasn’t even a little bit gay. And he was sure Katsuki wasn’t either.
The feeling of an empty stomach and nervousness wouldn’t leave him though. Not after lunch.

The guilt he was feeling was horrible.

Why even was he feeling guilty again?
At this moment, he couldn’t care less.
Because he was feeling it and it hurt.
It hurt knowing Katsuki didn’t want to talk to him. Not now, maybe not ever again.
Last period.

PE. Atleast he could clear his head with some sport.

“Okay! Everyone please run a few rounds around the field!”

Everyone started running.
Katsuki stayed behind.
Miss Miruko had always been a nice teacher. Everybody loved her. She had a great sense of humor as well.

So when Izuku watched Miruko talking to the blonde, /his friend/, on the bench, he knew something was up.
Then, they both started laughing from afar. As if his teacher made a funny joke. And Izuku sees why his friends thought he was gay for a split second.

Because he stops running, hands on his knees as he breaths heavily, watching the blonde smile.
And wow, it gets him.
Izuku’s heart races but not from the running.

Katsuki’s smile is bright, his shoulders move up and down with his laugh and his eyes are closed.

Like an ange-

“Deku! Hurry up!” Kirishima tuts him, shoving him forward.
Izuku sighed.
He was glad he didn’t watch him watching the others.

They would call him gay after all.
PE ended quicker than you would’ve thought. And then it was time for everyone to go home and enjoy the well deserved winter break.

The bus was filled, like always. But when Izuku came to his seat, it was empty, like always.

No one would dare to sit down on the captain’s seat.
Izuku plumped down onto his seat. He was all sweaty and his heart still ached. Like it did every week till now.

Then, a few minutes later, Katsuki sat down next to him.

He didn’t even waste a single sight at the other, ignored him like a pro.
The bus was loud. Loud enough to not hear his own thoughts anymore.

Izuku slid down his seat just slightly, making himself more unnoticeable.

Then he looked to his right.
Katsuki’s side profile looked wonderful.
His heart skipped another beat as he stared at the other’s plump lips.

God, Katsuki was going to be the end of him.
His eyes wandered down to his waist. How come it was so… small?
Next to Katsuki’s hips there were his hands, laid firmly on top of the seat.
They looked nice. Soft. As if they were screaming to get held, to be touched, anything.

Izuku looked up at Katsuki’s face again, breath hitching quietly. He still wasn’t looking.

And then his hand moved closer to the other’s, pinky touching the other’s.

Holding his breath.
Bakugou now noticed. He looked down at their fingers, then at Izuku whose back wasn’t even touching the seat anymore, then back at their fingers.

Then, the ends of his lips curled upwards slightly. Softly. His gaze went back to staring at the seat infront of him.
Izuku gently intertwined his pinky with the other’s. His heart skipped another beat.

It felt like he entered a new world. A better world. A world where he wanted Katsuki and him to be-

“Hey, Izuku!” The greenette quickly scooted back up, pulling his hand away from the other.
“Yeah?” The other gulped, turning around in his seat.

No one noticed, right? Right.
No one saw him acting all… gay.
“Next week. There’s a winter party at my place! You’re invited.” Denki smiled at him brightly before getting a slap on the back of his neck by some of his friends.

“Oh, okay.” The greenette nodded before turning around in his seat again.
“Everyone is invited..” He heard them whispering behind him now. “The whole bus except for..” They went quiet before bursting out into laughter.

“Wouldn’t this be hilarious?!” Sero cackled. “Him? At your party? He’s just going to embarrass himself!” He continued.
As if no one knew who they were talking about. As if no one knew they weren’t talking about Katsuki. Laughing about him.

Izuku looked to his right again. The blonde’s eyes were closed. He seemed to be listening to their conversation closely.
The greenette felt bad. Bad for not saying anything. For not standing up against his friends. He knew Katsuki felt bad even though he wasn’t showing it.
He turned around again, facing his friends with a dangerous stare. The laughter died down quickly as they stared back carefully.

“I wanna bring a friend. ‘s okay?” He asked.

His friends exchanged looks before smirking. “Sure. Bring whoever you want, captain..”
Izuku turned around /again/ and finally gave himself some rest. And then, when the volume in the bus was high up again, he did it again.

His hand slowly crawled up to the other’s, carefully.
He didn’t want anyone to see what he was doing. That he /wanted/ to touch another guys hand.

This time, Katsuki pulled away forcefully, glaring at him before looking away again. His hands were now positioned in his lap.
The next station, the blonde stood up and left the bus, like always.

He left Izuku there, showing him his cold side.
The next days were horrible to him.

Izuku spent time at home with his mom. Not that he had anything against it. Spending time with his mom.

But he missed the bus rides.
He missed seeing Katsuki laugh.
Missed hearing him complain about a random thing again.
He missed how his heart raced everytime he got near him.
And oh, how he missed when their fingers touched. On accident or full on purpose.

But he wasn’t g-

“Izuku! Can you come and help me real quick?”
The greenette stood up from the sofa he was sitting in comfortably, following where the voice came from.

It smelled great.

“Is papa coming over for christmas this year?” He asked, helping his mother get the seasonings out of the highest cupboard.
He probably was two heads taller than her.

She sighed. “I don’t think so. But he will try to make it to new year’s eve!” His mother gave a soft smile before stroking down the other’s shirt with her flat hand, dusting it off.
“Your friends are not coming over anymore, Izuku.”

He knew that talk would come soon. It was just a matter of time. He sucked in his breath, standing still after giving his mom the seasonings.

“You can be honest with me…“ The green haired woman mumbled in hesitation.
“Are you gay?” “Is that new guy your boyfriend?” “Are you /not normal/?”

Izuku saw his life flashing before his eyes.
/No, no, no!/

“I’m not!” The greenette blurted out quickly, shaking his head. “And i’ll never be! I don’t know who told you I was but I’m not!”
“Oh?” His mother looked a bit stunned before going back to seasoning the chicken.

“I’m glad you’re not loosing interest in soccer. I thought you got kicked out of the team.” She chuckled. “You never tell me about your training lately.”
Izuku sighed. /Shit./ “Yeah, no! I’m still the captain of the team. I just… have other friends as well.” He said, leaning against the counter.

His arms were crossed above his chest and he looked like- was he sweating?!

“Oh? New friends? Maybe you can bring them over sometime!”
“Well…” Inko looked at her son for a quick second before humming a song quietly. “A bit of vinegar…” She mumbled. Izuku quickly grabbed the bottle, giving it to her.

“He’s just one friend. He moved here a few months ago.” He said. “I don’t know he’s really… busy.” Izuku lied.
“You can invite him over for dinner some time! Or maybe his family wants to join us on christmas eve?” “That doesn’t sound like a good-“ “Alright! So i’ll cook some more and then it’s settled!” She said excitedly, clapping her hands together.
“You invite your friend and his family and i’ll get everything ready!” She smiled. So bright, how was Izuku going to deny her?
Tell her Bakugou was not /that/ kind of friend. Or was he?

Izuku didn’t know himself.
The next days Izuku went outside a lot.

‘M going for a run, ma!” “Alright, sweetheart. Be careful outside! The streets are icy!” “Yes! Thank you!”

The greenette put on his sport jacket.
It smelled… like an athlete’s clothes would smell. (horrible).
But he refused to wash it often. The scent of his father would leave the clothing.
Izuku’s father wasn’t always there. Well, most of the time he was on business trips, visiting important people.

He only saw his dad once or twice a year.
He saw how bad his mother felt because Izuku never grew up with a real father figure.
But atleast they were able to afford everything. A good college after high school, a warm and cozy house, good food, high quality clothing, hell, they even went eating at restaurants atleast once every month.
So /how/ bad could Izuku’s life be?

“Terrible.” The greenette mumbled after closing the front door behind him. “I feel terrible.” He whispered to himself before taking out his headphones and putting on some music.

/HUNNY./
Down the street he ran, the same route the bus would drive every morning and every afternoon, after school.

Eventually, he arrived at the bus station Katsuki got in and out of the bus on a daily.

Izuku was sweating. Sweating in winter.
Yes, you could make it easier and just /call/ the other to invite him over but Izuku was too shy to ask.

Well, not too shy. He didn’t want any of his friends to see how he asks the other for his telephone number.

And the greenette couldn’t find Katsuki anywhere on In/stagram.
Maybe he didn’t even have a phone? Who knew. So Izuku had to visit himself on his own.

Which was… a really stupid idea considering his lungs were burning from the running and he didn’t even know where the blonde lived exactly.
So he did the next best thing:
Running past every house, looking into the windows unsuspiciously while he was at it.

His legs hurt. It was really as icy as his mother warned him.

But it was worth it.

Seeing that spiky, blonde hair and that adorable face was worth it all.
“Katsuki Bakugou! How often do I need to tell you to not make such a mess everytime!”

Izuku stopped, sliding a few centimeters on the sidewalk.

A woman’s voice was to hear loud and clear.
The greenette’s eyes were fixated on the big, white building, third floor.

So Katsuki lived there?

Izuku’s hands were already numb and hiding them inside of his jacket pockets wasn’t very efficient.
The tall male walked up to the house where the yelling came from, reading every name on the doorbell carefully.

“BAKUGOU”

He pressed the small button next to the surname and waited a few moments before the same voice spoke through the speaker.
“Hello?” “Hello.” He answered with hesitation. “I am Izuku Midoriya. I’m in the same year as Katsuki? I wanted to…” The greenette’s voice got quiet. “ask something for a school project.” He said before a loud and long tone appeared.
The door opened by itself, letting their new guest in.

Izuku walked up a few stairs before a wooden door opened and a kind looking lady greeted him.

“Katsuki never tells me about his friends.” She says with a bright smile. “You’re welcome any time, Izuku! Come in!”
He smiled back politely before taking off his shoes and getting inside.

“Katsuki!” The smaller woman next to him yelled now, again. “A guest for you, get out of your room!” She looked at a door before her gaze went back to the freckled male.
“If you need anything, just shout “Mitsuki” and i’ll be there.” With that, she walked off, into the living room probably.

And then, another door opened with a creak.
A beautiful boy stepped out, wearing a t-shirt, way too big for his size. Printed on it was a grey skull. He was also wearing grey joggers.

It was Katsuki. His hair looked as usual, just… something was different.
Maybe it was the smell.
It smelled like cigarettes. In the whole building. Maybe that’s the reason why his mother didn’t complain when getting that close to him.

His jacket didn’t smell like flowers, after all.
Izuku smiled at him before lifting up his hand and waving.

Bakugou widened his red eyes, blinking a few times to comprehend what was even happening.

Izuku Midoriya? In his apartment?!
“What the fuck!” The blonde cursed loudly before grabbing the other’s wrist and pulling him into his room.

“Katsuki fucking Bakugou! Language!” His mother yelled before the door closed with a loud “bang” behind them.
The room was quiet and Izuku looked around for a few seconds.
The room was cozy.
And it didn’t necessarily smelled bad in here.
The blanket on his bed was folded perfectly, his desk was set up with all utensils and books you’d ever need, and oh, there was a MP3-player in the corner next to a window.
“Surprise?…” Izuku said, unsure of what to say next. This wasn’t the reaction he was hoping for.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” The blonde said, glaring up at the other who made a step back against the door.

“Is this a dumb joke?!” Katsuki asked.
He lifted his finger, poking the other into the chest and pushing him against the door some more.
“It’s not funny!”
“Wait!” The greenette lifted his arms up, showing his bare palms to the other in defense.

His cheeks were threatening to get red. Being this close up to the other.
Katsuki’s arms slowly went back down, hanging next to his hips.

“I just wanted to… invite you.” Katsuki scoffed, rolling his eyes. Then he turned around and walked toward his bed, sitting down on it.

“My mom asks if your family wants to have dinner with us.”
Bakugou chuckled.
“I’m serious.” The chuckling stopped and Izuku slowly stepped forward, away from the door.

Katsuki’s deadly stares were nearly cutting him open. But from the inside out.

“Your mom asks.” The blonde repeated. “Not you?” “I mean..”
Izuku scratched the back of his head nervously. “It wasn’t my idea and-“ “So you don’t actually want us there.” “Your mom is just… overfriendly.” “No! I-“ “I get it.”

Katsuki got nothing. To Izuku, Katsuki didn’t even know half of the truth.
“It’s all a funny little game to you.” The blonde continued. His expression never changed and Izuku gulped visibly. He didn’t even know what the other was talking about!

“/I/ want you there, Kacchan!” He interrupted the other before he was going to say something again.
“Kacchan?” Katsuki raised an eyebrow in concern now. “Yeah.” Izuku nodded. Maybe he was putting way too much confidence into that nod but he didn’t care. “If you know other people call me “Deku”, then I needed to find an embarrassing nickname for you too.”
And see, Izuku was ready to get punched and kicked out for this one. But Katsuki snorted. He shook his head softly and laughed.
“Okay, Deku.” He said. “When are you inviting me to dinner?” “…Christmas eve?” Izuku said quietly.
Christmas. The celebration of love.
Did the blonde really want to spend it with Izuku? It was worth a shot.

“Okay. I’ll ask my parents if we can visit you.” He shrugged. The greenette smiled brightly, nodding.

“I promise you won’t regret it.”
“I’m sure I won’t.”
December 21.

“Mom, dad?” Katsuki sat at the dinner table more polite than usual.

His parents gazes were on him, trying to figure out what he was going to say next.

“You remember that guy that came over a few days ago?”
“Ah, yes, your boyfriend! He was very sweet.”
Masaru chuckled at the comment of his wife. “And he’s very tall… I didn’t know that that’s your typ-“ “He is /not/ my boyfriend!” The blonde interrupted quickly, shaking his head.

“But you’re-“ “I /know/ I’m gay, mom, that doesn’t mean every guy that comes around is my-“
“Lover.” His das ended the sentence before showing some pasta into his mouth. Katsuki nodded and it was quiet again.

You could hear the sharp and high pitched noises coming from the plate and the knife sliding on it but nothing else.
Bakugou gulped before opening his mouth again, taking a deep breath.

“He invited us over. Into his house, you know. For christmas eve to have a dinner with his mom.”

Mitsuki looked up from her plate quickly before a bright smile made its way all across her face.
“Yes! Absolutely! Why didn’t you ask before? I need to prepare some presents then!”

Katsuki sighed out of relief.
Why was it so hard to ask your parents to meet a /friend/?
December 22

Katsuki is writing in his diary.

»The imagination of him trying to hold my hand still doesn’t leave me alone.
I want to hold his hand, I think. But I know he doesn’t want me to.
I know he’s embarrassed of being around me. He’s embarrassed of being friends with me.
Still I think i miss him. I don’t know what it is but the moment he left my room again it felt kind of empty.«
December 23

The Bakugous started panicking.

“Masaru! Some strawberries! Cut faster!” Mitsuki ordered him around in the kitchen, trying to make a delicious dessert for the Midoriyas.
Katsuki was in his room, grunting as the bow always popped back open, no matter how hard he tried.

He already had the perfect gift for Izuku, without a doubt.
December 24

“Everyone let’s go!” Mitsuki held the keys in her hand as she opened the door, watching her husband and son leaving before she locked the door behind them.

“Chill, ma. It’s just /one/ dinner.” Katsuki mumbled, seeing the excitement in her eyes.
“And it’s /one/ new friend for your “ma”, Katsuki.” She smiled.

Katsuki knew pretty well where Izuku lived.

A big house, painted in some kind of beige, he told him.
And it was near the bus stop, so Katsuki had no problems guiding his parents through the snowy weather.
———
/Knock. Knock. Knock./

The door opened quickly, a green haired lady holding it while smiling brightly. “Oh hello! You must be…” “Katsuki’s parents!” Mitsuki introduced them.

“This is Masaru, my husband, and I am Mitsuki.” Then she looked to her right.
Katsuki stood there, hands on the big glass bowl with chocolate strawberries in them. His hands were pale, cheeks red just like his nose, freezing.

“And this is Katsuki, obviously.” She chuckled, moving one hand through his spiky hair quickly.
“Oh! Izuku’s friend! Come in, come in!” Inko cheered with a soft laugh. “Izuku! They’re here!” The mother shouted through the house before helping the family put their jackets and shoes away.
Izuku was excited. No, he was nervous. His white blouse he was wearing was already drenched in sweat, it seemed.

/Why was he so nervous?! Katsuki was just a friend after all./
He came out of his room quickly, putting on his best, friendly smile.

He was taller than all of them except Katsuki’s father and it showed. Tilting his head down to shake everyone’s hand.
“I’m Izuku.” He said as if Katsuki never even mentioned the famous Deku.

“They know.” He mumbled underneath his breath, following the mother and son into the living room.
A big fire place decorating the room, lightening it up with christmas love.

The big christmas tree in the middle was shining brightly in the most vibrant colors.

Under it?
Plenty of presents.

Bakugou’s joined.
“It is so nice to finally meet you, Katsuki!” Inko finally broke the ice, sitting down at the large dining table. “Oh, Izuku told me so much about you, you’re a real lucky charm.” “Am I?” Katsuki asked with a slight smile, trying his best to stay polite.
His look at Izuku betrayed him though. Red eyes poking into his skin. “Yes! Izuku won his match, remember?” She said, clapping her hands together.

“Mitsuki, Masaru, the food you brought looks delicious. Let’s eat!”

Inko was such a bright person.

The chat between the parents was going well, talking about interests and their sons, about Masaru’s new job, the cause of which they even moved into town.

And while they talked off each other’s ears, Izuku lead Katsuki into his room, showing him around.
“So, uhm... What do you wanna d-” “Are you nervous?” The blonde quickly interrupted the other, closing the door behind him.

Izuku hesitated before turning his face away, scared the other would laugh at him for his blush.
“Why?” “What?” “Why are you so nervous?” Izuku sat down on his bed, frustrated. “You could’ve told me, you know?”, Katsuki started now again, arms crossing above his chest.

“What?”

“That you didn’t want me here and it was just nice manners of you or something.”
“I already told you it’s not like that!” Izuku argued quickly, looking up at the other who was still standing against the wooden door.

“Then what is it?! Why are you always acting like…” The blonde decided to not end that sentence.

He knew already how this would end.
“How am I /supposed/ to act?!” The greenette stood up, walking up to the other.

His heart skipped another beat. “How am I supposed to act when I hear your voice like that?” He asks, arguing with his hands.
“Or- or when you do that stupid crunch thing with your nose when something bothers you!”

“I don’t do that!” He said in defense, scrunching his nose slightly.

Izuku’s heart warmed a bit.
“When you know everything better than I do. When- when you’re driving me /crazy/!”

Katsuki felt strong hands pushing him against the door by his shoulders and he looked up in awe.

How could he not recognize how /fucked/ he was? How fucked they both were?
And still, he couldn’t help but stare at those pink, slightly chapped lips who wouldn’t shut up, listing off things Katsuki does.

He wasn’t paying attention anymore, after all.

Stuck in a slow mode.
Izuku’s breath was heavy as he finished talking, a painful look on his face, as if he was close to cry.

“How am I supposed to act, Kacchan? Tell me.” He whispered with a quiet whine.
Izuku… Did you fall for me?

- Bakugou’s confession -

“the stars look so beautiful tonight.” “yeah, they really do.” he whispered while staring at the other’s face, lightening up in the moonlight.
Katsuki was never the type to look at someone like this. So… stunned. Amazed by someone’s beauty. But there he was, sitting next to his childhood friend, imagining how his lips would feel against the others’.
The blonde had been feeling like this for a while now. His stomach turned and there was a lump in his throat. Sweat would start to break through the fabric of his clothes.

All just because of the thought of-

“Well, you look at him just like you are.” “Shut your mouth.” A dirty cloth hit Hanta’s bare chest. “One more word and I will blow you up into the air they won’t even find your limbs anymore.”

This was all Katsuki needed to make the changing room go completely quiet.
“Plus I don’t even know if he’s…” “gay?” Ochaco asks her best friend. Izuku nods silently. “That’s why you should go for it!” “This is absurd.” “Not if you haven’t tried yet.” Todoroki interrupts both of them.

toxic exes.

Izuku and him were never good at whatever they were doing.

This whole… relationship thing.
“Fuck, fine!” Katsuki shouted at the other. “Don’t come back running after me then!”

“Your ego is so big and it /reeks/!“ Izuku yells back. “Yeah? /My/ ego is big?” It sounded like a question, Izuku knew damn well it wasn’t.
In the next second a glass, filled with water flew across the room, hitting the white wall of their apartment.

Izuku gasped, staring at the big wet spot on their wall. His eyes were wide when he looked back at the other, green eyes filled with anger and rage.

First kiss
#Shinkami #sfw #fluff
“Hey.” Shinsou looked up from his book, catching Denki’s yellow, shiny eyes.

“Who was your first kiss?”
»What an odd question.«, Shinsou thought. But Kaminari was always asking odd or weird questions and to him? They weren’t weird or embarrassing at all.
The blonde sunk into the big pillow, filled with styrofoam balls, waiting for an answer.
