Jon Ossoff and I got married. A miracle since Sebastian Stan derailed lobola negotiations and Idris Elba crashed the wedding!

Jason Momoa, Taika Waititi, Jon and I were happy until Taika’s #Lightyear press tour with Chris Evans
Taika Waititi confessed to me how he felt about Chris Evans

I told him Jason and Jon had noticed his closeness with Chris and were jealous and hurt

He just sent me a message checking in on the tension at home

He asked me what I want

I just don’t want to blow up my whole life
Chris Evans is on his way

He says he knows he’s made mistakes and hasn’t been the man I need

Being around Taika he understands that he has to be a good brother husband

He’s sorry he disrespected Jon and Jason

He wants me to be honest about how I feel
I told Taika Waititi that I also love Chris Jamal Evans

I always have but I am not willing to lose my husbands, Jon Ossoff and Jason Momoa over it

Just before I scooted my teen off to bed I was telling him about Ruby Bridges

Then it turned to a convo about how I was one of the 1st kids to desegregate South African schools

He was shocked

I implore Black people to tell their stories

Kids need to know to OUR RECENT history Image

We do not want you to experience what it was like.

Our parents experienced WORSE!!!

Our grandparents experienced ATROCITIES!

All you have to do is 🗳️
We are not a post race society

Not when our elders still have a living memory of WHITES ONLY public institutions

Not when folks with living memory of those times are trying to take us back

Misinformation: Democrats don’t pass laws for Black people

Fact: Republicans sue to overturn Black laws

For example: Senator Bae Raphael Warnock’s $5 BILLION bill for Black farmers was blocked in court
Senator Bae promised to help Georgia’s Black farmers

In 2021 he introduced the Emergency Relief for Farmers of Color Act and fought to get it in the American Rescue Plan

Senator Graham called it reparations

Senator Toomey proposed an amendment to strip it from ARP but failed
The bill’s provisions in the ARP provided $4B for loan forgiveness and $1B for grants

Senator Bae, Senator My Boo and Agriculture Secretary Vilsack celebrated the announcement in Georgia

It was a major civil rights victory because it addressed decades of systemic discrimination

All the critiques about VP Kamala Harris not doing “serious interviews” miss how this convo, on “Call Her Daddy” on VP using the government to rectify the power imbalance of abuse/ control, is better than the gotcha “serious journalist” interviews
Gotcha questions are not designed to elicit thoughtful and nuanced answers

They are designed to create negative viral moments

BUT here is the thing you can have viral moments by giving people the space to give genuine, funny and heartfelt answers
The goal of an in depth interview should be to get the person to reveal themselves

If they are a good person that will come through

Conversely if they aren’t good it will show

“What did your mother instill in you?”
