I had the baby.

I decided that I should take the consequences of my actions.

I was just a teenager but I thought, 'If I'm old enough for sex, I'm old enough to look after a baby.'

I thought, 'OK, I can go to uni later. There's no reason I can't do all the things I want to do ... I just have to figure it out. I might have no £ but there must be help available.' (Haha).

In other words, I did EXACTLY what these 'pro-lifers' want.

Did they help me?? HELL NO.

They called me a slut.

They said my son was destined for jail.

They called us both a DRAIN ON SOCIETY.

They did this all throughout my pregnancy & my entire young adulthood. Even when I got married apparently I looked 'too young' to have a kid 'so old' -- so therefore I must be 'stupid'.

Pro-Lifers stood by jeering and offering NOTHING.

When I come across one on here talking about how 'women need to take the consequences of their actions' like somehow they make babies by themselves like the frigging Virgin Mary, I ask them:

'I did what you said. I needed your help. Where were you?'

Every single time these 'pro-lifers' say, 'If I'd known you then, I would have helped you.'

So I direct them to the multiple organisations that help teen mums and poor mums, or those that help women who want to put their kids up for adoption.

I tell them, 'I will be watching your profile. I want to see pics of you helping or donating to these orgs, or taking destitute women into your home. You need to put your money and time where your mouth is, or I will assume you're talking out of your ass.'

Guess what happens??

Most block me. Some fervently agree and say ABSOLUTELY THEY WILL DO THIS.

So I watch their profile. Time passes.

NADA.

No pictures. No donations. No campaigns.

Instead, the 'pro-lifers' continue with thread after thread about how women need to take the consequences of their actions.

Because this was never about babies.

It's always been about controlling women.
