Izuku and him were never good at whatever they were doing.
This whole… relationship thing.
“Fuck, fine!” Katsuki shouted at the other. “Don’t come back running after me then!”
“Your ego is so big and it /reeks/!“ Izuku yells back. “Yeah? /My/ ego is big?” It sounded like a question, Izuku knew damn well it wasn’t.
In the next second a glass, filled with water flew across the room, hitting the white wall of their apartment.
Izuku gasped, staring at the big wet spot on their wall. His eyes were wide when he looked back at the other, green eyes filled with anger and rage.
The glass splintered onto the ground, dividing into a million pieces. Izuku exhaled. You might think he was trying to calm down but no, he was just getting more air to continue yelling at the other.
“Have you lost your /mind/?!” His throat slowly went dry, hands speaking fluent paragraphs, directly aimed at Katsuki.
His hands were balled into fists and sometimes released just for him to point at his own forehead. “Are you crazy?!” He asked loudly.
“Are /you/ crazy?! Running around telling everyone we’re /not/ a couple?!” The blonde shouted back in defense.
“Because we aren’t!” “Who told you that shit?!” Katsuki moved one hand through his spiky hair. He was sweating.
He always started heating up when they started fighting. And it happened not so rarely.
Izuku rolled his eyes, cheeks getting more shades of pink with every word.
“You did!” He threw back at Bakugou’s head, “You’re never showing me, atleast!”
“Hah?!” The other male looked at him with confusion on his face. He couldn’t really follow. And the more he thought about it, the more he forgot what they were fighting about anyways.
“Where’s the love you promised to show me, Kacchan?!”
Ah, he remembered.
Izuku’s going feral again.
“I-I can’t see it! I can’t feel it!” The greenette’s voice went up slightly.
Katsuki knows that part. His boyfriend is about to cry.
“Deku…” He mumbled, his adrenaline was still shooting into the air but Izuku was /his/ boyfriend, he needed to keep in mind.
Izuku’s neck went weak, head dropping down. He hid his eyes behind his arms, sobbing.
“You don’t really love me..” The slightly smaller male cried into his arms before Katsuki stepped closer to him. “I do..” He said, trying to convince himself that this was normal.
That fighting nearly every day of the week and hating the other was normal.
“You don’t… not like normal couples do.” Izuku replied, voice wobbly. He still wasn’t looking up at the other who was only a few centimeters away now.
The blonde laid his big, strong hands on the other’s shoulders gently, moving his thumbs up and down slowly.
“We don’t need to be a normal couple.” Katsuki answered before the other looked up again, breaking down the wall he built between them with his arms.
Bakugou removed his hands from the other’s shoulder which kept trembling and caressed Izuku’s cheeks. He wiped away all the tears, all the wetness, all the anger and sadness which shouldn’t belong to Izuku.
Izuku was still an angel in Katsuki’s eyes. And he would always be one.
“You’re so mean..” The greenette’s eyebrows curled up slightly while looking at the other. He found comfort in Bakugou even though he probably shouldn’t. He couldn’t care less.
“I know.” The blonde whispered back. But not proudly. He sighed, as if Katsuki didn’t want Izuku to say it out loud.
“Is everything alright again?” He changed the topic and his boyfriend nodded softly, sniffling.
It was quiet in the apartment. There were no birds chirping, it was night overall. Only an owl was to hear.
The blonde moved his index finger and his thumb, holding Izuku’s chin before lifting it up as gentle as he could, capturing his slightly swollen lips in a kiss.
And Izuku leaned in, eyes closed.
“I love you.” He mumbled underneath his breath.
And Izuku said it back.
END
Based on this tweet (I hope you don’t mind the idea was just to catchy🫶)
“Did you already hear it?” “What?” Izuku turned around to face his friends. “The new guy.”
Kirishima raised his chin slightly, moving his eyes to point at the blonde loner. “He won’t survive.” The greenette rolls his eyes. “Whatever. I don’t really care.” He mumbled with a slight shrug, going back to eating his lunch.
School was cruel if you didn’t have any friends, everybody knew that. Not because of the loneliness though.
