All is not as it appears to be, and some people will be super horrible in this one
**
So Izuku and Katsuki get into a relationship in their second year of middle school. Katsuki is absolutely confident
and secure in his feelings for his Deku. Katsuki can’t see himself spending any time with anyone else but Deku. He knows he wouldn’t be where he is now without Deku’s constant praise and admiration driving him to be better—/do/ better. While he probably won’t be someone who saves
everyone with a smile like All Might, he strives to hope that his presence will be just as impactful as his idol’s.

However, on the other hand, Izuku…isn’t as confident in their relationship. Now, it’s not that he doesn’t like Kacchan. Loves him with all his heart and soul, but
the thing is, since the beginning of his relationship, all he’s ever heard is how incompatible he is with someone as amazing and awesome as Kacchan. From fellow students, to former childhood acquaintances, to even his /own mother/, Izuku’s always being reminded at how Izuku’s
nothing more than a stepping stone to Kacchan’s future success.

//“Don’t be shocked and surprised if that boy decides to leave you one day in the future. People with powerful quirks don’t associate with us with weak quirks—even less so those without them.”//

This obviously did
things to his psyche. Made him think harder about his relationship with Katsuki. He knew he shouldn’t, especially given how wonderfully the blond treats him, but he still can’t help it. Still can’t help but worry that maybe Katsuki’s got his eye on someone else.
Things only get worse when they both get into UA, while Katsuki is naturally accepted into the hero course, while Izuku, despite being praised for getting flying colors on the practical exam, as well as presenting an award winning idea and invention for the support course, is
still placed in the general course. What’s even worse, is that the hologram presenting his acceptance letter casually mentions not feeling comfortable having a quirkless student in his course, so he got bumped out for someone else.

It devastates Izuku, but when Katsuki asks why
he didn’t get in, Izuku lies and says that his invention wasn’t all that good.

It doesn’t help when Izuku sees the people Katsuki attending class with, all the pretty and gorgeous looking students with amazing quirks. Even worse it feels like Katsuki list of admirers /grows/.
Natural, given how powerful his quirk is.

However, contrary to what Izuku things, Katsuki turns them all away. He doesn’t give into their promises of a better relationship and a better future. Because none of them can provide the same level of comfort and security that Deku can.
While most do eventually give up, there is one who remains the most persistent, and Denki Kaminari is just that persistent sort who won’t easily give in. When he realizes that Bakugou won’t give in, he goes for the weakest link in the relationship—which is obviously Midoriya.
Denki knows an insecure person when he sees one and Midoriya’s showing all the signs of being someone who’ll easily break off the relationship if given a little push.

So, he needles Midoriya almost constantly, whenever he sees the green haired annoyance showing up at their table
for lunch, Denki makes a point of acting as if he and Bakugou are closer than they actually are. He intertwines their arms together, lazy his head on Bakugou’s shoulder—generally all the intimate things Midoriya’s too scared to do with his own boyfriend. Denki won’t lie, he gets
a major kick outta seeing those green eyes well up with tears before he weakly tells everyone that he’s leaving. He also gets Mina and Hanta in on it, both of them often commenting about how cute Denki and Bakugou look together. They often say it aloud whenever Midoriya’s around
planting seeds of doubt in his head.

Denki keeps this up for some while, until one day, he gets his change during Class A’s truth or dare. Mina specifically arranged the seating so that she’d be the one giving Katsuki the dare. Luckily, with a bit of needling, they’re able to
convince the blond to choose ‘dare’. Mina immediately dares him to kiss Denki. At first the blond hesitates, but then Denki lies and says he can just give him a kiss on the cheek and it’ll count. So Bakugou relents. Hanta takes out his phone and starts recording as Bakugou slowly
approaches, holding Denki by the face to plant a kiss to his cheek—unbeknownst to Denki looking extremely uncomfortable—and just before he can, Denki turns his head at the last second, pretending to be ‘startled’, and they end up locking lips. The kiss doesn’t last long as
Bakugou immediately shoves Denki away with an angry shout.

“What the fuck was that, Pikachu?!”

“I-I’m sorry!” Denki squeaked, “I thought I saw a roach crawling up the wall and it freaked me out!”

All eyes turn to the wall, where there is no bug at all. Bakugou storms off with
a huff, refusing to play again after that, but the deed had been completed. Hanta sends the video to Denki who then shows it to Midoriya one afternoon.

“See, I told you Bakugou loves me,” Denki says snidely, enjoying the absolutely heartbroken look Midoriya wears. “You really
should just leave him and stop holding him back.”

Denki gets his wish when two days later, the couple get into a nasty argument and Midoriya screams he wants to break up before storming off. Denki is absolutely giddy because he’s finally gotten his wish.

Izuku on the other hand
is absolutely miserable. He regrets screaming at his boyfriend, but he can’t shake that video. Can’t shake the way he saw how gently Kacchan cradled Kaminari’s face in his hands (he never sees how Kacchan immediately shoved the other blond away and shouted at him, as that part
had been cut from the video), so it’s clear that his Kacchan is his no more.

To settle his heart, Izuku focuses on his classes, focuses on making into the Support Course—and eventually he does (after making the department head who’d originally turned him down eat his own words).
But it doesn’t hide the fact that just months after their breakup Kacchan starts dating Kaminari. Izuku dies inside watching at how /good/ Kaminari looks hanging off Kacchan’s arm. How happy they appear to be. He hates it. Despises it with all his heart and soul. He prays they
don’t last, but it doesn’t matter what he wants. He /chose/ this. He told himself over and over that he was just protecting his heart.

But why does it still feel like he’s made a stupidly hasty decision?

Izuku finds himself agonizing over it for weeks, crying in the quiet
moments at leaving behind Kacchan like that.

Time goes on and they graduate from high school and surprisingly Kacchan and Kaminari are going strong—they’re both pros now, while Izuku is an intern at an up and coming support tech start up (created by Hatsume Mei obviously).
(Clocked in for work, sorry)

Their paths cross from time to time, and he feels like he’s dying see how happy they are together, but he tells himself it’s for the best, even his mom has praised him for his smart decision making.

//“You’re smart to have left him when you did.
You would’ve only faced heartache if you kept that relationship going.”//

However, he’s surprised when he runs into Katsuki’s mother who seems disappointed that Izuku’s left Katsuki.

//“You two actually made for a good couple. That boy he’s with now…I don’t know what to say
about him. It feels like he’s a step down from when the brat was with you.”//

Izuku is surprised to hear that from her. He’d always assumed that Mitsuki also thought Izuku was a burden to Katsuki. But he doesn’t dwell on it too much.

However, about three years after they
graduated from high school, news outlets report that Kacchan and Kaminari are getting married, and the wedding is going to be held in their hometown of Musutafu.

Weeks after the announcement, Izuku and his mother receive personal invitations to the wedding—as in, Katsuki and
Kaminari drop by the apartment to hand them off to them.

Izuku avoids looking at them both, he can practically see he the smug and superior grin Kaminari wears from his spot on the couch while the engaged couple make small talk with his mother. Izuku subtly grinds his teeth as
he hears her babbling on about how cute they are as a couple. Even going as far as to suggest having children together.

“You know, I know some people at my job at the hospital who have quirks who can help same-sex couples have their own kids together. Your mother still has my
number, Katsuki-kun, just call me whenever you and Kaminari-san decide on having a family. I think you so would have some adorable children together.”

Izuku abruptly gets up, unwilling to listen for another second. The thought of hearing his ex happily plan his future with
someone else makes him sick.

“I can’t go,” Izuku blurts out tersely. “I’ve got a lot of projects I’ve been putting on the back burner and that weekend is going to be busy for me.”

It’s not entirely a lie, the weekend of Kacchan and Kaminari’s wedding there’s a big support tech
convention and Mei was invited as a guest speaker. She’s also extended the invitation to Izuku to help him get more clients outside of the ones desperate enough to get new gear.

He turned it down because he was always scared of being rejected due to his quirkless status, but now
is a perfect time to go, if at least to get away from the knowledge that he’ll soon lose the only guy he’s ever loved.

Kaminari puts on a big show of being heartbroken that Izuku can’t attend (though Izuku thinks Kaminari’s even more pleased that Izuku won’t be coming), while
Kacchan is oddly quiet. His carmine irises practically boring holes into Izuku’s skull. Kaminari makes an appeal to the other blond to get Izuku to change his mind, saying he wants ‘all his friends in attendance’, but Katsuki merely huffs.

“If Deku doesn’t want to come, than he
can’t. Who are we to go force him to go? Deku’s got his own life now and it doesn’t revolve around us. Let’s go, thanks for letting us take up your time today.”

Katsuki stands, and Kaminari scrambles after him, immediately latching onto his arm and kissing him, chirping out a
happy little, “Bye, bye Midoriya-kun.” Seemingly now happier, despite breaking out in tears just moments before.

As soon as they leave, his mother berates him for being so rude, only for Izuku to snap back at her.

“Are you the one who told me to distance myself from him? Why
are you upset with me? Besides, I hadn’t lied, I’m busy—I don’t have time to attend Kac—Bakugou’s wedding. If you want to go, by all means, /go/, but I won’t.”

Izuku doesn’t bother listening to her after that, storming out of the room.

(Gotta head back to work, pausing here)
(Evening storm knocked out power so I went to bed, 😅)

Izuku decides to throw himself into work, anything to take his mind off making the biggest mistake of his life and the fact that in a few weeks' time he'll lose Kacchan for good this time.

"I don't care.,"
Izuku tells himself. "I. Don't. Care."

As the days to the wedding slowly encroaching, Izuku desperately wants to get out of dodge and practically begs Mei to let him tag along to the convention. It's thankfully being held overseas, so he'll be miles away from it.
Not that he won't probably still see it all over his social media feeds and in the news. After all, it's expected to be a star-studded event, he remembered Kaminari practically bragged about all the big name heroes that would be in attendance.

The day of the wedding, Izuku tells
Mei not to mention anything about Bakugou's wedding. He doesn't want to hear about it, he doesn't want to think about it. All he wants to do is focus on selling his gear and promoting his name. For a while, he's able to do just that, he's able to get quite a few investors and
even a few up and coming pro heroes who are wiling to invest in his stuff. It's a nice feeling and he's on cloud nine a the new lists of clients willing to work with him.

It's all nice and good until they get back to their hotel and it's time for him to unwind. Normally he'd hop
on MeTube to unwind with a few hero take down compilations, but considering this was such a high profile wedding, there's no way he'll get out of seeing the videos taken from the big day. So that's out of the question. His socials will be no better, his timeline flooded with
all sorts of well wishes and praise for thew newlywed couple.

But what Izuku doesn't know, is back in Japan it's complete chaos right now. The top trending tweet atop his timeline right now, is about Bakugou and Kaminari's wedding, however just not for the reason he suspects.
Showering unaware, Izuku faintly hears the door to the room close shut, but suspects it's just Mei. However, given his funky mood, he could be forgiven for taking a bit longer in the shower. When he finally comes out, he's feeling a bit more relaxed, dabbing at his hair with a
towel as he addresses Mei who he can feel staring at him from across the room.

"Hey, Mei, so sorry I took forever in the shower." Izuku started, "I just really needed that, but enough about me, how was the convention? You came back a lot earlier than I thought you would."
"Wouldn't know," a gruff voice that sounded /nothing/ like Mei's responded. "I didn't attend."

Izuku looks up, stunned to see Kacchan in his room.

/K-Kacchan...what? When? How?/

The blond snorts, "Even after all this time apart you still haven't stopped that muttering of yours
have you, Deku?"

Izuku can't help his flush, but then quickly comes back to reality, "Wait...where's Kaminari? Weren't you two getting married, or did you postpone it and come down here to beg me to come?"

Katsuki raises a single eyebrow, "Why the fuck would I invite you to a
wedding I didn't even want any part of in the first place?"

"W-What?"

"As for when and how, I talked to Dreads and booked the first flight out this morning."

"W-Wait...so you never even attended your own wedding?!" Izuku screeched, "Why would you do that?! Social media's going
to tear into you, you might even lose your ranking because you left Denki--"

"Who the fuck even cares?" Katsuki snaps back. "None of that shit means anything if you're not the one by my side!"

Izuku feels his heart flutter, but then gets sad again, "Then...why...why did you
date Kaminari? Why did you get engaged to him? Why would you do all that?"

"Why did you break up with me?" Katsuki counters, "Why didn't you give /us/ a chance instead of letting some extra get in your head and tear us apart?"

"I...I," Izuku sputters, "Kaminari showed me a
video--"

"That didn't even tell you the whole story." Katsuki grit out, "Did you even bother coming to confront me about it? Why didn't you ask for my side? Why did you take his side? Dunce Face doesn't know shit about me, but /you/ do. Yet, all it took was some shitty words and
a even shittier video to convince you that I wasn't good enough for you."

"N-NO! It's not that! It's more like I wasn't good enough for you." Izuku argued, "Kacchan...you're so amazing, so awesome--all I would've done is slowed you down."

"Seriously?!" Katsuki snaps, "I know
how amazing I am, I know how fucking awesome I am. I know there's no shortage of losers and extras who'd kill to be standing next to me. But I didn't want any of them. I wanted /you/. De--Izuku, there's nobody else on this shitty planet that I'd rather spend my life with."
"N-No..." Izuku says confused, voices of his lacking self-confidence rearing their ugly heads, "You're confused. Kacchan be real, there's so many better people out there for you--"

"But none of them are you, Izuku." Katsuki says softly. "None of them are as smart and witty, or
even as pretty as you."

"But what about Kaminari! He was gorgeous!"

"Pssht, there's nothing /cute/ about him. Izuku, stop this already, you know you love me. I could see it in your eyes when we visited auntie, you were practically damn near tears. But what I don't get is why
you didn't try? I would've happily have left Dunce Face to get back with you. I never wanted to be with him to begin with."

"Then why go out with him?" Izuku cried.

"We were never really "together" in the first place. He never had me to begin with. I just acted how you wanted
me to, Deku."

"But /why/? If you loved me why didn't you just come back?"

"At first I wanted to give you space, /you/ broke up with /me/ after all. Plus, why do I always have to take initiative for everything? If I'm the only one putting in work in our relationship we'll be
right back where we started when the next person aiming to be my 'one-and-only' comes along."

Izuku flinched, but knew he wasn't wrong. All this time he's been running away. Shutting everything out because he was scared of dragging Katsuki down.

"You aren't dragging me down,
Izuku." Katsuki says softly, standing up to hold Izuku in his arms. "You've been pushing me beyond what I ever thought capable. Remember, when I was first getting the hang of my quirk and I accidentally burned that girl in our first year of junior high? Everyone treated me like a
villain for weeks. But not you, you kept saying how awesome and amazing my quirk was. That I'd be a hero as great as All Might, you're the one who told me not to listen to any of them. It was then that I knew, there'd be nobody else for me but you."
Izuku sobbed, burying his face in Katsuki's neck.

"I'm sorry." He choked out, "I'm sorry for doubting you. For ruining us. I'm sorry I'm so weak."

"It's not your fault, you didn't have enough support in your corner. But from here on out, I'll be all the support you need."
In the days following the fallout from the wedding scandal, Katsuki does a press release when he and Deku return to Japan. Despite reports (mostly made by Kaminari himself to try and tank Katsuki's reputation) of Katsuki having an affair while they were together, Katsuki denies
such reports. He's quick to set the record straight on the matter.

"I will admit, I took sh--/things/ way too far by ditching Chargebolt at the altar. But I, in no way, ever cheated on him throughout the entirety of our relationship. Despite having no love for him, I would've
never have done anything to hurt him in such a way--it's just...I knew this entire relationship was a mistake. From the beginning, I knew he wasn't the one I loved. While Chargebolt is an indispensable ally to have on the field, in private, we just aren't compatible. I can only
hope that one day he'll find someone who can love him the way he deserves, but that person just isn't me."

After that, Katsuki makes a pitstop to Inko's apartment, where she unilaterially chews him out for leaving behind such a 'sweet and kind boy', to go running back to Deku.
She doesn't say it aloud, but Katsuki can hear the implying undertones of how she blames Izuku for everything that's gone bad in her life, and Katsuki quickly turns the tables on her. Chewing her out for how unsupportive she's been of her own child.

"You pushed all your shitty
martial issues on Deku just because your piece of shit husband ditched you for another woman. You're the one who married the piece of shit, not Deku."

With a little encouragement, Katsuki even pushes Deku to finally say what's been on his chest.

"You never supported me. Not
even /once/. No 'good job, Izuku', no 'well done, Izuku'. You always acted like everythign should've just been a given. As if I was expected to do good."

Of course, Inko isn't without wanting to fight back, "Well am I meant to handhold you your entire life?! I just wanted you to
see how the world really works towards people like you!"

"/'People like me'?!/" Deku screams at her, "I'm your goddamned son! I was never expecting you to coddle me and wipe my ass, but at least wanted you to treat me like you actually care for me. Instead, you've always made it
a point to tear me down! What kind of horrible mother does that to her own child?!"

"You have no idea what I went through when your father left us!"

"You're right, I don't! But what dad did to you should have no merit on how you raised me!"

"He left me /because/ of you!" Inko
screams back. "If I hadn't have had you, Hisashi wouldn't have left me! If I had a child with a decent quirk he would've stuck around!"

"Would he?" Deku counters in a cold voice, "Because from what I recall auntie telling me about him, dad always had a bit of a wandering eye, I
doubt even if I got a powerful quirk that was a combination of both your powers he would've stayed. Stop kidding yourself mom. I won't be like you. I'll /never/ be like you."

"Don't kid yourself, /son/." Inko spits, "Katsuki-kun's going to eventually leave you. If Kaminari's any
indication, he'll find someone better, more suitable for him and then you'll really be alone and when that happens, don't come crying to m--AH!"

𝙎𝙈𝘼𝘾𝙆!

Katsuki is just as stunned as Inko when Deku slaps her clear across the face.

Deku's breathing hard and the hand he
slapped her with is an angry red and shaking (Katsuki takes it into his own and kisses the palm gently), his voice is oddly serene and calm.

"While I'll always be grateful for you raising me all these years instead of just throwing me out, I will never forget the years of
neglect and emotional abuse I was subjected to while under your care. You're wrong about one thing, /mother/, I'm nothing like you. I've overcome my status as a quirkless nobody and made a name for myself. I've proven people wrong--and now, I've got someone who will always be by
my side through it all. You want to wallow in your misery and anger, be my guest, but I won't stick around for it."

With that, the two of them walk out, leaving behind a stunned Inko. When they get into the car, Katsuki is ready to praise Izuku for finally standing up to her,
only for him to break down before he can do it.

"I can't believe I did that!" He sobbed, "I can't believe I slapped my own mother! I'm a horrible person!"

"Shh, shh, Deku, don't cry. She honestly deserved it. Don't get mad at me for saying this, but she was a bitch for the way
she's treated you all this time. It's like you said, she's your mother, she's not meant to coddle you, but she can at least be supportive. It's not your fault she pushed all her issues onto you."

Deku cries a bit longer, before he finally calms down and they finally decide to
head to Katsuki's place. He sees Deku panic, but Katsuki promises that Dunce Face has no idea about this place.

However, when they get to the apartment, they're both surprised to see none other than Dunce Face standing there at the door. Katsuki immediately goes to cover Deku,
only for the boy in question to step forward with a fierce glare.

"What are you doing here, Kacchan wants nothing to do with you." Deku says boldly.

Dunce face glares at him, "Shut up." Then turns his watery gaze to Katsuki. "Kacchan, please, can we talk. We can fix this. I
promise I can be exactly what you want me to be."

"No." Katsuki says firmly, "Unless you can physically and mentally be Deku, there's no way that's happening."

Dunce face shakes as he points to Deku, "What's so good about a quirkless nobody like him?! I'm perfect for you! You
don't need someone who'll only hold you back!"

"What I don't need is someone telling me what I need." Katsuki says, "Nothing about you is 'perfect' for me. How do you know what I want? Can you read my mind? No you can't. You don't know what's good for me or what will make me
happy. I do. And Izuku Midoriya is what makes me happy."

"You'll regret this," Dunce Face snarled at him, "He'll only drag you down and when that happens, I'll be waiting. I'll be waiting to tell you I told you so."

"That's never going to happen." Deku said this time, "Because
Kacchan loves me and I love him and we're perfect for each other. You're just a stepping stone who helped us see that."

"I'm going to ruin you. I will make sure that nowhere is safe for you Midoriya. You'll never be able to show your face--"

"Try it and I won't stay quiet."
Katsuki warns, "I will ruin you just as hard if not harder. You forget Dunce Face, I've been with you long enough to air all your dirty laundry to the world. Don't piss me off."

"Why...couldn't you just love me?! Why couldn't you just try and make it work?! Everyone said we were
good for each other! We worked well with each other. Why can't you just see that we're..."

"You really are blind." Katsuki says, shaking his head. "You really aren't wiling to see what's right in front of you. I never /liked/ you. Never have, never will. You can't even hold a
candle to the flame I carry for Deku. You're nothing to me, Dunce Face. Now get lost."

Realizing his grand appeal won't work, the idiot finally takes a hint and gets lost--of course, not without one last promise.

"You'll see, Kacchan." Dunce Face says in a soft voice, looking
pleased, "He'll break down again and leave you because he's weak. I don't mind waiting a while. I'll wait as long as I need to. You'll be mine again soon enough."

"Don't waste your breath," Deku responds, intertwining their hands together. "Because I won't ever give up Kacchan.
Not to you, not to anyone else. Ever again."

Dunce Face leaves with one last snarl of frustration and the two of them are finally alone once more.

"I'm gonna have to report that bastard--maybe even put in for a transfer," Katsuki sighs, "I don't want to work with /that/ for the
rest of my career."

Deku smiles up at him, leaning up to kiss at Katsuki's chin, "Whatever decision you make, I will back you 100%. This time I will fight hard for us."

"Heh, took you long enough, nerd." Katsuki grins, leaning down to kiss Izuku. "But trust me, I'll definitely
fight harder."

"Is that a challenge?"

"Maybe it is."

//Omake//

(The day of the wedding)

"You traitorous bitch!" Denki screamed as he smacked Mina harshly across the face. "You helped all of this come together, just so you could watch my fiancé /leave/? You just
let him hop on a plane and continued to act like nothing was wrong?!"

Ashido held her stinging cheek, glaring back at the sobbing blond who was being held in Sero's arms. "I was doing the right thing. Bakugou was miserable with you. All of us could see it--but we too pathetic
to admit it."

It's been a little over an hour since wedding guests had left and the wedding had been called off. Denki was still at the altar in his white tux waiting for a man that Ashido and Sero knew would never be coming.

In the end, Ashido confessed to her part in going
to Katsuki's place and telling him to call off the wedding. Only to be stunned to find out that not only had he had no plans of actually marrying Denki, but that he was also leaving town. He also confirmed her suspicions of never having feelings for Denki once.
"You're lying!" Denki screams, "He loved me!"

"No he didn't!" Ashido screams back, "He hated you! Why do you think in all the years you two have been together--even after graduating Bakugou never once moved in with you! Why do you think he kept taking late night patrols?! Why
do you think he wanted to put in a transfer to a different agency?! He wanted to get away from you! He never liked you and even told me as much when I went to see him last night! He already even had his bags packed and everything, he was never going to marry you in the first
place! Why would he?! You're selfish and cruel, you never take into account anyone else's feelings!"

"Don't play savior now! You're only angry because Ei left your sorry ass for Todoroki!"

"He only left me because of you! Because instead of thinking for myself, I catered to
you! Well not anymore! You got what you deserved, Kami!"

Ashido stormed out of the dressing room in a huff, and the two other men were left alone. Kaminari was in denial, shaking his head over and over, unwilling to believe that Bakugou was leaving him.

"No. No. He loves me."
Denki rushed out, then looks to Sero with big pleading eyes, "He loves me right, Hanta? You always tell me how much he loves me."

Sero feels his heart breaking, all those nights they spent together and all Denki's focus is still solely on Bakugou. As if Sero didn't even exist.
"Denks...face facts, I don't think Blasty's com--"

"NO!" Kaminari shrieks shoving Sero away, "He said he'd marry me! We were going to be a hero duo together--we were going to start a family! I refuse to lose to a quirkless nobody! I'm better! I'm perfect! I'm beautiful!
Who wouldn't want me?!"

Sero scrambled to appease him, "/I/ want you, Denks. I love you so much. If you'd just--"

"Who cares about your love, Hanta?!" Kaminari snaps at him. "I don't love you! You were only good for helping me relieve all the pent up sexual frustration I was
feeling because Kacchan was too shy. But once we get married, that stops. I don't want to see you again! Get out!"

"Denki..."

"No! Go away!" the blond screams, "I won't have my perfect day ruined by rumors of me sleeping around! Go away, I'm waiting for Kacchan!"
Sero wanted to cry, but instead he merely glared at him.

"Fine." He spits. "When he turns you away--which we all know he will--I won't be here for you to cry on my shoulder. What happens from here on out is none of my business. Have a nice life, Kaminari."
With that, Denki's last link to possibly salvaging a happy life storms out of the room. Leaving him all alone for good.

Denki decides to wait it out--even tries dialing Katsuki's number only to be told the number is no longer in service. Denki rages harder, panics even harder.
"Kacchan! Kacchan why aren't you here?!" he wails. "Why would you leave me here all alone?!"

In the quiet of the chapel, Denki can only break down crying harder as he realizes that he could well and truly be alone if Katsuki turns him away.

Katsuki had told him that his ex-wife, Camie, meant nothing to him anymore. That he cut her out of his life because she was a cheater and evil manipulator. Yet...this photo, these mean spirited texts from his son speak otherwise.
Izuku felt tears collect in his eyes, felt his entire body shake in his seat. So this is why he'd been waiting here alone, for nearly two hours now waiting for a man who'd never come.

Izuku had just finished stocking his mother's bakery for the night when the door to the shop abruptly opened. Izuku
groaned under his breath, grumbling about how people refuse to read signs anymore. He stomps to the phone, briefly distracted by a rushed text sent by his friend.

His boyfriend simply shrugs, “Yeah, but so did Denki. Plus, I won’t lie, I like the way he
