First, he explained to me how when I was out running the streets, What I really needed was someone to provide “harm reduction techniques” to help me.
I thanked him for reinventing MY life experience & explained that all I needed was what I got~@ACSOSheriffs gracious offer of jail/treatment.
Dude,(NOT in recovery) I woulda grabbed that pipe and appeased you all day as long as I could get high and you where providing the tools
I explained my daughter’s struggles out on the streets of #SanFrancisco and asked how this person would feel if they handed my kid some foil and she used that to smoke #fentanyl and OD’ed.
“I didn’t buy the drugs” said harm reductionist 🤬
The next words that came out of this mouth are 🤯
“If my daughter was sucking some guys d!ck for crack, I would use harm reduction techniques and not shame her”
FYI~ I DON’T SHAME MY DAUGHTER ASSH@LE
BUT……
My reply to my Director of Harm Reduction:
“My technique would be to take a baseball bat to the guys head and drag her ass home”.
I guess we have different parenting styles 🤷♀️
The Radical Harm Reduction being used in #SanFrancisco is not changing the devastation and death on the streets.
At what point do we start recognizing that helping someone MAINTAIN their destructive behavior is NOT OK?
SAN FRANCISCO ~ YOU ARE IN REAL CRISIS.
ACT LIKE IT!
FYI SF ~ I’m Pretty sure your tax dollars pay this Director. And pay for the foil, pipes, straws and “connections”.
STAND UP! SPEAK OUT! ASK QUESTIONS!
DEMAND MEASURABLE OUTCOMES FROM THESE PROGRAMS!
Oh….one last thing:
I asked if they would stand WITH us and call for an end to the OPEN DRUG MARKET
Nope…The dealers are “marginalized” and if you arrest one another will just fill that place.
And of course…that war on drugs thing. 🙄
