Katsuki grew up in a traditional family, his parents being an Alpha and an Omega. So he was very reluctant to date beta Izuku at first but they eventually work things out.

It took some time but he was finally able to shift his perspective. For a while.
Upon reaching the age of 28, ten years into his relationship with Izuku, the alpha's eyes began to wander.

And not in the seedy, infidel sort of way. No, not at all. His entire heart belongs to Izuku so god forbid he'd even spare someone else a meaningful glance.

It was a sad
longing type of look, Izuku noted.

The beta first noticed it when they were out for one of their weekly dates. He had just gone back from the restroom, intending to call out to Katsuki when he saw the other looking at something intently.

Immediately, his eyes tried to locate
the receiving end of his boyfriend's undivided attention. Then he sees it.

A beautiful omega that had been tearing pieces of bread and tossing it to the ducks.

Something in Izuku's stomach twisted at the sight.

Sure, he had been unreasonably jealous in the past. But he knew
this time was warranted.

/Was Katsuki bored of him? Was he not enough anymore? Did he still love him?/

The voices in his head we're getting louder and louder, years and years of insecurity finally rearing it's ugly head. But then it suddenly stopped.

Izuku watched as his
boyfriend's eyes shifted down to the noticeable bump on the pretty omega. Watched as his eyes softened a little when the unsuspecting lady gently cradled her pregnant belly-- broke as he realized what his alpha wanted but could never give.

Before he could spiral further into
his thoughts, however, Katsuki seemed to have finally snapped out of his stupor, immediately looking at the beta's direction.

Years of being with the blonde allowed Izuku to catch the flash of guilt on his alpha's eyes before his usual carefree smile (one that the greenette had
watched evolve and soften throughout the years) was directed at him. Suddenly, all was good again.

Why did he even react like that? Maybe he was just blowing things out of proportion.

Surely, Kacchan will tell him about something as important as having a pup-- a family. Right?
✂️✂️✂️
Unfortunately, it did seem to be a pervading issue.

It has been a couple of weeks and the greenette, much to his dismay, had become hyper-aware of Katsuki's bouts of spacing out.

It happened whenever they pass by an alpha/omega family that had little versions of the pair
running around. Izuku also caught him absentmindedly following pregnant omegas with his eyes although the blonde tried to be discrete about it.

Every single time it happened chipped away at Izuku's dwindling confidence. He actually couldn't believe that the wall they had been
building together for years (yes, Katsuki greatly helped with fortifying it with his constant assurances) was starting to tear and crumble a decade into their relationship.

This sparked a fear in Izuku. Remembering all the earlier times in their relationship when Katsuki was
implying that they might have to break it off. But Izuku was steadfast, and although he made it clear to Katsuki that he can exit the relationship when he truly doesn't see a point in it, Izuku did his best to prove that regardless of his second gender, he was enough for Kacchan.
And he thought he did a good job at that. But he couldn't even deny that he was lacking something essential when Katsuki excuse himself.

They had just finished making love, the smell of their combined scents still lingering in the air. Katsuki usually stayed to cuddle for
a while but Izuku could sense that /it/ was still plaguing the blonde's mind. He /heard/ it somewhere in the middle of being entwined under the sheets. It rang loud and clear to Izuku's ears even though it was but a desperate whisper from the blonde's lips.

”Get pregnant please”
Even though his alpha only stepped out to their terrace a couple of feet away, it felt like the rift between them was already the size of an ocean.

And he couldn't do anything about it. Just laying by his side and drifting off to a sleep without the comfort of arms around him.
✂️✂️✂️
Around the third month of the brewing storm between them, Izuku finally gained enough confidence and clarity to approach the subject.

Why it took him this long to simply come up with the solution and /talk/ was beyond him, but the greenette sure as hell was going to confront
the blonde. Even if there was a nagging feeling at the back of his mind. Even if there was a chance that everything he loves could be taken away from him.

Armed with nothing but his heart on his sleeve and a couple of well thought out statements in his mind, he marched off to
the alpha's study. He could hear indistinct voices from within the room, words getting clearer as he approached the door.

His hand was already halfway through turning the doorknob when he heard the question that made him freeze.

/Why haven't you proposed yet?/ asked a voice.
Inching closer to the door, Izuku was able to tell that it was Mitsuki on the other side of the call.

He could hear the irritated grunt that was very distinctly Katsuki before the blonde answered.

"I want to," the alpha starts, slightly pulling at his hair in frustration.
"I really really want to, Mom," and Izuku was already getting teary eyed by the hesitation that will surely follow.

And he was right.

"...But I'm not sure yet," Katsuki revealed in his own shaky voice, like he was in utter disbelief by the words coming out of his own mouth.
At that point, the rational part of Izuku was already screaming at him, begging him to turn back and walk away for the sake of his own sanity. But the cruel, curious part of him wanted to hear more. More of the truth that will eventually break him down to irreparable pieces.
So he stayed. Long enough to hear the words that hit the nail on the coffin of their slowly decaying love.

"I'm not getting any younger and I just recently realized that I wanted a family of my own. I want a little fucker, my own flesh and blood, to run around and annoy the
hell out of me," the blonde says with a strangely despondent chuckle, as if already envisioning that future.

Izuku couldn't recall any other time when he hoped and prayed hard for something. To be part of that vision. But Katsuki was quick to shatter that hope with his words.
"And Izuku... can't give that to me, Ma," the blonde said, slowly breaking down into tears, gripping at his phone as if seeking the comfort of his mother through the screen.

He could faintly hear Mitsuki cooing at the alpha as Izuku listlessly walked back to their shared room.
The greenette stared at his hand, trying to see if it would close and open at his will. Surprisingly, it did. He was pretty sure he was numb right now. But it must have been all in his head.

Much like the comfort and security and love that he has felt, /experienced/, throughout
the years.

All of it was some elaborate illusion conjured up by his sad and delusional self.

He felt like an idiot for devoting all of those years of his life into something that was doomed to end in the first place.

"Fuck..." the greenette curses under his breath, gripping
at a handful of his shirt, trying desperately to reach the heart behind it that has been beating dangerously fast. He wanted to it to stop. He wanted all of it to go away.

And for a moment he thought about how easy it was for that to happen.

But even then he was a coward.
Slowly, he slid against the white walls, sinking further and further into his dark, consuming thoughts.

The voices were way louder now. Became much more discernable to the point that he could hear the people behind them.

"Izuku, as much as I love you for my son. I know he wants
something that you might not have," said Mitsuki.

"Really?! We always thought Bakugo was going to have an omega. You know, since he's such a catch for an alpha and all!" exclaimed Katsuki's friends.

"Are you really sure about this, Izuku? I know you love him with all you have
But I can't stand the thought of my baby getting hurt," his own mom expressed with so much concern.

But Izuku had turned a blind eye to all of them. Even lashing out at Inko who wanted nothing more than securing her own son's happiness.

Because that's what love does to you.
It turns you into a complete fucking idiot. Basically discards your self preservation skills, leaving you with absolutely no regard for your own wellbeing.

And now he has a failing relationship. No mother to give him the same reassurance all those years ago. No support to ground
him from the unbelievable hurt he was subjected to.

/It hurts. It hurts. It hurts./

The greenette belatedly realized that he had been beating at his own stomach. Throwing bruising punches at a womb that he so desperately wished was there.

But it wasn't and it never will be.
And when he had calmed down hours later from the silent agony, he had become too tired to lift a finger.

Using his last bit of strength, he crawled to the king sized bed. Staring blankly at its vast emptiness before laying down on the soft sheets.

He had no tears left to cry.
But his mind has cleared from all the hours of wallowing in despair.

He already knew what to do come morning.

Izuku closed his tired eyes, finally feeling the pull of sleep after all these months. Just a few minutes after, he was dead to the world. Dreaming of ruby red eyes.
✂️✂️✂️
Katsuki had been worried when he finally decided to join Izuku in bed. The redness under his eyes had been a clear indication that he was crying.

Admittedly, he had been to out of it for the past few weeks to know what it may have been about. But he decides that he'd get to the
bottom of it tomorrow as he kissed Izuku's freckled cheek goodnight.

Only, when morning came, he surprisingly woke up to an empty bed.

Katsuki had thought that it was merely one of those rare days when the greenette miraculously woke up earlier than him. But then he began to
notice the emptiness.

The beta's stuff that were usually strewn about were absent. In his panic, Katsuki had slammed the door open to every room in the house for any trace of the beta but his search was futile.

Izuku was gone and he had taken all traces of himself with him.

END OF PART I

(TBC)

I need to sleep for work but I hope y'all are enjoying this so far. I actually just started writing randomly and ended up with this hahaha. Let me know what you think! I'll definitely pick this up once I have time later/tomorrow! 🙂

✂️✂️✂️

✨ I'm back for the second part ✨

✂️✂️✂️
It has been seven years since Izuku left.

To say that Katsuki was devastated would be a gross understatement of what the alpha had gone through.

Just a week into his search for Izuku, there was already an obvious decline to his health. He barely slept, couldn't stomach food.
The blonde alpha spent every living second to scour the ends of the country for any trace of the love of his life. But it became very evident that the beta had no intention of being found when days turned into weeks, then into months and eventually into years.

By the third year,
Katsuki was merely a husk if his former self. Wallowing in despair and drinking his days away.

During these times, he would feel the most clueless and conflicted.

There were days when he'd lock himself up in his shared room with Izuku, clutching a silly shirt that the greenette
forgot in his haste to leave. He'd lay down on the unmade bed, observing the broken pieces of frames and furniture all over the floor. Huh. Must have been from when he thrashed the place the moment the piece of clothing stopped smelling like his lost love.

Some days he's angry.
At Izuku for leaving him battered and broken without so much as a word. He doesn't give a shit if the beta didn't know that he was his entire world. He knows he may have lacked in establishing that fact, but hell Izuku fucking left. And for that, Katsuki will never forgive him.
At least, that's what he'd convinced himself with for that day. Because most often than not, when his alphan pride doesn't take over his thoughts, the brunt of his anger was on himself.

People, both dear to him and stupid extras, have always described him as insensitive and
dense to a fault. But contrary to that, he was actually quite perceptive.

So he knew.

He knew how his friends' constant questioning of his choice of mate wore Izuku down. He knew how his own mother had tried to reason out with Izuku, desperately trying to drag him out of the
clutches of, according to her, "ten pointless years" together. He knew how Inko, rest her soul, warned her beta son several times that he might end up like her.

Discarded and abandoned by the love of her life because of being the "unideal kind", the "useless gender."

And for
years he had tried to show Izuku that that wasn't the case. Until he didn't.

He knew how he started to distance himself when he had an epiphany of sorts. He wanted a family and he wanted it as soon as possible.

For years, he had dreamt of having a child with the person that he
loved, his mom wouldn't shut up about how five year old Katsuki went on and on about finding the perfect omega, mating them and having babies that were "as awesome as him."

"What if you find someone who can't give you babies as awesome as you?" Mitsuki asked out of curiosity.
"Then I'll just find someone else!" the young child said carelessly.

/What a dumb brat/, Katsuki thinks later on.

If only it were as easy as that then he would have nipped his feelings for the greenette at the bud the moment he felt electrified when their eyes first met.
The alpha could have ignored how his heart soared at the beta's mere glance and subtle smiles. He could have shut the smaller male down when he bashfully confessed his feelings to the brazen alpha, not expecting it to be reciprocated at all.

But he did. And he never regretted
it one bit.

Expect for maybe during these times when he's barely hanging by a thread. When he has lost all the will to live because there's only an empty hole in his chest and he didn't know where his heart was.

When his mother is crying desperately infront of him, begging and
pleading her son to at least try to live normally even for a single day.

"Just this once. Please bring my baby back to me," Mitsuki cried out, hands prying at her son's unwashed shirt. Somehow, he still felt a slight sting when he saw her cry. After all, he was still her mom
and Katsuki always treasured his family. That's one of the reasons why he found himself waist deep in this shitty situation after all.

"Alright," he relents, slowly picking her up from where she had fallen to the ground.

Not even an hour later, his self proclaimed squad were
already knocking incessantly at his door. Ready to drag him around town and show him all the new sights. Fill him in on the events that he had been missing out on.

Turns out, Kirishima and Mina were already married. It completely slipped his mind when he refused the invitation
to be the best man. Denki was also in a serious relationship with some guy he met at a bar. And Sero was just living his best life and travelling.

He was thankful for the forgiving company. How they acted like he never skipped a day of their get togethers. Turned a blind eye
to the past three years of his absence. It felt good. Felt normal.

But he knew sooner or later, when he's in the darkness of his own home-- one that he used to share with Izuku-- he'd be back to step one.

So, much to the others' charging, they went to their local club to get
some drinks.

The noisy environment was good for Katsuki. The thrum of the bass made him feel alive. Throngs of sweaty people talking and whispering and having fun did great in drowning out the voices in his head. Everything seems so perfect at the moment.

So why is it that
after him and the others have sat comfortably at a booth, did he start seeing dark green curls and bewitching eyes?

Why is he reminded of him now? Why was the distraction not working?

Maybe if he drank more?

So he downed and downed and downed shots left and right. His friends
thought that he had just been eager to make up for lost time and fun, even getting excited at the notion of their friend letting loose.

Really, Katsuki wanted to take all the liquid courage he could get before making his way across the room and pulling the green haired stranger
close to his chest. Kirishima and the others have hollered and whooped at the sight, too inebriated to realize the mistake that was about to occur when Katsuki was led by the stranger outside and away from their sight.

Next thing Katsuki knew, he woke up stark naked with a
pounding headache and a parched throat. He tried to feel around at the bed, trying to locate his phone to check on the time but when his hand landed on something /someone/, he quickly flinched back.

To his surprise, the woman was already wide awake.

"W-what happened?" the blond
asked, horrified.

The girl, who he later found out was called Setsuna, merely gave him a sly smile. Slowly inching her slender fingers towards him and tracing down his exposed torso. It made the alpha shiver in disgust.

"I think you can figure it out yourself," she clicked her
tongue when the handsome blonde only moved further away from her.

/How could he do this?/ he thought as he frantically picked up his clothes that have been thrown carelessly to the floor the night prior.

Katsuki could sense the judging stare from the omega seated on the bed.
He wanted to throw up.

The alpha directed a panicked look at the woman who was now casually lying down, still naked. The greenette woman got the message and pointed to the door across the room.

Katsuki was quick on his feet, purging the bitter alcohol that had remained in his
system. His eyes were burning, tearing up. From the putrid acid he's spilling? From the bad decision that could have possibly changed his life forever? He's not sure.

All he knew was that he had to get out of there. So that's exactly what he did.

He ran and he ran, unsure how
he made it back to the safe haven of his /their/ home.

But what he just did kept on replaying inside his head, eating him up and consuming him in overwhelming guilt.

"I'm so fucking sorry, Izuku. Fuck, I'm so fucking sorry," he repeated and repeated until he lost consciousness.
It really shouldn't be a surprise that he kept to himself more after that.

Fuck, it's like he couldn't even function like a proper human being without Izuku.

He chuckled to himself, chucking another empty beer can to the growing pile.

It's almost been a year since that shit
happened and he still couldn't forgive himself for what he did.

At this point, he had completely shut off all of his friends, harshly telling them to fuck off when they came crawling at his door step to say sorry.

But what's done is done and they could not take back the fact
that they were shitty people for letting him get to that point. He never answered any of his mother's calls since too.

At that moment, on the fourth year of Izuku's absence, Katsuki was truly at his lowest.

Then his bell rang which he ignored, as usual. But then he heard a cry.
It wasn't the occasional heart wrenching sobs from his mother. Nor was it one of his dumbass friends trying to make amends for their mistake.

No, it was shrill and utterly helpless. The alpha quickly ran to his door, eyes widening at the basket on his doorstep.

It was a baby.
Slowly, he crouched down infront of the teary infant, shakily flipping the piece of paper that seemed to have been haphazardly left on the little bundle's torso.

/She's yours/

Was all that it said.

And for a few minutes, he was just frozen in disbelief infront of his daughter.
That was how, at the age of 32-- 4 years into the process of still grieving the disappearance of the love of his life -- Bakugo Katsuki finally became a father of a beautiful baby girl with dark green tresses and sharp red eyes.

That's how Izuki Bakugo came into this world.

✨ Part III (Scene I) passing through ✨

✂️✂️✂️
Izuku couldn't help but giggle at the bickering blondes near the foot of his bed.

Mahoro nudges her twin forward, gesturing to the greenette who kept as still as he could, pretending that he was still asleep.

"Come on, you cry baby. If you don't wake mama up, we'll be late!"
the little alpha exclaims while shoving her favourite stuffed toy into her little pouch.

The omega boy pouts, eyes watering a little at his older twin's insult.

"I'm not a cry baby," he sniffles before crawling up beside their dam, careful not to hit his mama with his sling bag
that swung back and forth as he neared Izuku.

The older omega sneaked a peek, held back a snicker, and went in for the kill when Katsuma poked at his freckled cheek.

"I got you!" Izuku exclaims, caging his little boy between his arms before blowing raspberries into his stomach.
"Unfair!" Mahoro shouts before squeezing herself between the tangle of limbs.

After a very eventful tickle fight, all of them dissolved into giggles.

What a peaceful start to his day.

Mahoro shrieks into Izuku's ear when her tiny wristwatch started to beep.

"We're late!"
And just like that, the three Ishizakis were breezing through their morning routine. It was a special day at preschool after all. Show and Tell about your family!

Izuku had become so tired for the past few months with work and moving. He still couldn't believe that it's
been three months since he came back to Musutafu.

Seven years really didn't do much to the place.

That was all he could ever think about while he saw familiar places that blurred into colours as the car zoomed by them. It didn't help that his eyes began to water, the park and
the old establishments. Heck, even the cracked sidewalks all bring back memories of the past that he would rather kept locked away.

That's right.

He fondly looks at the bickering pair of three year olds from the rearview mirror and smiles.

He'd rather live in the present.
Izuku couldn't help but smile at Mahoro as she excitedly tells Izuku about her and Katsuma's new friend. No, /best/ friend.

To his surprise, the usually timid boy shouted an affirmative and excitedly joined the conversation.

"She's great mama! But..." the little omega's eyes
start to water, "our other classmates don't like her cause she's a beta," Katsuma sniffles.

Izuku's heart breaks at that. Even after the efforts that him and his organization has put in all these years, the discrimination against betas was still there. While not as rampant as it
once was, Izuku was well aware that there were still supremacist groups that would stop at nothing to "rid the world of the second gender impurities."

He knew that too damn well...

Steely grey eyes flash at the back of Izuku's mind before he shakes it away, refocusing his
attention on finding a parking spot while also releasing calming pheromones to pacify little Katsuma.

"To hell with them!" Mahoro exclaims while furiously rubbing the tears off her younger twin's face.

Izuku lets out a gasps and a stern "Language!" but he couldn't be prouder.
She got her father's fighting spirit.

"Besides, she's really really kind! She looks kinda like you, Mama!" the alpha twin states while impatiently rocking back and forth in her seat as their car slowly comes to a stop at a spot near the school's entrance.

He looks at his watch.
Fifteen minutes late.

Wouldn't exactly make for the best first impression to the other parents and teachers.

The greenette sighs before shutting the engine, makes quick work of his seatbelt and grabbing his babies from the backseat.

He spares the time to look at the photo of
him and the smiling blonde on the dashboard, uttering a silent prayer before booking it to the entrance with Katsuma in his arms and Mahoro, who insisted on walking cause she's a big girl now, trying to keep up with her tiny legs.

By the time they were at the room's door, there
was already a student presenting in front.

The greenette tried to be discrete with their entrance, even going so far as crouching down to make the twins as inconspicuous as possible. But Mahoro, bless her excitable heart, squeals in delight as she waved her arms frantically at
the tiny greenette at the front of the room.

"Go, Zuki-chan!" she cheers, drawing all the attention to the late trio.

Izuku lets out a nervous chuckle, refusing to look around the room and opting to find the nearest open seats with his head down.

To his relief, the other
parents and teachers seemed to find the interaction adorable, hearing collective laughs and giggles from all sides of the room.

"Sorry about that!" Izuku shout whispers before he was reassured by the teacher that they were just beginning.

"Please continue, Izuki," the kind old
omega teacher, who later introduced herself as Chiyo, gently prompted the nervous green-haired girl.

With a gentle pat to the head from her dad standing by her side, the young beta calms down.

"I'm Bakugo Izuki!" the child squeaks out.

"And I'm her father," a familiar voice
calmly states that immediately caught Izuku's attention, heart hammering against his chest.

/God, please don't do this to me/

He could feel a set of eyes boring holes into him.

The greenette takes in deep breathes, trying to calm down as he quietly gathers the courage to look.
Izuku could hear the blood circulating in his veins, feeling a little lightheaded at the incessant beating in his chest.

Determined ruby red eyes finally meet panicked viridian ones.

"Bakugo Katsuki, it's a pleasure to meet all of you," the blonde utters, almost breathlessly.

Part III (Scene I) End

I'll see if I can still update within the day later. The next scene will be Izuku's story, finally. Just wanted to share the update to work on the next part. For now, I'll let you guys speculate.

I'll link the start here for this who have yet to start :)
Also, I'd like to share this tidbit of information. Thanks to @blunt_tvvth for bringing it up. Beta are the minority in this AU. The breakdown is as follows: Image
✂️✂️✂️

Part III (Scene 2)

✂️✂️✂️
It was difficult to focus with the whispers that were once again lingering and intruding in his mind. It's been awhile since they made an appearance and Izuku had to hold on to something to ground himself.

Before he could blindly reach out for a solid surface to grip, he felt
something /someone/ move into the the space between his tense body and the table, putting a good weight on his lap.

When the fog in his head clears up a little, he could see his dear baby, Katsuma, giving him a precious smile that could instantly light up a room.

It did him
wonders, his omega preening at the sight of his happy pup. He could almost cry from the amount of relief and peace this tiny existence brought him.

Gently, he reached out to Mahoro too, gently prompting her to sit on his other thigh before burying his face between the twins,
earning him a sweet giggle from the duo. Their combined scents of chamomile, sweet vanilla and a hint of the sea (a distinct smell they got from their sire) permeated the greenette's senses.

And soon enough he had calmed down significantly so he didn't have to strain his ears
to tune in to the conversation going on. Right, the show and tell was still in full swing and the Bakugos were the ones on the makeshift stage.

It seems like they were already finishing up, the older omega having missed most of the story that only piqued his curiosity, to his
dismay.

"So, yeah! Daddy said I was a delivery from heaven!" the young beta shares, giddy as she ends her presentation.

"But where's your mama?" one of her classmates asks, before being shushed by her parent.

But the damage was done and young Izuki's smile drops. She looks up
at her dad, feeling helpless. She already feels tears forming, maybe this is another thing that her bullies will hurt her for. A motherless beta.

Katsuki directs a reassuring smile at her, making sure to mask the pain for his baby girl before stepping in.

"Izuki's mommy is not
in the picture," the blonde alpha starts, picking up his daughter and booping her nose before looking back at the silent audience.

"But she is my little miracle. All that's important is that she's my hero. She saved my life," he tries to steady his voice, remembering the
turning point in his life years ago when he decided to clean his act up.

For his daughter. For his family.

"And she reminds me that I have a lot of love to offer," his calloused hands carded through her green tresses, "and that I have a reason to live," he ends confidently
while looking all the way at the back of the class, straight into Izuku's widened eyes.

"That's all," the alpha says with finality, his pup now smiling widely as their classmates clap.

She's a hero like superman! the children thought. The parents, on the other hand, were still
strangely quiet, murmuring among themselves as the Bakugos go back to their designated seats.

All the while, Izuku was frozen in his. Mind running a mile a minute with the newfound information. It may not have been too telling, with the details vague enough to be misinterpreted
but years with the blonde alpha made Izuku aware. Hurt and conviction and, much to his surprise, longing swirling in those eyes and evident in his words.

"You're up, Mahoro and Katsuma," Chiyo prompts the twins to go to the front, their dam putting them down before trailing
after them. He almost lost his footing when his children took a sharp turn, running to the Bakugo daughter to give her a high five. It brings a smile to his face but he still refuses to look at the girl's father who was staring intensely at them.

Soon enough, all three were now
on top of the platform, with both Izuku and Katsuma blushing a little bit from the attention on them, while Mahoro basks at the eyes on them, ready to listen to their story.

"I'm Ishizaki Mahoro!" the little firecracker exclaims, pointing at her little brother. "And this is my
brother!" And then gestured towards Izuku. "And this is my Mama!"

The other parents laugh fondly at the brash little alpha. Their teacher lightly scolded Mahoro, gently reminding the pouting girl to let her family members introduce themselves.

Izuku lets out a giggle, oblivious
to the fact that the sound poked and prodded at Katsuki's beating heart. He's still beautiful after all these years, the alpha thought.

But there was also a glaring fact that Katsuki couldn't quite ignore. Questions of who, what, where and, most of all, /how?/ were flooding his
brain.

From the reinforced sweet scent wafting from the greenette, he couldn't be mistaken.

Izuku was an omega and those were his biological pups.

There was only one implication there and the answer was slowly constricting Katsuki's windpipes.

If his hunch is right then...
"I'm Ishizaki Katsuma," the omega boy said after some encouragement from his dam. Izuku ruffles his hair affectionately before speaking.

"I'm Ishizaki Izuku. It's nice to meet all of you!" he bows before signalling his pups to start.

"Before you ask where our Papa is," Mahoro
warns, giving a pointed glare to her classmate who made her friend cry a while ago, "I'm gonna tell you!"

"His name is Ishizaki Akio!" the young alpha starts.

And upon hearing the name, Izuku's entire surrounding suddenly warbled. Like he's submerged under water.

He remembers.

Ishizaki Akio is my chosen name for the Second User.

Surprise!

That's all for today!

Should break the thread? Twitter was taking a while in sending the tweets and I thought that all my progress will be gone. I'll see to it later.

Anyway, next part is definitely Izuku's flashback. It's a little heavy. Buckle up!

For now, back to the top.
Sorry for cutting it short today, gotta attend to something. Again, feel free to let me know what you think so far. Any theories? Story is more or less done inside my head so the trajectory won't change but I'm interested to see what y'all think happened to him 🤔

See you soon!
In his 35 years of existence, Ishizaki Izuku only ever fell in love twice.

While the first one had grown and then wilted throughout a third of his lifetime.

The second one...

Was a whirlwind of emotion and events that had left him breathless, broken, and stronger altogether.
✨Flashback starting from now✨

Midoriya Izuku had nowhere to go.

He knew how risky and, truthfully speaking, dumb his decision was to just simply up and leave.

But he just couldn't take it anymore. Another hurtful word and he might have done something even more regrettable.
For years, he powered through the hurtful comments and the judging stares. He was proud of the how much his love had grown for Katsuki despite all the doubts and prying eyes.

But to hear those from Katsuki himself.

/But I'm not sure yet.../

After ten fucking years of pain.
/Izuku can't give that to me.../

That was the last straw. Izuku finally broke.

So, with the surpringly few belongings that he had around the apartment /it wasn't in his nature to collect and hoard and nest after all, he thought bitterly/ he decided to go as far as his feet
would take him.

It took a lot to beat the shame he was feeling when omegas and alphas sneered at his lone form and his fellow betas looked curious /pitying, almost/.

He got kicked out by his "pair". He knows that's what they were thinking and the greenette wanted to drop his
things and lash out. Yell from the top of his lungs that it was his choice to leave. That he isn't some distressed beta who got booted out of his own home when his partner realized that we wasn't enough. He wants to scream that he isn't part of that cliché narrative.

But, is he?
Didn't Kacchan say that he didn't want to marry /mate/ him after almost a decade together? Didn't he say it with his own words that Izuku wasn't /will never be/ enough?

For a moment, Izuku contemplated if he should just lie on the side of the road and waste away. He didn't have
his mother anymore and all of his friends are also Katsuki's. And he couldn't. He just couldn't stomach anything that would remind him of the blond alpha.

He wanted a clean slate.

Good thing he had a little amount saved up from when he used to work almost a half a decade ago.
Katsuki asked him if he could just stay at home.

"It's for your safety, Izuku," and it was true. Katsuki was a lawyer, involved in politics and governance. Basically had a target painted behind his and his loved ones' backs for getting cases that were always sensationalised.
Izuku used to be a doctor. Perhaps the only reason why he wasn't completely shut out by the people in Katsuki's sphere. After all, there was just a handful of betas that were smart (had enough means) to get into the field of medicine.

"Okay, Kacchan. For you, I will."

But he
gave it up so easily. It was a no brainer then. But he realized how stupid it was now.

At least his degree makes him well aware of his body's limitations. And after months of staying in shoddy hotels and eating the barest amount, the beta knew that he had to find some form of
source of income.

The last few yen he had were spent at an internet café where he researched for hours, jotting down notes and directions on his trusty notebook before putting down his pen and deleting all the history once he was done.

He knew what he had to do. Where to go.
Izuku went on his merry way, hitchhiking to his destination to save some cash. Thankfully, even in a prejudiced world, there were still a handful of kind people who gladly took him from stop to stop.

After three days of catching rides and over a day of walking through mud, he
finally reached the secluded area stated in the forum.

One For All. A hidden haven for male betas, the most discriminated second gender. While there were almost an equal amount of male and female betas in the population, the lack of reproductive capabilities of the males became
a target to their head. They were seen as basically useless. No good except for "interfering with nature" and going against god's will.

They were anomalies unnecessarily taking up air. Weak individuals who were born at the bottom of society and should stay in their places. Such
was the usual fate of male betas. Izuku would sometimes thank the heavens for at least being born from a decent family with enough money to fund his dreams and to maintain even an ounce of respect from those around him.

But now he was alone. His father disappeared when Inko died
and he was a jobless beta with an emptied out bank account. Being a beta doctor really didn't pay that much after all, regardless if he saved many lives in his career.

The run down establishment infront of him was his only chance at survival.

It had been four days since he has
gotten anything to eat, only living by his rationed water. Izuku's vision was starting to spin, his breathing unsteady as he shakily made his way towards the rusting doors.
He was desperately hoping that he had put enough force on his knock for someone to hear it, vision blurring
as the doors swung wide open and was face to face with an eerily familiar person.

Platinum blonde hair and a chiseled jaw made the pain in his stomach intensify. But the strong scent of the sea and the grey eyes looking down at him were unfamiliar. Still, he couldn't help but
voice out a single burning question before finally passing out from hunger and dehydration.

"Kacchan?"

The blonde was quick on his feet, catching the frail beta in his arms and immediately calling for aid from the staff, staring gently at Izuku as he got wheeled away.

✂️✂️✂️
Izuku wakes up with a start, springing up from his bed and immediately regretting it, becaming aware of the pounding in his head and the dryness of his throat.

"Here," a glass of cold water was presented infront of him which Izuku greedily chugged down, a cool relief spreading
throughout his aching body.

He hears a low chuckle from his right, the tips of his ears turning red as he realized his lack of manners.

"Thank...you" the beta looks up to his saviour, breathe hitching as he takes in the taller male's features. He choked back a sob which caught
the blonde off guard.

Silver eyes frantically looked around for help, he wasn't exactly the comforting type. Maybe he scared the tiny beta.

Luckily, a nurse was passing by, taking in the scene of the giant blonde awkwardly hovering over a bawling beta.

The brunette laughs.
"I got it from here, Akio," the kind alpha woman shooed the other male who was really reluctant to leave the shaking form on the bed.

Nana rolled her eyes and nudged him outside.

"He's safe with me. Now go to the meeting room, the rescue squad is waiting for their leader."
With a last worried look, Akio finally made his exit.

The raven haired woman gently sat beside the crying greenette and carefully carded her hands through the beta's matted hair.

It took a couple of minutes before Izuku finally regained his composure, letting out little sniffes
I may have started the continuation in the wrong comment lmao

Here you go for Part III (Scene 3)
and whimpers before finally getting the energy to look up at the alpha woman.

"S-sorry," the greenette croaked out while wiping at the last of his tears running down his face.

"No need to say sorry for anything..."

"Izuku. Midoriya Izuku," he fills in.

Nana gives him a gentle
smile before giving him small pats to the head and standing to her full height.

"Nice to meet you, Izuku. I'm Nana Shimura. Why don't we get you some food and have you all cleaned up?" the woman suggests, holding out her hand for him.

The beta's eyes were misty.

"Yes, please."
Izuku truly believed that was the turning point in his life. Through Nana and the other staff, he got to know a lot more about OFA.

How they try to help out male betas by providing them with food and shelter, any means, as much as they can. Not only that. They try to give these
individuals a new opportunity.

Educating and equipping betas with the fundamentals of how to get their lives back on track. With most of them eventually being flown out of the country to safer and more progressive countries where they can thrive.

Other than this recuperative
aspect of OFA. There was a far more dangerous side to it. The rescue operations.

OFA has a special force of well trained volunteers that risk their lives on the daily to liberate and secure male betas that have been taken, kidnapped and tortured and many more unspeakable things
by those Alpha-Omega supremacist groups. One would think that years and years of fighting for these rights would dissolve these types of inhumane groups. But it seems that the more the marginalized fought, the bolder and crueller they become.

That's why their Rescue Team would
stop at nothing to fight against these types of people. Even if they come back beaten and bruised, they still return with their heads held high and their hearts teeming with pride at how they were able to save male betas from injustice.

And this is most evident on Ishizaki Akio.
During the first few months of Izuku's stay, he quietly observed during his recovery.

He'd help around as much as he can, with the recuperation side of the center. Handing out food and medicine, pumping water from their well. A whole lot of mundane tasks.

As much as possible,
the people incharge of the organisation didn't want to involve any of their betas with the rescue team. Seeing as most of them already have enough trauma as is.

But that changed for Izuku when their brave volunteers returned in panic with Akio bleeding profusely from the head.
Despite being unable to even look at the blonde's direction before that, Izuku was quick to drop what he was doing and ran into the middle crowd forming around the man.

Everyone was surprised when the usually timid beta suddenly barked out orders, yelling out in detail what they
needed to prevent any further bleeding and damage on their rescue operations leader.

That's how everyone found out that the greenette was a doctor, a pretty damn good one at that. And, with the blessing of Nana and the other leaders in the haven, he became the designated head of
treatment for the rescue operations.

Unknowingly, that also sowed the seeds to his relationship with Akio.

Izuku was the person attending to the wounded male on the daily. The first few days were really difficult for him. Seeing the man made something ugly in his chest crawl.
The likeness was just too much.

Blonde hair, although a lighter shade, was ridiculously spiked the same way as Katsuki's. Even the furrow in his brows and the default downturn of his lips were so eerily similar it brought Izuku to tears sometimes.

But then he opened his eyes.
And it was the most hauntingly beautiful shade of grey he has ever seen. Absolutely no trace of a fiery red that would have burned to look at.

It brought a certain serenity. An inexplicable peace that left the beta breathless. So breathless that he didn't notice he was staring.
Akio had his brows raised at the still oblivious greenette, opting to fake a cough to snap the other out of his train of thought. But then the dryness in his throat reduced him to an actual coughing fit that immediately sent Izuku into a panic.

"Oh my g- here!" the beta blushed.
Shit. He just caught staring like a weirdo. Akio probably thinks he's a creep now.

"No, you're not a creep," the deep voice answered in between sips of water. Smiling at the end when he looked at the greenette who has turned into a strawberry in the span of three seconds. Cute.
Izuku could die of embarrassment now.

Seriously, he felt like he could shrivel up and die at any second. The familiar ache in his chest came back when he saw that handsome smile. Was he having another panic attack after all these months?

He had to get out of here. He bowed to
Akio apologetically, saying that he'd quickly get the other staff to check on his health for now.

The blonde frowns a little at this, but he didn't want to impose. After all, he doesn't know what kind of shit Izuku went through. He needed to know his story.

"Thank you," Akio
simply says.

To his surprise, the beta turned in his directed, although not looking at his face at all, and gave a genuine smile that made Akio feel lighter.

"You're welcome. Thank you too, for back then too," Izuku says shyly before leaving.

Akio wanted to hear him talk more.
So he did.

It was like he was a man on a mission with how many times he'd "accidentally" cross paths with Izuku after that.

He didn't want to spook the little male so he started subtle enough. Only coming to see the beta doctor for his weekly check up which includes applying
the ointment to the nasty scar on his face from the last rescue operation he had been in.

Although it really wasn't in his nature to appease and adjust for someone, Akio tried his best to make their meetings light-hearted.

Like right now.

He pretended to flinch when the cold
cream made contact with the closing wound. Anything to make the beta talk.

"It hurts-" he said in his usual deadpan voice. He immediately felt bad when he saw panic cross the tiny beta's features.

"I-I'm sorry, am I pressing to hard?" Izuku asks, stopping his ministrations.
Akio shakes his head no, gesturing for Izuku to continue.

"It just hurts in general. I think hearing your voice will heal it a little more," now it was Izuku's turn to look at him like he was a weirdo and Akio almost wanted to bash his head on the wall like that bastard from
weeks ago did.

To his surprise, the beta actually lets out a little giggle at that.

Izuku still remained silent throughout the whole interaction, but the atmosphere was a little better.

Akio took that time to silently appreciate the freckles that dusted the beta's cheeks.
It was a little easier to break through the beta's barriers after that. It was already a year into Izuku's stay at OFA and Akio was, simply put, enamored.

The smaller male was actually a chatty person. He was the type to ask Akio a simple "how was the mission?" which would
eventually lead to his theories and observations. All of which the soldier would keenly listen to. He even said his own two cents despite usually being taciturn.

There was just something about Izuku that made him want to see his smile. Hear that adorable giggle that plucked at
his heart strings. And see those wide doe eyes turn into crescents in the process.

He was initially in denial. After all, he never thought he could love again after...well, it doesn't matter.

But it seems like Izuku was more in denial than him. Either that or he was oblivious.
With the type of work that he does, Akio knew that he had no reason to hold back. And seeing Izuku respond positively to his gestures --to him, bringing home little trinkets and books from his missions, to giving Izuku the occasional fleeting touches-- made Akio really happy.
But there was still something holding him back. And Akio had a single clue to what that may be.

"Is it 'Kacchan'?" the blonde asked hesitantly, Izuku completely stopping from wrapping the leader's injured arm.

"How..." was the only work Izuku could utter. But Akio understood,
he made an effort to always understand Izuku throughout their time together.

"That was what you said before you fainted in my arms a year ago," the enigma started, "and I just waited cause I wanted to give you a little bit more time to be comfortable. But, Izuku...I really like
you. And I figured that I really wanted to make that clear because I don't want to regret anything anymore," Akio's voice cracked a little in the end, eyes brimming with something Izuku couldn't quite place.

The greenette couldn't deny that he has grown fond of Akio too. And he
felt so damn guilty about it.

He still sees glimpses of carmine eyes in his dreams. Sometimes, they're despondent, desperately calling at Izuku to come back. Other times they're hateful, full of unbridled rage and betrayal that Izuku would wake up shivering.

"You wouldn't
understand!" Izuku, unable to process his feelings properly, suddenly lashed out. Akio kept silent in shock, but he got heated at Izuku's next statement.

"You don't know the feeling of suddenly losing your whole world! That was Kacchan for me!"

"I had someone like that too!"
Akio couldn't believe he raised his voice. And with how much wider Izuku's eyes had become, he's probably just as shocked too.

"His name was Yoichi...He was the fucking love of my life," the enigma managed to get out. It was shaky. He never really said it out loud. Until now.
That's when the dam broke. Akio told him everything. About how him and Yoichi grew up together. About how he always felt the need to protect the other male because he was a beta and he couldn't seem to find value in his own existence. How Akio promised all of his tomorrows to the
other but all those tomorrows were snuffed out. Because Akio was a selfish asshole in his earlier years. And while he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his childhood friend, the enigma inside him wanted to achieve great heights first before mating Yoichi and
turning him to an omega that the other so desperately wanted. After all, there was no turning back once you mate with an enigma. It's a forever contract. The potency of the dominating nature makes it so that the two parties involved could only pair once. Could only even conceive
once.

It was a great leap that metaphorically and literally decides their and their progeny's fates. Not even death could part them. So Akio, wanted to rise in the ranks before giving his all to Yoichi. And the other understood. But fate didn't.

Because Yoichi was taken by AFO
the most merciless persecutors of the beta population that even mockingly named themselves after the place that provided comfort to hundreds of their victims.

And by the time Akio busted through their doors and cradled the love of his life in his arms, he was already cold.
Izuku could do nothing but pull the shaking enigma into a tight embrace. Tears freely flowing from his eyes at the unbearable pain that Akio must have had to endure while retelling that.

"I'msorryI'msorryI'm-" the beta repeated under his breath.

"So tell me, please. Help me
understand and tell me if we really can't work out. Then I can just say I did my best but I'll move in. At least this time, I wanna do everything I can. I don't want to live in regret and what ifs anymore, Izuku," Akio said resolutely, tearful eyes staring straight into Izuku.
It took a couple of tries for the beta to finally be able to voice out a reply. But he was able to do it with a smile, however wobbly and somewhat forced, it gave Akio hope.

"Okay," Izuku responded before he told his story as well. He watched as the blonde's expression shifted
throughout. Pain, understanding, even embarrasment and contempt (towards Katsuki really).

"All this time I was making you suffer by my mere presence. I'm sorry, Izuku," the enigma apologized before the greenette gave him a weak smile.

"It's okay Ishizaki-san. Now that I see
it, it's kinda dumb isn't it?" Izuku gave a self deprecating laugh. Suddenly, there were bigger hands enclosing his in a comforting hold.

"It isn't and...just Akio...is fine," the taller male said, face down to his neck was flushed. Izuku mirrors it.

"Okay and thank you, Akio."
Izuku felt like he was in one of those romance movies after that. Three months into their courtship, his nightmares stopped. Replaced by dreamless sleep that significantly improved his health.

Every waking moment, in turn, felt like a dream. Every single time Akio came back, he
was swept off of his feet, twirled around like some heroine in a cheesy blockbuster and kissed and coddled like no tomorrow. Akio didn't spare anything. What he gave to Izuku, he gave fully.

It was evident in the way he always gave a reassuring kiss on the top of the beta's head
before every mission with a quick "I'll be back", was palpable in the way he'd remember the little things Izuku told him in their downtime and taking home random things he'd manage to grab from his missions (he even got Izuku an All Might plushie! one of his favourite anime super
heroes from childhood), but it was the most obvious when, around the second and a half year of their whirlwind romance consisting of multiple close calls for Akio, an abundance of worrying from Izuku, so much shed tears from both ends, and a seemingly lifetime worth of love, it
finally happened.

Akio got on one knee, with Nana and the others expectedly smiling and even crying tears of joy in the background.

"Will you be my mate, Izuku?" his eyes shone silver.

The greenette almost toppled both of them over when he jumped into Akio's arms.

"I will!"
They were wed soon after that and then the night of their mating comes.

Izuku was expectedly nervous while Akio was worried.

"Izuku...I understand if you don't want to go through the full mating process at all. You...you were a beta all your life and it even took you so long to
come to terms with it. It's even part of your cause and purpose. I don't want to take that away from you if you don't want to. As long as I can have you in the fullest way you could give me. I'll be more than happy with that," the enigma said without an ounce of doubt making his
husband smile.

It would be a lie if Izuku said he hasn't thought of it at all. Because he has been obsessing over it for the pass months. He knew how permanent this was. It limits his options to a single shot at having a partner, a sole opportunity to have a family and makes
his forever entwined with Akio. Not to mention, that entire thing about turning into an omega. He struggled with his second gender all his life and for this burden to finally be lifted all these years...it didn't feel wrong.

As he looked into the sincerity and the love brimming
from his husband's eyes, it didn't feel wrong at all.

He was ready and he said so.

And that got him the biggest, most ravishing smile from his mate.

"I love you, Ishizaki Izuku."

The greenette giggled.

"I love you too, Akio."

That night was the best night they both had.
Izuku was quite sick after a while. The shift to omega taking a toll on his body. It was very noticeable. The gentle curves and slope of his waist and hips, the distinct glow of his skin, and even how his...assets have suddenly been more endowed.

It did wonders to their marriage
with Akio's enigma responding to the transforming body that was just for him. He almost couldn't take his hands off of Izuku throughout the recovery.

But once Izuku seems to have fully settled, they shared every waking moment entwined and preening in each other's presence.
Really, Akio refused to leave Izuku's side if he weren't out on a mission. Constantly making sure that his mate was happy, content and safe. They were so disgustingly inlove that everyone wondered if this was just their honeymoon phase or were they really just that enamored
with each other.

But that inquiry seemed to trigger a challenge from above and only three months into their domestic bliss was Akio faced with the biggest challenge in his --their-- lives.

They were in the middle of talking about building a family when Rody, one of Akio's
subordinates, dropped the bomb on them.

"They...found AFO, Akio," the brunette revealed.

---

"It's too dangerous, Akio!" Izuku argued while his husband geared up, securing knives and guns and ammunition that made Izuku sick just by seeing them.

There was a storm brewing
behind those grey eyes when they looked into Izuku. Seeing how distressed his omega was cleared the cloudiness up a little.

"Akio, please don't go," the greenette begged, his newly settled omega crying alongside him. It was warning Izuku, telling him to not let his mate go.
/We need him, Izuku. WE NEED HIM./ The omega grovelled and cried. The greenette missed the underlying message, his thoughts were in shambles.

"Izuku...I need this. Like I said," the blonde calmly said while directing a watery smile at his husband, thumbing away the constant
stream of tears that cascaded down Izuku's cheeks. ", I don't want to live in regret anymore," he said with a finality that made Izuku understand.

It hurt but he understood. So, despite the omega clawing inside him /nonono/, he gave his husband a sincere kiss and a warm smile.
"I love you, Akio," he managed to say in between sobs.

"I love you too, Izuku," Akio replied with all his heart before pulling away, ready to erase the only thing that was holding him back from living his life with his mate to the fullest.

As he watched him go, Izuku couldn't
help but notice that his husband forgot their customary kiss to the top of the head and the reassurance that he needed now more than ever. He forgot to say "I'll be back."

This made his world shift sideways, making Izuku sick as he ran into their shared bathroom and threw up.
A week into Izuku waiting for Akio's return, his suspicions were confirmed. His omega has fully settled so the reason he felt so sick all the time wasn't because of a residual process in the shift.

He was pregnant. With twins.

And that reinvigorated his spirits, eagerly
waiting to tell his husband the great news.

It was a miracle. A miracle that had to be paid with tragedy.

Because not even three days after that, three bloody soldiers came back.

"We defeated them," the soldiers tearfully said. Rody shifted his eyes to Izuku.

"I'm so sorry."

"-it, Mama?" Mahoro asked while looking up at a dazed Izuku.

"C-could you repeat that, sweetheart?" the omega asks apologetically, now is not the time to remember that. He has to learn how to live in the present.

The tiny alpha waved the ragged All Might doll around infront of
Izuku.

"You said Papa was like All Might, right? He saved people and had shiny teeth when he smiled?!" Mahoro inquired, more like declared, excitedly. Gaining oohs and aahs from the young audience.

"That he was," Izuku confirmed before his visage hardened a little. "He was a
fighter, a soldier and a volunteer. He saved many beta friends from bad guys," from the oppressive and close-minded was what he wanted to say. But he really didn't want to wreak havoc in an environment full of three and four year olds. He wants to influence young impressionable
minds at the right time and at the right age. Hopefully, when they get to understand right from wrong.

For now..

Izuku smiles fondly at the proud smirk that his devious little girl has. Katsuma also had a sparkle in his eye that he always got whenever he gets reminded of his
papa.

"And he continues to do that wherever he is now. He's Mahoro, Katsuma and I's superhero in the sky," Izuku ends the presentation by hauling his babies up, making them both laugh and smile before Izuku sets them down for a playful curtsy and bow to the applauding audience.
Other presentations went by like a blur. It was a surprise that Izuku had the strength to stand with all the emotions running through him.

He never knew he had to relieve his trauma and heartache infront of a room full of strangers.

"Izuku..."

Speaking of trauma and heartache.
"Ba-Kac-Katsuki," was what the greenette settled with.

The blonde would have laughed if it weren't for the jab he felt from being stripped of the endearment that had been echoing in his dreams all these years.

"Can we...talk?" the blonde asked hesitantly, voice low enough for
only Izuku to hear. No matter how desperate he was, he wouldn't want to cause a scene.

The reluctance from the greenette was palpable, with his viridian eyes worriedly eyeing back and forth between the man infront of him and their children. Happily mingling together.

Just then,
Chiyo made her presence known with the gentle tap of her cane on the floor, sporting a kind smile as she motions to the nursery's play yard.

"I'll look after the kids," she reassures them before the respective parents returned to their children for some last minute reminders.
"Don't give Chiyo-sensei a hard time, okay?" Katsuki says as he playfully ruffles Izuki's hair. The little girl beamed and gives a thumbs up.

Izuku, on the other hand, was worrying his bottom lip and trying not to cry. He could see how both Mahoro and Katsuma blatantly stare at
the blonde alpha right beside their table. It took everything in him not to break down when they asked.

"Why does he look like papa?" Mahoro asks, straightforward and carefree as usual, before snapping her attention back to her colouring book. Katsuma couldn't turn away from the
sight of the alpha though. Tugging at the hem of Izuku's shirt, he asked with misty eyes.

"Is he our Papa, Mama?" It felt like a punch to the gut. The pain reminiscent of the searing feeling on his nape when his inner omega felt its pair perish. The memory causing Izuku to feel
the back of his neck, the phantom sting immediately dissipating when his fingers met nothing but cloth.

Izuku swallows an imaginary lump before crouching down to Katsuma's height. His sweet angel was a little bit too much like him. Couldn't quite grasp the concept of death.
He couldn't blame him. Even at the considerable age of 34, Izuku was still grappling and struggling at the idea of being introduced to an existence so irreplaceable, only to have them taken away on divine forces' whim.

It's a cruel reality that he wasn't ready to burden his
children with. So, instead of an answer, he opted to give both twins a kiss on the top of the head. Force of habit, he supposes.

"I'll be right back."
---

The silence wasn't suffocating nor was it comforting. It's charged with something. Hesitation, longing, frustration.
It wasn't clear what it was but Katsuki really should break it or else Izuku might hightail it out of there and slip right through his fingers again.

"She's beautiful," Izuku remarks, surprising the alpha. The omega had a soft look on his face, watching as Izuki shows Mahoro her
crayon masterpiece. Warmth floods Katsuki at that. His heart was happy. The love of his life thinks his daughter-- his only family -- is beautiful.

For a second, he wonders if they ever got their happy ending back then, would Izuku cry at the mere sight of their pups? Probably.
"Your wife must have been really pretty," the omega says sincerely, pushing the grass with his feet so the swing gently rocks.

Green eyes were trained on the ground, not seeing how the blonde flinched at the statement. Izuku picked up on that though after the noticeable silence.
Oh no. He must have said the wrong thing.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Uhm, I probably said something wrong when you said she was out of the picture awhile ago I thought--"

He still mutters huh.

"It's alright," Katsuki says, clearly endeared by the old habit. He couldn't blame Izuku for
assuming the woman he had a child with was his wife. With how hell-bent on how he wanted a traditional family in the past, the thought came naturally to his ex-lover.

"She was a stranger, honestly," Katsuki revealed, the creaking sound of rusty chains resounding as Izuku stops
the swing.

"Got drunk, woke up next to a stranger and months later I open up the door to see my baby in a basket," the alpha recalls with a furrow in his brow, trying to take deep breaths to calm himself. His vision is getting blurry with the tears starting to well up in his
eyes. He let out a laugh. He thought all these years of hardship finally toughened him up, but here he is pathetically crying infront of the person who was the light of his life once upon a time.

Katsuki's rough hands stopped rubbing at his own face furiously when he hears Izuku
choke back tears. He was hurting for Katsuki. In all of the years they shared, he knew how much the alpha wanted to build a home with someone he truly loved. He kept quiet about it but Izuku saw how he tirelessly worked for it. Agonized over it too. Izuku knew, he broke alongside
Katsuki because of it.

For that to be shattered by a single night, a reckless decision, must have felt like watching the whole world crumbling down infront of him.

But Izuki was able to glue him back together. It painful at the start. To hold a child so close to his vision of

what could have been with the love of his life, but he'd constantly be disillusioned when he saw his daughter.

Her curls were the wrong shade of green, eyes a little too sharp, and cheeks missing a smatter of freckles. She was painfully similar yet so blatantly different from
Izuku that it messed with the alpha's brain and strained their initial interactions. There was always a dull ache in his chest whenever he craddled the little girl, a heavy pit in his stomach whenever she cried and her tiny fists grasped at his shirt -- desperately seeking the
comfort of a parent. A parent he wasn't so sure she ever did have in the one year they spent apart.

Considering that Setsuna abandoned her and never looked back, chances are Katsuki was her only shot at experiencing this type of love. And as he looked at her trembling form,
the alpha's lips tugged upwards and he placed a gentle kiss on the baby's forehead.

Finally, after weeks of feeling lost and confused in the dark, a sliver of light has finally peeked through.

"Everything's fine, daddy's here."

Izuki, with her tiny palms, was able to pick up
the giant burdens that weighted Katsuki down. Each smile she gave pushed him to do a little better.

As an alpha, as a person, as a father.

Eventually, Katsuki's broken pieces have adhered so closely together that he'd almost seemed like the same whole man he was before.
Only, sometimes he'd still feel the cracks in his being. Barely concealable damage that only scarred hands and forest green eyes could ever mend.

And Katsuki was convinced that maybe once he sees Izuku again, then he could fully heal.

But why are the cracks turning to trenches?
Why is it that, despite the flood of tears Izuku was crying for him, he could still feel that the greenette would rather be anywhere else?

Like his mere presence was hurting the other?

But he understands. Countless sleepless nights had allowed him to contemplate on how much he
has wronged the former beta. How his shortcomings chipped away at the armour of Izuku's resilience throughout the years.

"I know I wasn't a perfect partner, not by a long shot," he managed to say, letting out a self-deprecating laugh, "but I really did love you, Izuku. I...
I still do. I'm sorry if it seemed like I've led you on for all those years. I was a fucking dumbass," the blonde spat out, undertone lamenting and regretful.

"I had ten years...Ten fucking years to get my shit together and make up my mind. To promise and reassure you that you
are it for me. But..." he recalls how everyone around him was so eager for him to move on, as if forgetting Izuku was expected of him after a goodnight's sleep "...I fucking didn't. And it felt like I was being pulled apart from different directions when deciding what to do with
/our/ relationship. What others thought shouldn't have had any bearing. It was just between the two of us... And I'm so sorry I only realized that when there wasn't an us anymore," the alpha's face crumbled at that, the exact moment of waking up to the cold bed alone replaying in
his head.

Katsuki stood and made his way over to the inconsolable omega. Kneeling in front of the greenette, he took the shaking hands in his and pressed his face into back of them. Izuku felt the dampness from his tears.

"I'm so sorry, please don't hate me, Izuku..." his voice
shook, silent yet imploring. Afraid of the response he'd get.

"Kacchan..."

Katsuki finally looked up at that, eyes searching the million emotions flooding in those jade pools.

"I could never hate you," Izuku revealed, looking directly at where his feet met the ground. Katsuki
frowns despite his reassuring words.

"Why... can't you look at me, then?" the blonde asked, voice cracking.

He felt how Izuku tensed up at that. Watched with bathed breathe how those lips twisted into a painful smile as those viridian eyes tried to hold his stare for a second.
And then he sees it. A flash of hurt. Before those eyes lowered elsewhere once again.

Izuku whimpered as Katsuki felt the gap in his chest grow wider.

"I...You.." the greenette attempted to say it, but it felt too cruel. What he was about to say hurt him so much that he visibly
shook, clutching at the front of his shirt and letting out a sob that held so much pain, Katsuki felt like he was being gutted just by listening to it.

Izuku knew he couldn't put it into words at this moment, so he hesitantly reached for his pocket. Pulling out his wallet with
trembling hands, trying not to drop it while the tremors turned almost violent when he takes something out and handed it to the man before him.

It was a lovely picture of Izuku with an unbelievably wide smile, together with a man who bore a striking resemblance to Katsuki. Akio?
"T-that's him. The love of my life," the omega managed to croak out with evident fondness.

It felt like Izuku had just stabbed him straight to the heart and twisted the dagger.

A part of him wanted to be angry. To laugh at the absurdity of Izuku finding someone who shared his
face and committing to him instead. He wanted to lash out about why he would settle for some copycat version of him. But the bigger part of him, the voice of reason that had thankfully developed and guided him throughout the pass years acknowledged that Akio was probably more of
man than he is. Much more deserving of Izuku. As if reading his mind, the greenette spoke.

"He...he was all I ever wanted, Kacchan..."

/Gave you everything I didn't/ Katsuki thought to himself.

"It's been four years but... everything still reminds me of him..." Izuku sobs.
"And when when I look at you--" the greenette explains as if each and every word physically hurt him, "--all I see is him."

Katsuki has gone through many trials in his life that could easily break anyone. Was even at the precipice of insanity at one point because of the hurt.
But nothing could compare to what he was feeling right at that moment. Like his very soul was was being torn to shreds.

He didn't know what propelled him to respond, half expecting to shut down completely after having his entire being shattered. But desperation could make even a
dying man sing.

"Then use me as a reminder of him. You can have me any way you want, Izuku. I don't want to lose you. Even if it's just a stand in, I'll do it just please..." Katsuki grovels at his feet, clutching onto the omega like he's the alpha's lifeline.

It broke Izuku.
But he didn't want Katsuki to think like that. So lowly of himself. Like he was someone who didn't deserve happiness.

"Kacchan," Izuku kneels right infront of the blonde, lifting his head up so they could finally look at each other.

Izuku takes a deep breath in and smiles.
"Bakugo Katsuki. You're my first crush, first kiss, first love. First everything. You're the one I grew up with...Hell, you're the one who I thought I'd spend forever with," Izuku starts, tears welling up once again, allowing their free fall for Katsuki to see just how sincere
his words were.

More tears cascaded down the alpha's cheeks.

By the looks of it, Izuku's message had come across well.

"I devoted ten years of my life to you, and I know that you struggled to do that for me too. But thank you for trying and thank you for all the happiness and
even the heartache you brought me," the greenette carefully wipes at the saltiness spilling from the alpha's cheek while Katsuki whispered apologies over and over again. Izuku placates him with a silent "i know" before trudging forward.
"No matter what happens, you'll always be my Kacchan so don't you /ever/ think that I can just throw away all of that just to see a glimpse of the man I love,” there was a hint of frustration behind that declaration, green eyes blazing with conviction.
"I loved you too and discarding that fact would be unfair to you. To the both of us," the greenette had to take a few breaths, trying to control the inexplicable feelings brewing inside him, "So I'm sorry, Kacchan. I can't take you up on that offer and play pretend with you."
He saw the quiet rupture he caused through that statement. Seen how the alpha winced and deflated with his refusal but some truths had to be stated.

"Even if I'm all you've ever wanted now that I--" he choked back tears, "--I'm an omega, we can't have our happy ending anymore."
He looked straight into those carmine eyes before delivering the final blow, "Akio was an enigma."

It's funny how just four words can completely extinguish any ember of hope that the alpha had left. Because he knew the implications.
Anyone bound to the almost elusive second gender was basically shackled to their pair. The amount of sacrifices was extensive. The fact that the partner can never conceive after the first time, the fact that they could never revert back to their original genders, the fact that if
they remotely feel any misplaced affection towards someone who was not their enigma would physically feel like being scorched alive, and the fact that they are bound forever.
Izuku knew what he got himself into. And every single day that he wakes up to the sight of Mahoro and Katsuma leaves no room for regret. Akio gave him everything in surplus and Izuku did too. Through a connection that even death can never part.
"But more than that, he's my greatest love and I don't... I don't think I can ever love anyone anymore," Izuku let out a weak laugh at that, but the fortitude in his following words were undeniable, "-and I don't intend to," he finishes apologetically at the stunned blonde.
They sat in silence on the grass after that. They must have looked ridiculous to onlookers, face tear stricken and eyes bloodshot. Voices hoarse and pants getting dirtier the longer they stayed on the ground.
Rumors could definitely spark amongst the other parents if they've witnessed everything that was happening only a couple of feet from their building if Chiyo didn't keep them preoccupied with whatever activity she thought of and bought them some semblance of much needed privacy.
The quiet stretched on for what felt like hours, but in reality it was just their ragged breaths filling up the space for a handful of minutes.

Izuku was reluctant about what to do next, seeing the blank look in the blonde's eyes was disquieting.

He couldn't read him. At least
not like he used to.

It was unexpected. How he was unceremoniously pulled towards a hard chest, senses suddenly assaulted with the smell of campfire and burnt sugar, a hint of gasoline too. He was enclosed in arms that once felt like home.
"Kac-"

"Last time...Just...let me have this please," the blonde pleaded, blonde spikes tickling Izuku's face as he buried his face into the crook of the omega's neck.
It was a selfish move, that much was clear, but he had to have a memory to live by. He wanted to convince himself that having Izuku in his arms was all that mattered at the moment, but that wasn't true. He was thinking ahead, like he always was. And he knew that after today,
things will definitely be different.

He was letting Izuku go.
As much as wanted to fight for a place beside the love of his life, he didn't want to get in the way of the happy tomorrows the omega had envisioned for himself and his family. Katsuki will give everything up, even sacrifice his own version of an ideal future for Izuku.
Even if that meant erasing himself from the picture completely.

Besides, he knew that his presence in the greenette's life might stir confusion and feelings. Might eventually become a detriment to the omega's wellbeing by the virtue of Izuku's existing /everlasting/ bond.
Who would want to hurt someone they love? Certainly not Katsuki. Not again. Especially now that he's aware of how consequential his actions, or lack thereof, are.
So he squeezes Izuku tight, trying to memorize the comforting feel of having the smaller male in his arms. When he felt the greenette squeeze back, a tear escaped the ducts of his eyes and his lids fluttered shut. He greedily takes in the sweet scent of jasmine and tuberose as
Izuku started to shake in his arms once again.

He hated how all he's done upon their reunion was make Izuku cry. But this will be the last time. He'll make sure of that.
He wanted to tell Izuku that he was the best thing that ever happened to him. That he would probably remain in his mind until he takes his last living breathe.

He wants to express how sorry he was and that he would desperately grasp at straws and search for him in their next
lifetimes to do things right.

But for now, he couldn't find the strength to say it. Part of him thinks he doesn't deserve to make anymore promises.

So he'll sum it up. Five words. He'll allow himself five words to sum up over a decade's worth of feelings, regrets, and what ifs.
"I love you, Izuku..." he says as a single tear joined the raindrops that started pelting hard on the ground. Four words down.

He wanted nothing more than to keep the despairing male in his arms.

But he can't.

He might refuse to let go. So he gently pulled away even though
every fibre of his being is burning, telling him to /hold on, damn it!/

/Last one, I promise/ he says to the greedy part of himself, carefully weaving his fingers with Izuku's who graciously allowed it.
He smiles an apologetic smile to Izuku, who managed to give him a small smile back, even giving a gentle squeeze through their connected hands to encourage him.

Just like he used to.

He had to brace himself, taking one final shaky breathe before forcing out the dreadful fifth
word.

"Goodbye," the blonde says with misty eyes, heart strangely full and light at the same time. He was happy that, at least this time, he was able to say that before they parted ways.

And then he relinquished his hold after Izuku uttered his reply.

"Goodbye, Kacchan."

END.
Omake:

When Bakugo didn't show up to drop off little Izuki for class for the following days, weeks and even months after, all Chiyo can do was look sadly at her student's vacant chair and keep a respectable silence.

She prays for their safety and happiness.

Izuku doesn't have the right to cry.

No. Even if they've crossed the line of friendship multiple times, him and Katsuki weren't dating. The various dates that the blonde so openly parades infront of him made that obvious.

But they had a rule.
An unspoken one but respected each and every time. They only shared heats and ruts with one another.

Without fail, the blonde would come knocking on his door, his musky scent more pungent than usual and pupils blown and darkened. Every single time, they surrender their bodies to
each other. An exclusivity that Izuku so foolishly held onto. A dire miscalculation that he chose to blow out of proportion. Because he thought this meant he was special to Katsuki.

His ears were currently ringing, the booming bass of the party at its peak making it worse. But

Katsuki lost all hope of being with Izuku when both of them presented as alphas at 14.

They meet again ten years later at a seedy bar and he had to double take.

Izuku was very obviously enjoying acting like some dumb omega whore on some filthy alphas lap.
It wasn't unheard of. There were alphas out there who enjoyed going against their nature. Opting to be thrown around, dominated and used. Only finding pleasure in the touch of someone much /stronger/.

He gives the familiar male a once over, carmine eyes appraisingly roaming over
Izuku's sinewy body. He looks strong. But Katsuki was stronger.

That little detail sent a jolt of excitement through him. A first. He never felt this way for someone of the same second gender.

He'd only ever gone out with those soft delicate omegas that he could easily break in

Someone showing Izuku a video of his husband cheating and he watches, unfazed and amused.

"That's not Kacchan," the omega says with all the confidence in the world. The extra tries to argue but Izuku shot them down.

"His dick is bigger and it curves to the right."
And when it's someone showing how Katsuki's husband is being an infidel, the blonde just watches with rapt attention like its a science documentary.

And then he chuckles when it stops.

"Too much theatrics. Izuku's loud but not /that/ loud," Katsuki says as he rolls his eyes.
They even send the links of their apparent sex tapes with other people to each other when it's particularly bad, funny or good.

Dk: Imagine if your orgasm face really looked like that 💀
Bk: I just /know/ you can bend like that too. Let's try this, Deku.

Izuku couldn't help but stare. Kacchan was still so devastatingly handsome after all these years, and his traitorous heart never stopped beating for him.

Especially when they're like this.

With the inebriated blonde casually pulling Izuku into his arms.
Izuku tried so hard to stay away. He really did, but it seems like the drunk blonde's inclination to monopolize his childhood friend was something he never grew out of.

"Deku," Katsuki slurred out, nuzzling into the juncture of Izuku's neck and shoulder. The greenette tries to
pull away subtly, hands still affectionately carding through the surprisingly soft spikes of his best friend's hair.

He lets out a soft hum, his quiet way of asking Katsuki to continue.

"You know I love you, right?" the drunk male says like it's the most casual thing in the

Platonic #enjideku

As Shoto's best friend, Izuku had the privilege to hang out in the Todoroki household and Enji becomes increasingly endeared by him that, by the end of the year, he's buying little snacks Izuku likes for whenever he comes over plus a pair of bunny slippers.
Plus if he gives a /tiny/ push for Shoto and Izuku to fall in love (because he wants the Midoriya cuteness to infiltrate his bloodline) and he "accidentally" sets up candle lit dinners and lock them in the pantry room. But they really are just friends so he sulks until Izuku
promises to adopt a dog with Shoto and now that dog is the most spoiled animal in the world and Izuku is in their house 50% more.

Izuku grows fond of Enji too, even crying to Shoto one day about him finally experiencing what having a dad feels like as they cuddle to sleep.

END.

#bkdk prompt!, angst, unrequited love

Izuku was four when he first fell in love, big eyes glistening with wonder as he saw the boy who had shone more impressively than the sun ever could.

Unbeknownst to him, it was the beginning of a blooming feeling bound to wither and die.
It was this profound emotion that taught him how to be a great pretender.

Izuku didn't know how he managed to surpass the shiver that would have wracked his entire body when Katsuki tucked one of his curls behind his ear.

"You're a mess, dumbass."

"Thanks, Kacchan."

"You're so attached to the hip, you're practically married."

The look of utter disgust on his best friend's face was more than telling as he spat at the extra that jokingly said that.

"Stop being disgusting. We're nothing like that. Tell him, Izuku!"

"Y-yeah."
