Omg, they're proposing: up to 25 years in prison; if your baby is premature, you have to give birth at a hospital/facility w/ 2 physicians present; it forbids physicians from considering mental/emotional conditions as life-threatening enough reasons to terminate a pregnancy.
Anytime someone miscarries during a medical procedure/treatment, the physician has to report it to the state w/ a signed consent form from the birthing parent, their obstetrical history, incl. dates of *any* abortions; & a recitation of facts.

Even referring someone to another doctor who provides abortions or an abortion doula when you kinda know they'd do it is restricted. Driving your friend when you know they're getting an abortion is restricted.

Some of ya'lls politics are just 'girls rule and boys drool' and I don't like that. 🙃
The 'men shouldn't have a say when it comes to women's bodies!!!' war cries ignore so much, including the fact that Amy Coney Barrett is a woman elected to the highest court in this country.
Of course, the bodies of trans men, non-binary folks, and gender diverse people are being legislated as well, so it's especially not a boys vs. girls issue.

Women were shut out of writing/directing jobs for EVERY EPISODE of this season of #GameOfThrones. So while I love that we feel empowered by certain female characters, women should've written them. Particularly for characters who were sexually abused.

Like, even if it wasn't deeply triggering, knowing that men wrote that Sansa's character is grateful for her rape would ruin it for me. Cishet men have the most power from an intimate justice standpoint. What do they know about a woman being 'strengthened' by sexual trauma?
And how low is the bar if we're celebrating a show's feminism but all of its writers and directors are cis men?

Nia Wilson's murder is greater than racism. It is misogynoir. We have to talk about the intersection of blackness & womanhood at which black women are not being protected.
We've been saying for years that misogynoir is a dangerous hybrid of gender violence & racism and here is just *another* example of it.
Over a year ago, studies came out indicating that young black girls are seen as more mature/less deserving of protection.
