Hosted the #BIMABeyond Conference yesterday.

Gosh. What a day of learning curated by @mattdesmier with @bima at @ministryvenues

Each speaker was a book in themselves. And so many were already authors with several titles to their names.

Or several businesses.

Or businesses worth billions of dollars.

Or new ideas worth trillions.

And research worth millions for your agency or business.

Truly amazing.

Like Sir Martin Sorrell who's comment I loved was that young people would prefer working on speedboats rather than aircraft carriers.

Great news for us startups like @YourFlock.

And Orlando Wood with his amazing neuro scientific prove of the need for more humour in advertising.

And the uncertainty experts led by Be More Prirate author @SamConniff who rocked the stage and blew my mind with his work around uncertainty tolerance.

Which working for a #tech startup working in #EmployeeEngagement dynamics totally resonated with me.

And we had a great reminder of the power of the coming attention recession and the very real ecomonic downturn from legend @marykeanedawson

Who has built and scaled and sold businesses in a recession. And her wisdom shown through.

I was so in awe. I didn't get a proper selfie.

We had great talks about the power of social media and social buying and then questions about the metaverse vs gaming brand activations... That I scribbled so many notes from. That I didn't get pictures! Sorry fern and @Whatleydude but I know lots of people took pics and notes..

And we had the inspirational @lisasheadspace calling for marketing people to do more for the planet with @PurposeDisrupt and Yahye Siyad @cyberduck_uk and his powerful personal story of change and resilience. And @karaprosser urging @bima members to embrace designing for good...

And we weren't finished there with the last part of the day a powerhouse of household names brands like @google @DiageoGB @firstdirect talking about innovation and how they have done it. Chaired by @SonooSingh.

The key takehome was innovation is culture and people led bottom up.

Which was music to my ears. As @YourFlock is a bottom up values based #companyculture #EmployeeEngagement platform.

So it was lovely to hear people like Chris Pitt CEO of @firstdirect talk about the importance of #values and people to business success.

Last was @KianBakhtiari

Founder of The People... An award winning youth powered consultancy.

Reminding us that people and especially young people are the future of the marketing world...

And also about agility as his session, the 'people' created live was handed in at the break before he went on.

The whole day was amazing so.... Thanks for letting me host it.

Couldn't do much networking as I was hosting / running around for @bima ... Lol.

But lovely to meet everyone f2f at last.
