1) With a combination of lies and wishful thinking, Russian propagandists try to downplay the importance of Western arms supplies to Ukraine. Some examples in the thread @Textyorgua_Eng#GreyZone#AgainstRussianLies
2) One of the strategies of Russian propagandists is to say that Western weapons are faulty, outdated or hard to use. For instance, one of the articles on Lenta is titled "AFU [Ukrainian] general talks constant breakdowns of American howitzers."
3) It relies on the National Defence magazine interview with Gen. Volodymyr Karpenko. This headline gives the impression that howitzers are faulty and break down by themselves. However, in the original interview, Gen. Karpenko says the following:
4) Thus, American howitzers are damaged in artillery duels, which is not what Lenta leads its audience to believe.
5) Russian propagandists are also sure that Ukrainians won't be able to learn how to use modern weapons supplied by the Western allies. Here a member of Russia's State Duma, says that Ukraine has no soldiers to spare to train for American fighter jets.
6) Finally, Russian propaganda spreads the narrative that Ukraine re-sells the weapons it gets on the black market, although there is no evidence of that.

The story of Maryna from the village of Novyi Bilous, Chernihiv Oblast, who survived Russian shelling and lost her husband in the war. A thread 1/10 #UkraineWorldTestimony
On the first day of the war, I got a call from work and was told that Russian troops had approached the border and that explosions had been heard. The first night we stayed at home but hardly slept because of the explosions. 2/10
But when we finally started to fall asleep, grad rockets started firing right above our house. After that, in the morning, my child and I gathered and went to the bomb shelter, because it was incredibly scary and loud at home. But my husband stayed at home. 3/10
1) RU media paid much attention to the growth of inflation in the US. RU propagandists focused on statements of conservative American officials and commentators who accused the government and @POTUS of over-supporting Ukraine: @Textyorgua_Eng#GreyZone#AgainstRussianLies
2) Lenta quoted Congressman Byron Donalds: "Americans will spend $5,000 a year this year on gas, up 78% from only a year ago. This is Biden's price hike, not Putin's."
3) Life referenced former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that "we are not only in the cold war with Russia, we are in a hot war with Russia with Ukraine as the proxy."
The story of Yulia, who had to give birth in Chernihiv during the shelling of the Russian military. A thread 1/12 #UkraineWorldTestimony
On the first day of the war, our youngest son woke us up. The teacher wrote to the children that there was no need to go to school today because the war had begun. At first we stayed at home, and then we went to the basement of the school, where we lived for 5 days. 2/12
Then we returned home because I was late in my pregnancy, and my kidneys had started hurting from sleeping on the floor in the basement. During the bombing we hid in the corridor. 3/12
The story of Olena's family, who survived the occupation and evacuation from a village near Hostomel. A thread 1/12 #UkraineWorldTestimony
Morning, Hostomel, a half-destroyed street, cars, frightened people. Someone said that we should leave the cars and walk through the blown-up crossing, where evacuation buses would be waiting on the other side. But this option did not suit me. 2/12
And then I saw two cars coming. It was clear from the faces of the men that they knew where they were going. I waved for them to stop. One driver said he knew a way around the damaged section of the road, and I joined a third car behind them. 3/12
1) Thread: Two British citizens and a Moroccan captured by Russians while fighting for Ukraine have been sentenced to death by the so-called "DPR court." bbc.com/news/uk-617455…
2) "DPR" is merely a Russian proxy in eastern Ukraine; therefore, all the responsibility for this decision lies on the Kremlin. This is increasingly clear given the reaction of Russian propaganda to this news.
3) Alexander Sladkov, a correspondent for Russian state-owned media company VGTRK, is very happy about the "court sentence." He argued that "Anglo-Saxons" thought themselves to be better than other nations and now pay for this.
Global food crisis: what is the role of Russia’s war against Ukraine in inciting it? UkraineWorld asked Volodymyr Lapa, Advisor to President of Ukrainian Club of Agricultural Business. Key points of his analysis in our brief, #UkraineWorldAnalysis 1/11
Ukraine is a major exporter of grain crops, oilseeds, and processed products. The main agricultural products for export are sunflower oil, corn, wheat, and sunflower meal 2/11
Before the Russian full-scale invasion, #Ukraine provided 42-46% of international trade in sunflower oil, 11-17% – in barley, 11-13% – in corn, 8-10% – in wheat. Ukraine is among top four world exporters of grain 3/11
