Voting on 2051 Official Plan now, looks as though it will include 250Ha of Oak Ridges Moraine (ORM) #Greenbelt land in #Vaughan...they are talking now about splicing it out & voting on it in parts? Staff clearly said can't sign off if it includes ORM land...1/x

Chair Emmerson who has failed to call motions out of order says on the whole the plan should be supported and it's only a little bit of the Oak Ridges Moraine here and there, not a precedent setting vote @YorkRegionGovt Code of Conduct 2/x

The poor Clerk is being asked to splice Official Plan apart so @YorkRegionGovt Council members can support the bits & pieces...It's crazy. So messy! It all stems from motions brought forward by politicians that should have been called our of order 3/x

The public has been pretty clear NO DEVELOPMENT ON THE OAK RIDGES MORAINE
Staff have been pretty clear showing the urban boundary on the Oak Ridges Moraine IS NOT IN PROVINCIAL CONFORMITY 4/x

Mayor @_JohnTaylor says it quite well either you support it on mass or you don't!

Now we are back to including the #Stouffville Oak Ridges Moraine #Greenbelt lands...Council members are their own worst enemy still waiting for the vote...another amendment...and it passes 14 in favor 7 against....5/x

Here we go with the Official Plan including it all! #sprawl on #farmland, development on #Greenbelt #OakRidgesMoraine, downgrading #Greenbelt protection and @YorkRegionGovt Council is doing @fordnation dirty work to open up the Greenbelt 6/x

The rest of Council basically just demonstrated that the procedural by-law, #Greenbelt, planning legislation is red tape meant to be broken...7/x

Now the Clerk is saying let's pass a motion to suspend the procedural by-law to clean up the disaster and mess that consists of @YorkRegionGovt new Official Plan, which is nothing to be proud of and a perfect ending to the day! 8/x
