A great thread by Malcolm on the disturbing tale of barn castration (and not on farmyard animals).

Some have drawn attention to the echoes of the Manifesto from Action for Trans Health who demand unregulated surgical procedures. Details follow./
The Manifesto features a series of "demands" which are often wildly contradictory (no more clinics but surgery on tap) and never less than disturbing, but, in essence, boil down to unregulated & free body modification./

One might think this was just a fringe group of extremists, but ATH were taxpayer-funded & gave evidence to the Westminster inquiry on GRA. Bradley, the director, was cited in the report which adopted some of Bradley's recommendations./

Bradley boasted of training hundreds of NHS staff & advised on the treatment of trans prisoners. Bradley also acted as an advisor to Baroness Barker. Details in @STILLTish piece: /

Bradley was also a serial flasher who posted pictures of "her" male genitalia taken on trains, at bus-stops, parks and the office./

Bradley was suspended from an NUS role, but what happened next is rather murky. Apparently, Carter Ruck, the well-known libel & privacy specialists got involved.
And suspension didn't appear to stop Bradley being involved in the NUS. @Rose_Of_Dawn has been especially tenacious in trying to ensure this doesn't go away.
Meanwhile, the charming Ada Wells was another player in the Edinburgh branch (which originated the manifesto).
Wells - who caused problems for Magdalen at Ed Uni - called women “cuntscum” & called women who refuse to have sex with "gender-neutral" people with a penis – like Ada – transphobes,

After Maria MacLachlan was attacked, Edinburgh Action for Trans Health tweeted: “Punching TERFs is the same as punching Nazis. Fascism must be smashed with the greatest violence to ensure our collective liberation from it.”

As recently as three weeks ago, @DebbieHayton pointed out that the NHS are still directing people to ATH for advise on children.

@DebbieHayton At some point, those politicians and organisations who collude or promote groups like ATH or Mermaids will be called to account. And when they are, they cannot pretend the evidence was not there in plain sight.

Robison says process is lengthy and intrusive. Only 6000 people out of 500,000 trans people have a GRC (is she suggesting this is likely number?!)

Mentions "international best practice" which we still haven't bottomed out.
Expects number will rise from 30 to 250/300 per anum.

Says it doesn't change definition of man or woman and how trans people can be excluded from SSS but then says trans people become their "legal gender"

Worth remembering Ireland did not consider the rights of women in designing the legislation, but then, the State continue to evade responsibility for these horrors which were inflicted on women and children right up to the latter years of C20th

Is a barrister (who works in Scotland) really not accepting the decision of the highest court in the country?

Here Robin White admits that our JR ruling states sex is biological but Robin in supplementary evidence to @SP_EHRCJ, apparently, knows better./

White also says the definition of GR in S7 EA2010 is ‘physiological or other aspects of sex’.

A Barrister should know this is a rather partial reading and biased reading of the Act (to say the least!) and is not a definition of sex./
If the committee believe White, however, they should be aware they are supporting these positions:

- Sex is determined by stereotypes (hair, pronouns, clothing) .

- GRC change legal sex, if EA is only concerned with legal sex, exclusion from SSS would not be lawful./

Otherwise, the selection of witnesses shows the usual appalling bias, including Robin White who submitted late, childish "evidence".
Opening statements from Prof Sullivan focused on data, collection, and the impact on populations.

Robin White said the process would make them feel demeaned.
Maggie Chapman once again ignoring the fact that Alice is an expert in her field an asking about unrelated issues like "medical gatekeeping".

Alice keeps it on the importance for medicine on recording sex and how it makes it impossible to monitor outcomes and challenges.
