Thryronorm didn't have the drug thyroxine as it is supposed to have, and in other test there were some issues with labeling of the dosage as well. 2/

Thyronorm is a brand of Abbot, a highly reputed International pharma company. But the name "abbot" doesn't appear in DCA entries, just say manufactured by "Acme Generics LLP" in Himachal Pradesh. Check your bottle of Thyronorm, "Marketed by" Abbot "Mfd by" Acme/someone else 3/

Acme "Generics"? Is Thyronorm a brand or generic? As I maintained in a reply to @theliverdr, in India it's not easy to distinguish between "Brand" brands and generics.

I'm tweeting this for the kind attention of doctors in #MedTwitter who seem to trust brands and dislike generics. Any doc would happily prescribe Thyronorm, but most likely reject if patient asks to substitute with @Zeelabpharmacy generic instead (about 5 times cheaper). End/

Note that the test results apply only to the batch of pills that was tested. The medicine in your hand may be of a different batch, thus these particular test results don't apply. Check your regional DCA website to ensure.
