In an episode where a black man is killed it was impt to provide an image where black men are being loved, by each other and by the lens of witness great storytelling can provide. Of this groundbreaking moment the kiss on the forehead is perhaps the most revolutionary image.
#PValley is a show that holds space for uncomfortable conversations - from domestic abuse to sexuality. Instead of providing escape, S2 is lifting a mirror so that everyone can see themselves and wrestle with their reflections in ways most tv fails to do.
