The Assam police have arrested a man named Samsul Laskar for celebrating the gruesome murder of Hindu tailor #KanhaiyaLal.
Details

Samsul is a resident of the Katlicherra area in the Hailakandi district of Assam.
The matter came to light when a man named Abu Choudhury condemned the killing of Kanhaiya Lal on Facebook.
(2/n)
Choudhury had written, “An extremist killed a man for supporting Nupur Sharma in Udaipur. Besides condemning the incident, I also demand the death penalty for the accused.”
But, Samsul Laskar was clearly miffed.

Samsul was seen endorsing his co-religionists, Riyaz Attari and Mohammad Ghaus, for beheading Kanhaiya Lal.
He wrote in Bengali, "Hotya korei valo korecha – eto bodo ek aporadhika keno somorthon korlo."

#Translation of Samsul's comment:
It’s good that they have killed him (the victim). Why did he support an accused (like Nupur Sharma)?
Soon after, a complaint was registered against him by BJP Yuva Morcha (Hailakandi) President Milon Das.

Based on Das' complaint, Samsul Laskar was arrested by the police on June 30, 2022.
He has been booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 120, 153A,505 (1) (c), 505 (2) and Section 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967.

On his Facebook profile, Samsul had claimed to be associated with SK Roy College in Katlichera.
When @EastMojo reached out to the college, they informed that the accused had never been a part of the college in any capacity.
(7/n)
BJP Yuva Morcha (Hailakandi) President Milon Das told @EastMojo, "The act by Samsul is tantamount to supporting the terrorist organisation, which was behind the killing and this is disturbing the communal harmony across the district."

If all State governments were this prompt in taking action against anti-social elements, calling for beheading and celebrating killings over blasphemy, then, perhaps Kahnhaiya Lal would have been alive today.
(9/n)
On July 1, @TIME reporter Sanya Mansoor used the gruesome murder of #KanhaiyaLal to peddle the narrative of ‘Muslim victimhood’ and trivialise the security and safety concerns of the Hindu community in India.
At the very onset, Mansoor shifted the discourse from the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal to supposed ‘chilling calls for revenge’ against the ‘marginalised’ Muslim population.
(2/n)
While trying to contextualise the murder, she suggested that the poor Hindu tailor had drawn the wrath of the extremists upon himself by supporting the ‘derogatory comments’ of ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

If you look at the extremists (can be easily identified by their clothes) who wreaked havoc in different cities in India on June 10, you can make some assumptions about them.
(1/n)
Many of them are poor and do menial jobs (pick trash, fix punctures on highways etc).
They mostly live in ghettos and have little to no formal education.
At best, they are graduates from a local madrassa, where the cleric is their ultimate source of information. (2/n)
Most of them are surrounded by their co-religionists 24/7.
They are also obsessed with religious supremacy and delusional ideas about afterlife!
They also have the courage to destroy public property and engage in violence, arson and vandalism.
Whenever RW raised issues such as internal security, culture, nationalism, and illegal immigrantion, we were told that they were 'bigger issues' in India.
Those issues included healthcare, poverty, hunger and of course unemployment.
(1/n)
But ever since the #NupurSharma saga began, the 'usual suspects' have remained fixated on only this topic for weeks now.
What happened to jobs, GDP, poverty and other 'big' issues? They seemed to have disappeared in thin air.
(2/n)
They are no longer worried about rising fuel prices too. This is interesting, isn't it?
Is it because a big issue can wait as long as their 'bigger issue' (Religion in this case) is on the cards?
Why this privilege has never been accorded to you?

The woman in this picture is a USA-based activist named Thenmozhi Soundararajan.
Renowned for her anti-Brahmin views, she was scheduled to speak at Google in April this year.
Her talk was however cancelled by the tech giant, fearing division and rancour in the workplace.

She is the Executive Director of an organisation named Equality Labs.
Be it anti-farm law agitation, peddling hysteria about a 'Muslim genocide' or crying foul over the abrogation of Article 370, the propaganda of Equality Labs is out there for everyone to see.
(2/n)
Thenmozhi Soundararajan had cried 'foul' after Parag Agrawal was made the Twitter CEO.
She had referred to Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey as 'White cis-man' who supposedly had no qualms about passing the baton to a 'Brahmin cis-man'.
