MUMBAI NEEDS METRO!
But India haters (disguised as environment activists) don't want you to know the facts about #AareyForest & #MumbaiMetro3
No need trolling bollywood actors who get trapped by the falsehood propagators!
I share facts in this thread:
Faketivists know that 'in the celebration of being a celebrity, its important to feel passionate about environmental concerns.'
So, they use the soft target (Bollywood actors) to obstruct every high importance infra project.
Aam Janata mock/troll them. Real culprits hide behind.
More than 3000 people DIE on Mumbai rails every year. ALMOST 8 EVERYDAY!
Faketivists never protest to make travel human for millions of working-class citizens of Mumbai - who travel Borivali to Churchgate, Dombivili to Byculla in insanely crowded locals everyday, suffer the most.
For its size and population Mumbai deserved a full-fledged metro 5 decades back.
A detailed study (alternative mass transit systems - efficient, economic, and environment-friendly) by Maha Govt through MMRDA was carried out TWO DECADES back.
Concluded: #MumbaiMetro3 IS VITAL.
The money for this project is being borrowed from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (50%), State Govt (16%), Central Govt (14%), and others. The #MumbaiMetro master plan was ready in 2012.
The Japanese Agency must be laughing at us.
Any development project of this scale requires calculated deforestation.
STUNNING, that in less time, Australia finished the Oceania-Sydney Metro, Beijing finished constructing the world's largest airport, we took to decide how many trees it would need to cut.
SEVEN YEARS!
And the irony is that the same Bollywood celebrities would share pictures of the same Daxing International Airport and Oceana Metro on their Instagram, asking - 'WHY CAN'T WE HAVE IT IN INDIA?
We can! If you people allow!
#MumbaiMetro3
#Aarey is a vast area that includes protected forest and eco-sensitive zones. The place which the #MumbaiMetro3 Project is going to use comes under none of these. After considering all options (cost-environment concerns), it was concluded the best option. Ratified by all Courts!
Faketivists went to court, it ruled in State Govt's favor. The Green Tribunal gave a go ahead. Then the SC also said it is a non-forest land, and gave verdict in State Govt's favor, but advised to take recommendations from Tree Authority to plant more Trees.
#MumbaiMetro3
The fact is that the #MumbaiMetro3 Project will mitigate 2.5 Lakh metric tons of Carbon Footprint every year. But #Faketivists concerned for environment protection expect 2700 trees to clean up all their dirty emissions and not the carbon-neutral mass rapid transport that does.🤦‍♂️
Why should Govt leave a and owned by itself and buy land from private owners costing 5-6KCrores and make #MumbaiMetro3 a non-feasible project? Who do these #Faketivists want to actually help?
Their sponsors?
The proposed #MumbaiMetro3 shed is 30 hectares.
The Film City is 210 hectares.
It was fine to destroy the "green lungs" of Mumbai, but Metro is an environmental hazard when millions of ordinary middle-class citizens will benefit from this mass public transit project?
Or, is this activism because the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) has asked the Film City in their last letter (August 2019) to return 51 acres of forest land that was transferred to it through scheming in 1969 and the massive land scam that has unearthed?
#MumbaiMetro3
Out of 4.8 Lakh trees in Aarey, 2000 odd are NOT the only lung left in the whole city!
The Fadnavis Govt had planted more than 240 million trees in 3 years. The #MumbaiMetro3 will only decrease the net Carbon footprint. Helping the project sail through smoothly benefits everyone.
