VIDEO THREAD: Tonight as riot police gathered against protesters demanding justice for #JaylandWalker outside Akron PD, activists counted to 63 for the number of bullet injuries Walker sustained.
Officers declared unlawful assembly and tear gassed them away from the police HQ.
A couple blocks from the Akron Police HQ, activists set a dumpster on fire, leading to a stalemate where riot cops watched the protesters from across the street, with traffic flowing (and some burning garbage) in between the two sides.
Police then had several cruisers drive near the protesters with their sirens blaring, which mostly failed to push the protesters away.
Some threw objects, including firecrackers, at the police vehicles.
Ultimately, riot cops pushed into the middle of the remaining protesters, splitting them in two.
They tear gassed the side (more people) opposite where I ended up filming from, but wind blew the gas into my side as well.
By the time I got around to there, most had dispersed.
Here is my full @N2Sreports footage of tonight's faceoff between riot police and activists demanding justice for #JaylandWalker in Akron, Ohio.
As always, all footage is available for networks etc to license.

VIDEO THREAD: Yesterday, July 4, activists demanding Joe Biden declare a "Climate Emergency" blocked traffic on he beltway in Maryland, just outside DC.
One agitated driver got physical with them while saying that he's on parole and could return to prison if late for his job.
As police including Maryland State Troopers arrived, the apparent parolee agitated at the activists blocking traffic got more physical, including with activist @GuidoReichstad1 and even @T_Jones_Media, who filmed this footage for @N2Sreports.
Police took their time preparing to arrest the activists blocking the highway, but had warned drivers not to assault the protesters.
As the shirtless parolee who claimed he could go back to jail for being late continued confronting them, police arrested and carried him away.
One still unanswered question: Why did police try to pull over #JaylandWalker in the first place?
They've said "equipment" and "traffic violations" without expanding on what that means, and the bodycams shown start as chase is already happening.
Akron Police Chief Stephen Mylett, in response to question from me yesterday, couldn't confirm if any video exists of police first trying to pull over Walker.
No dashcam footage, bodycams start during chase. The actual cause of all this may not be on video at all.
Tonight activists with @ArmInArm_DC, @ShutDown_DC and @xr_dc_ held a "Tour of Shame" protesting and chalking outside the homes of Republican senators they hold responsible for confirming the justices that ruled against the EPA today.
The coalition of environmental protesters then went to the DC home of Senator @BenSasse tonight who they called "Yet another senator - shocker of shockers - who takes an enormous amount of money from corporations and the fossil fuel industry in order to do their bidding."
The protesters tonight then marched to the home of @JimInhofe who they call the "King of Climate Deniers."
"Action not snowballs!" they chanted as they wrote messages outside his house in chalk, referencing a 2015 speech where he held a snowball to criticize environmentalists.
Protesters returned Monday evening to Justice Alito's house to chant and march up and down his street. However, their message was not only to the court itself.
"Spineless, gutless Democrats!" they chanted. "Expand the fucking court!"
"Alito is a coward! A little baby coward!"
As protesters departed last night from Justice Alito's house, one of his neighbors confronted them for using the "f-word."
"We just lost our rights" one replied. "I will say whatever the fuck I want."
"Fuck off, fascists!"
"Alito is a fascist!"
