First of all, the only thing more predictable than deflecting from white supremacy with "Don't Black Lives Matter" and "But what about Chicago" is if he would have included something about rap music or a quote from MLK about being colorblind.

But it's a good question overall.

For instance, when the pandemic affected the white economy in 2020 (the last year for which we have crime stats) white-on-white violence was suddenly higher than Black-on-Black crime.

But notice, you didn't hear white people asking about white-on-white crime

And Black people didn't either (Ok, there was that white-on-white violence on Jan. 6 but that was an exception)

Maybe Black people know that crime is a socio-economic phenomenon and has more to do with education, resources & poverty.

Why don't D'whights know that?

Because if they actually cared about Black-on-Black crime, instead of deflecting from white supremacy with "ButWhatAbout..." they'd point out the fact that, EVEN WHEN YOU ADJUST FOR POVERTY, majority-white districts get better-funded schools than than Black school districts,

If they cared about Black-on-Black crime, they'd care about the fact that Black workers are paid less than white workers with the same education & experience.

But here's a secret that you need to know:

All those things whites contend that Black people need to do is just a way to deflect away from the violence of white supremacy

The education gap does NOT EXPLAIN the wage gap. The unemployment rate can't explain the wealth gap. 2-parent homes don't explain economic disparity

I'd accept their advice if they could point to a time or place where we were offered equal pay, an equal education system & equal opportunity but Black folks collectively said: "Nah, I like poverty."

Either they are lying or they don't know what they're talking about.

But here's the other thing:

Black folks ARE TAKING THAT ADVICE.

Black families contribute MORE of their wealth and time to communities.

But if there are countless Black organizations, activists, nonprofits etc dedicated to curbing violence in Black communities, where does this rhetoric come from?

Well, it's simple. White people DON'T KNOW SHIT about Black communities bc white people live around white people.

But if you doubt me, here is an experiment I loved to tell my students when they asked about Black Lives Matter or brought up Chicago. You can do it yourself.

Go to @eventbrite or FB's event page & search your city (or a nearby metro area) for "Stop the violence event"

Now do the same for "Black Lives Matter event"

I can almost guarantee that there are more Black organizations dedicated to ending violence than there are for protesting violence.

So why aren't they successful?

Well here's your answer:

BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL THE SAME THING.

There is no difference between the people protesting to end state violence and the people trying to improve their communities. They KNOW it's an economic issue. They know both issue require dismantling SYSTEMS. They are all ONE THING.

But there's another part to this experiment

Go to the same platforms, find the whitest town near you, or simply a town that is more than 75 percent white.

Now do a search for "Stop white supremacy" and tell me how many white-led organizations you find addressing that issue.

Now when I did it for Chicago, I was only able to find 591 scheduled events in Chicago dedicated to ending violence.

When I used the same parameters to search for “stop white supremacy” I found….

Hold up…

Ok, nothing there but when you look up “end white supremacy” you’ll find…

My bad. Still no white organizations.

But there if you search for “fight racism, you’ll surely see that white organizations are..

Goddamnit!

This can’t be right!

There are more white people in Chicago than Black people, so if they are so worried about Black on ablack crime, surely they are trying to do something about it!

If not, then VDARE & ppl whining about Chicago would be just perpetuating a racist trope!

Also, besides Fox News, is there a secret statistical outlet that only white people can access? Because, if mainstream media isn’t reporting on violence in Chicago, how does EVERY white person manage to keep a running tally?

Wait.. I think we just answered VDARE’s question.

Maybe MSM doesn’t report on black on Black crime because they are actually being objective.

Maybe they’re just waiting for VDARE (and ALL the organizations who claim to love America bc “all lives matter”) to start a conversation about racial terrorism & white on white crime
