Solve problems quickly. If you let things fester, the situation may become too overwhelming for you.
You don't need to save everyone. One human life is precious enough. And the person you save may be the one to rescue the nation.
You are bigger than your location. You are a human being and not limited to tribe, country or continent. The world is your stage.
May you escape poverty. So you can focus on something more than your escape.
There's a level of excellence you cannot aspire to in a nation that's steeped in corruption. In a functional country, justice must be swift. Consequence must exist.
A nation is not created by happenstance. It must be deliberately shaped by architects.

Remember I mentioned the currency of Nigeria is power? Think of rally numbers in the same way. It's a show of people power. That's why you need to show that your candidate has physical supporters on the ground.
What successful rallies signal to the powers that be is: 1. You have potential voters & supporters 2. You know how to do grassroots mobilization 3. You have money to mobilize. This is because rallies and mobilization cost money - buses, placards, t-shirts, stomach infrastructure
This in turn leads to more financial supporters who want to hedge their bets by supporting all serious candidates. Also leads to more political supporters who see you as a possible tool/partner.
There's a level of innovation that comes from making life easier for people. But the industries that make the most money also give people cultural permission to enjoy easier lives.
This is because a lot of societies deify work, hustle and hardness. In doing so, they inadvertently minimize different approaches to productivity or even other kinds of work - intellectual, for instance.
A good example of an industry that makes money from ease is home cooked meals in Africa. Those who cook for and deliver soups to others who choose not to cook.
The central premise of Christianity/belief in a supreme God appears to be that man is created in the image of that supreme God.
This confers fundamental human dignity on mankind. Without that, we would be bound by situational culture and morality e.g belief in slavery in some cultures. Morality would always shift from place to place and from culture to culture.
My challenge is that Christianity/belief in God depends on the interpretion of Christianity/belief. Because the early Jews had no problem holding a belief in God and slavery in the same mind. Early Christians also had no problem holding genocide and Christianity in the same mind.
#CollisionConf by @CollisionHQ is very useful for any startup that's looking to raise capital or scale globally. I encourage you to register for the next one. I like the investor-startup "dates" where you have 30 minutes of real face time with investors.
There are 2-minute pitch sessions on stage where you can sell your product to investors. There are mentor hours to ask VCs anything in a small group. There are random conversations you can have with anyone wearing an investor badge.
Finally, there's the app where you can scan & save contacts you meet, download start up pitch decks and book quick meetings in dedicated lounges.
After many years of a corporate career and a few years of entrepreneurship, I can safely say I have met only a few people who are genuinely serious. Serious about their careers, what they are building or other people.
Too many folks say things they don't really mean. They forget things easily. They are very careless. They do not learn from mistakes.
That's why I am very surprised when I meet a serious person who is struggling with income or finding a job. I'm like, "Do you know how fucking rare you are? Do you know how many companies need your level of intensity and detail?"
On #GenZ work culture - as you are making choices, others, including organizations are making choices too. For every action there is a reaction. So as you are doing you, please respect other people's right to do them too. Namaste. 🙏🏾
That said, kindness and respect are human values. They are non-negotiable at work and at home. So are hardwork, commitment, discipline and responsibility.
I think the problem in many workplaces is communication and understanding. Set clear expectations. If you need to shift the goal post in the event of business emergencies, don't take the sacrifice for granted or assume it. Ask.
