🌊Hey there, Democratic Diaspora ––

Is your hometown or home state a place you left for love, or opportunity, or intolerance for your identity or political leanings?

1/
Cool. Then "go home" virtually and get involved for the 2022 election. All of us can help remind friends and family back home to register to vote and to spread the good word about the Dem candidates.

2/
Where, you ask?

Let's take a look at the U.S. Senate seats up for re-election in November.

I cannot sugarcoat it. Due to the Radical Roberts Court, we are in dire straits. But it's not hopeless.

1/
It's like the movie Apollo 13 when the astronauts were headed back to earth after a failed moon landing. And, it took Ed Harris and team at NASA to return that ship safely to earth. We are all Ed Harris. We are all Tom Hanks. We are all watching at home.

2/
There's a difference though. saving our Democracy and restoring our rights does not involve solving a complicated physics or engineering problem or thoughts and prayers.

Wow! On January 2 Rudy told Cassidy Hutchinson Trump and team were going to the Capitol on the 6th. Cassidy asked her boss about it and he said "There's a lot going on Cass. Things might get real real bad."

She said today, "That was the first moment I remember feeling scared." Image
Also, huge is that in discussions about Proud Boys, they knew the target was Congress.
OMG. AR-15 near ellipse. Glock-style pistols in area on January 6.

We are listening to police radio about "elevated threat" in tree. And at 14th and Independence. Image

💯 Want voters? Then @POTUS and @SenSchumer, tell us what you will do with 2 more Dem senators:

1. Lift filibuster to repeal the Hyde amendment

2. Lift filibuster to restore abortion rights.

3. Provide free abortion pills for medication abortion via insurance and Medicaid
Please, please, please do this. It is not enough to say that the problem is Sinema and Manchin. It’s not enough to tell people just vote harder. Yes, I will vote, but to turn people out in numbers we need to win, you must tell us why you need those seats.
❗️This is what I’m talking about! Thank you @SenWarren

“Today, for the first time in constitutional history” SCOTUS “took a fundamental constitutionally protected right away from half the population, a right around which generations of women and families have ordered their lives”

slate.com/news-and-polit…
“Make no mistake, the same court that just 24 hours earlier had determined that the decision to carry a gun on the streets is such an essential aspect of personal liberty that states may not be permitted to regulate it . . .”
“has now declared that decisions about abortion, miscarriage, contraception, economic survival, child-rearing, and intimate family matters are worthy of zero solicitude. None.”
