JC got cursed somewhere during WWX's 13 years of sleep.

JC had now a Ranma 1/2-esque problem in which he'd poof into JC meimei occasionally.

Like, a literal meimei. He'd be a young girl slightly younger than JL.

It was such a big problem because he lost the majority of his power too. His golden core would revert into that of a 13 y.o. girl.

So naturally YMJ kept it a secret. They didn't even plan to tell JL initially, until one day JC poofed in front of JL after the kid got injured when he played in the lake.

Oh, yeah. The trigger was distress. Do you know how anxiety-inducing that is?? JC was practically a walking

stress bomb!

... And that was part of the reasons he hunted down dcs--to let out some steam. But I digress.

Anyway, YMJ kept it a secret.

At first, they kept JC meimei within the walls of LP, but the more the sect grew the harder it became.

JC was just too busy.

Even with his SIC and trusted advisors ready to fill in, there were just matters JC had to tend with his own hands.

And so, they announced the "little lady Jiang" as JC's successor, the secret daughter JC got out of wedlock.

It was such a HUGE scandal, but eventually jianghu was too miffed by Sandu Shengshou's reputation to do anything about it.

It didn't help that the Little Lady was just as unhinged as her father, according to the few people who had the misfortune to meet her. She was literally

the mini version of SDSS.

(Oh, if only they knew).

And so, the years passed.

Jiang-zongzhu was known to occasionally send his "daughter" in his place. The young girl had as much of an authority as her dad, which raised some eyebrows & made some delicious talks in the backroom,

but eh, how one chose to raise their daughter was not another's business. If one day the girl would coup her half-insane father, maybe jianghu would get some benefits too.

(Oh, if only they knew).

And then, WWX came back.

The second time he met JL, at the man-eating castle, it wasn't JC who captured him--it was this
fierce little lady, who glared /down/ on him despite only being as tall as his chest.

When JL told him she was his cousin, WWX almost fainted.

Anyway.

WWX's comeback caused so much repressed distress in JC that he poofed into JC meimei more often than he had been since he got cursed.

His disciples got worried, JC felt ashamed for making his disciples worry and became more distressed and poofed more OFTEN.

After the core reveal, JC used all his strength to hold back his transformation as he confronted WWX one last time.

After WWX left, JC poofed into meimei, passed out of exhaustion.

And he couldn't revert back.

WWX came back from his elopement to find Little Lady Jiang became the official temporary leader of YMJ.

When WWX asked where her father was, little lady only said that her father was "indisposed".

Behind her angry mask, her eyes looked very sad.

JC in his meimei skin: *is super sad about the whole core mess*

WWX, seeing that 🥺😡 look: Jiang Cheng's daughter is ... Sad?? Why is she sad?? Is JC ok?? What does she mean by indisposed is he dyi--

Bonus:

LJY would ABSOLUTELY be smitten with the lil fiery lady.

She was so un-ladylike, sure, and spoiled as heck by her less-than-exemplary father, and her cultivation was so-so (though she had a flawless technique to make up for it).

But, you know

She kinda cute😳

JC had a complicated feeling about his situation. In one hand, and most of the times, he saw it as a nuisance. Yet another shortcomings of his that YMJ had to bear.

But on the other hand, when he played the role of the Little Lady, he heard how people talked about

"her over-indulgent father". For once, he was not the kid who wasn't favored by his own father. He was the kid who was so spoiled, so beloved and trusted that "she" could sit at "her" father's throne and played his role in full.

For once, even in a lie, he was a father's most

cherished child.

And JC guiltily found himself reveling in that feeling.

*cue JC acting like a bratty da-xiaojie sometimes, just to feel the exhilaration of being a spoiled child who would never disappoint "her" father, who was so assured of "her" father's protection*

Sooner or later, JC in his meimei suit would have to attend a night hunt with:

- an overprotective nephew who had for some reason become so cozy on reffering to himself as "gege"

- an Ouyang boy who kept making awkward forced advances toward him (poor child, JC had received

proposals for his "daughter" through the yeras and Bailing Ouyang was one of the most insistent. Ouyang-zongzhu must've ordered his kid to flirt with Little Lady Jiang 🙄)

- a noisy Lan boy who kept picking a fight with him for some reason?? If he didn't like a "lady" to go

with their team JC could go home, he got paperwork to do!! But whenever JC said he'll just stay behind the Lan kid got angrier?? Made it made sense!

- the other Lan kid who was fine & nice & JC actually enjoyed his company, except that LSZ kept shoving him to LJY. Hm.

Kid had a secret hobby to watch people fight, huh? Oddball.

- Hanguang-jun, who stood there creepily at the precinct like a tree 🧍‍♂️

- WWX. Who was being his usual self-sacrificing hero-conplex self, fussing around the "Little Lady", sheltering him from the boys,

giving him food, etc etc treated him like a princess because "you're JC's daughter and he'll have my head if you got hurt on my watch, haha."

Tch.

So that was how WWX viewed him, huh? Just a violent man and nothing more ....

JC, after listening to WWX talking about his "dad"*: *meimei face sad*

WWX, internally: STUPID FCKING DONKEY BRAIN WEI YING, WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABT JC?? DIDN'T WE GO NIGHT HUNTING TO DISTRACT LIL JIANG FROM THE THOUGHTS OF HER AILING DAD???

WWX: Don't worry, you father will be fine! JC is strong!

JC meimei: hm.

WWX: and YMJ healers are the best!

JC meimei, not wanting to burden WWX: YOU don't worry. He (me) is not in any pain. If the healers can't find a way (to cure me), I'll continue to lead YMJ, so--

WWX, bursting into tears: you unfilial child!! How could you say that about your own father?? Jiang Cheng will heal and I will make sure if it over my ded fcking b---😭😭😭😭😭

Just like JC meimei would slip up some un-ladylike behavior, normal JC would also have some slip up and acted ladylike.

It was subtle. His mannerism would turn gentler, his choice of words more delicate.

And other sl be like:

Jiang zhongzhu 😳😳 pwetty 😳😳

The only people who fully throved in this situation were YMJ seamstresses, who very much had the time of their lives dressing up their zongzhu twice as much, trying out entirely different styles to enhance his tiny waist 🥰🥰🥰

Love how JC meimei ver. would say, "my father would hear about this" which means "i'm gonna whoop your asses once i revert back" but everyone else only hears the spoiled tattletale Little Lady Jiang being a spoiled brat.

This also meant that when LJY goaded the meimei, he gonna say things like, "what, you gonna tell your a-die about this?"

JC, not thinking the kid's mischief worth his time, "no."

LJY, thinking meimei was giving him a special treatment, "oh." 😳
