In Deoghar, it’s Diwali in monsoon as people light diyas to celebrate the arrival of Prime Minister @narendramodi who will be inaugurating big projects, among them a spanking new airport built in record time and world class AIIMS Deoghar on 12 July.

PM @narendramodi laid the foundation stone of Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand on 25 May 2018. The airport is ready and set to become fully operational in 4 years. It will be the second international airport in #Jharkhand after Ranchi.

PM @narendramodi ’s visionary policies for the rapid development of #India with world class facilities is exemplified by the Deoghar Story. Before 2014, India had 74 airports. Within 7 years, 66 new airports have been established — almost 10 a year.
n3
PM @narendramodi ’s innovative UDAN scheme has so far resulted in more than 420 routes being operationalised. More than 1 lakh 79 thousand flights have flown under UDAN, immensely benefiting Hilly States, the North-Eastern region, and Islands.
n4
PM @narendramodi laid the foundation of AIIMS Deoghar on 25 May, 2018. The setting up of the new AIIMS at Deoghar will help achieve the dual purpose of providing super-speciality health care and helping create a large pool of doctors and health workers in this region.
n5
When PM @narendramodi took office in 2014, there were only 7 AIIMS. During the last eight years, 16 AIIMS have been approved. Out of these 16 AIIMS, MBBS classes and OPD services have started in 10 new AIIMS. Limited IPD services have also been operationalized in 6 AIIMS.

CAG report on Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health Services says about @ArvindKejriwal ’s much touted ‘Kejriwal Health Model’:
Dire status of Mohalla clinics — 21 Aam Admi Mohalla Clinics did not have toilets, 15 did not have a power backup, 6 did not have any table for check-up and 12 did not have accessibility for the physically disabled.
Similar was the situation of the AYUSH dispensaries, with 17 of the 49 inspected dispensaries having no power backup, 7 having no toilets and 14 having no facility for drinking water.

Under utilisation of funds received under Emergency #Covid19 Response Plan, showing apathy towards public in crisis.
‼️Gross mismanagement during COVID19 despite availability of funds — Only Rs 582.84 crore of the total Rs 787.91 crore released by the Centre for tackling COVID19 were utilised.
‼️Significant among the underutilisation of funds released under several heads was the expenditure over Human Resources. Rs 30.52 crore of the total Rs 52 crore released for the same remained unutilised, demonstrating under-payment to health staffs and lower deployment of health workers for this purpose.
‼️Also, Rs 83.14 crore of the released Rs 119.85 crore for drugs and supplies including PPE and masks remained unutilised, which clearly illustrates a deliberate inaction towards a severe shortage of medical infrastructure during the COVID19 period, tantamount to criminal negligence.

Non-enhancement of beds in Delhi Government hospitals:
‼️Against the budget announcements in the four budget years from 2016-17 to 2020-21 of adding 32,000 beds, only a miniscule 1357 beds ( 4.24% of the budget announcement) were added.
‼️Percentage of bed occupancy ranges from 101% to 189 % in nine hospitals, and from 109% to 169% in other seven hospitals. This indicates that either more than one patients were accommodated on single beds or patients were made to lie on floors.
“राम मंदिर निर्माण की यह प्रक्रिया राष्ट्र को जोड़ने का उपक्रम है। यह महोत्सव है… नर को नारायण से जोड़ने का, लोगों को आस्था से जोड़ने का, अतीत को वर्तमान से जोड़ने का, और, स्व को संस्कार से जोड़ने का।”
~ प्रधान मंत्री @narendramodi
One of the phrases used by some of us ESP during the #Ayodhya Movement was:
‘Past imperfect, future tense.’
How would one translate the popular slogan, heard everywhere during the #Ayodhya Movement, ‘Garv se kaho hum Hindu hain’ into English for the benefit of the ESP and the grammar nazis who read The Statesman?
What is the real nature of the recovery of #India 's economy laid low by the #COVID19 pandemic? Where does #Bharat stand in the post-pandemic world? Are carping critics and Cassandras right? Or should they simply zip their lips and sit tight?
Here is a🧵on the latest State Bank of India Research Report, Debunking K-Shaped Recovery, released on 8 January 2024.
[Text is directly quoted from the report.}

>Consumption of the bottom 90% of the population has increased by Rs 8.2 trillion post-pandemic;
>Income inequality has declined significantly from 0.472 TO 0.402 during FY14-FY22;
>36.3% of taxpayers has moved from lower income to higher income tax bracket;
>This has resulted in 21.3% additional income;
>19.5% of small firms have transitioned into larger firms through MSME value chain integration;
>15% are women taxpayers:
>20 million urban family members are consuming food through Zomato from semi-urban area.

❑The oft repeated conundrum debating a K-shaped recovery post-pandemic seems at best flawed, incomplete, ill-concocted analysis and fanning interests of select quarters to whom India’s remarkable ascendance, signaling more the renaissance of the new global south, is perhaps unpalatable.
