2/ I am pro-life, but I will admit that the old school pro-choice activists used to at least akcnowledge that a woman's ability to get pregnant was an amazing, life-changing power. Abortion was a wrong and misguided way to reckon with that power.
All this has changed...
3/ The left no longer acknowledges the amazing life giving power of birth belongs to *WOMEN.* They describe who can get pregnant in ever more abstract Jargon like "birthing people," or "those capable of pregnancy."
And there is a DEEP reason why this is destructive to the left:
4/ For the left abortion was, at one time, a women's issue thst should be "legal, safe, and rare."
That formulation at least acknowledged that abortion was a heavy issue, and pregnancy an awesome and amazing power that we all need to take very, very, seriously....
5/ Now the left talks about "pregnant men," and "birthing bodies." This absurd nonsense signals a fundamental unseriousness toward the awesome, amazing, life-creating power of *WOMEN.*
Now, people no longer trust the left to take the awesome power of pregnancy seriously...
6/ And *WOMEN* who are considering having kids are looking at all this absurd 🤡🌎 nonsense and thinking "these democrats and leftists really do not take seriously the fact that our bodies, the bodies of *WOMEN* have the capacity to quite literally produce human beings."
7/ People may get clobbered in debates by leftisits because of language games and jargon the left uses...but at a fundamental level everyone sees the left is engaging in absurd nonsense, and they just can't build up the energy to defend leftists who don't take pregnancy seriously
8/ People are unwilling to sacrifice their time, energy, and money in order to supports leftists who won't even acknowledge what a woman is, or what an awesome power and responsibility pregnancy is....even if they agree with the left that abortion should be legal.
And *THAT*....
9/ Is why there will be no backlash from Roe V. Wade.
Wokeness is catching up with Dems electorally...let's see what they do about that.

@ostrachan disagrees with Rachel Delhollanders interpretation, and this woman decides to use a quote Owen made about how Ravi Zacharias "could have been him" (Owen meant that he, like everyone, is sinful and capable of evil) to insinuate Owen is like Ravi Zacharias
Her goal here is nothing more than to smear @ostrachan by using a misinterpretation of what Owen said so she can insinuate that Owen is morally like Ravi Zacharias.
This is gross, ugly, disgusting, underhanded stuff
The lesson here is to never ever expect better from followers of Christ. They are, and I cannot stress this enough, no better than atheists.
Fwiw, I happen to think scripture is ambiguous as to the social mechanics at play here. It is not explicit about whether or not...
This is a deep misunderstanding of the life of David.
David failed nearly every step along the way.
- going to Ziklag
- seeking to Kill Nahum (until Abigail intervened)
- lying and getting the preists of the Lord Killed at Nob
David was always sinning and lying and messing up. The thing that saves David and makes him "the man after God's own heart" is that he REPENTED.
David's repeatedly repents and turns back the the lord when he fails. THAT is what makes him the man after God's own heart...
The entire whether it is strengthening himself in the Lord after the tragedy at Ziklag or saying "better to fall into the hands of God than the hands of men" after he counted the fighting men when the Lord said no...David ALWAYS repented and returned to the Lord.
There isn't a single person with the social status and moral authority to stand up tp woke ideology and remain in good standing in cultural spaces and institutions.
All who stand up to wokness pay a price. Even JK Rowling was shunned and not invited to the Harry Potter reunion.
The way to break the woke lock on culture is to destroy the prestige, credibility, clout, and power of the spaces and institutions that advance woke ideology.
Those institutions and spaces must pay both a social and a financial cost, and we must "take the shine off" those spaces
Right now the access to cultural capitol in music, movie, television and the arts runs through companies and institutions that are producing wokeness, and all the existing prestigious intelectual property is in the hands of woke creatives and their managers and funders...
1/ This is secular spirituality in a postmodern world.
Since the world is socially constructed; the world is created by discourse, not by God. This is a person making an offering (a tiktok post) to their creator (the discourse) during a time of great sorrow...
2/ Because we live in postmodernity, people think *everything* is entirely socially constructed and if the world is created by society using language, which means the world is built using words that exlress ideas, thoughts, ideologids, dreams, goals, and so on...
3/ That means the "world" as it's understood to be constructed is not an unintentional brute reality, but it's filled with and interwoven with thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and dreams If you graft our natural human propensity for spirituality on to that understanding of the world...
The thread and essays I write are time consuming and research intensive. I do them for free, and I will continue to make them available for free so they can be easily shared and spread. I want as many people as possible to read them.
What I will do for paid subscribers is...
Q and A videos where I answer questions from paid subscribers, and I will make available the video series that I am doing where I teach wokeness, postmodernism, and critical theory top to bottom. For those of you who like to watch and listen as much as read, this is for you!
1/ The way to defeat wokeness is not by adopting their tactics or threading the needle to go around them.
It's to lean into the unpopularity of wokeness, and take actions to clear wokeness out of people's lives while using rhetoric that asserts wokeness has no moral highground
2/ Do not run from wokeness, tale it head on.
"We will remove Critical Race Theory training from government, and we will no longer accept contract with companies that do Critical Race Theory training" is a start. This attacks wokeness head on and does so in a way people can see.
3/ Getting wokeness out of goverent also:
A. takes prestige away from wokeness by removing the social boost it gets from official government approval.
B. Denies resources to wokeness by cutting off the supply of woke diversity training consulting contracts.
