Well, we have heard from our sources who attended. The heavily partisan puritanical extremist group #MomsForLiberty held their sham forum last night on our public school grounds. Surprising no one, the audience was almost entirely without exception-religious white cis gendered🧵

Representing one demographic of our community. Only four candidates participated. Unsurprisingly, candidates for whom MFL has shown public support. While insisting that this was a non-partisan secular event, only one party was represented and a Christian prayer began the event ✝️

There were standout moments of calling books filth, speaking in fear based vague coded themes of ‘losing our representative government’, more SSO officers. Heavy on right wing Christian nationalist rhetoric, low on substantive policy ideas.

In attendance, their preferred candidates included Larry Grohn who is under fire for recently remarking that ‘having a goal for all “colored students” to attend college is unproductive and unrealistic’.

Another stand out amongst their preferred candidates is Virginia Anne Manson, your friendly mom and January 6th insurrection attendee! She got to attend on a private plane. Certainly she has a firm understanding on what working class families need in public school. ✈️✝️

Afterwards, #MomsForLiberty congratulated themselves that nothing overtly racist, homophobic, or transphobic was said at their forum. 🙄👏

As though what they’ve repeatedly posted publicly doesn’t count. Screenshots are forever gals. And we’re saving them all.

You see we can decipher your dog whistles and coded language. We know when you call books ‘filth’, you mean anything affirming LGBQT life. We know when you talk about losing representative government, you’re talking about a ‘stolen election’.

We know when you evoke Christian nationalism, you’re talking about erasure theory. But we also know you’re not going to say those things while news cameras are rolling. You say them in private, but your actions tell on you every time.

You do not support our schools, you do not support our teachers, and you sure as hell don’t care about our kids. This was an ugly day in Hamilton County, and a serious misstep on the part of our school district for allowing it to happen. 😡@hamcoschools
