1] #MorningReflection.

This submission below, by mukoma D. Mwonzora, leader of the smaller MDC-T faction makes for a very sad reading in as far as our democracy & the 2023 elections are concerned.

There are three issues raised by mukoma Dougie, that are particularly striking.
2] Firstly, mukoma Dougie makes the dangerous claim that Abigail Mohadi, was shortlisted by Parliament, on the basis of her qualifications for the ZEC Commissioners' post.

Put differently, mukoma Mwonzora is communicating that the lady in question is qualified for the job.
3] What's concerning about this assertion is that it's all propaganda.

It would've been fair, for mukoma Mwonzora, to react authoritatively, to how Abigal Mohadi actually performed during the interview, particularly because her below par performance is now in the public domain.
4] It's completely disingenuous for mukoma Dougie, to maintain that Abigail Mohadi was qualified for the post (perhaps on the basis of her education).

After an interview, being 'qualified', means way more than what's shown on your documentation.
DM, an ex lecturer, knows this.
5] vaMwonzora, further gives the impression that MDC-T had no objection to Abigal Mohadi being added on the final shortlist, which Mr EDM eventually chose Commissioners from.

Logic follows that mukoma DM was impressed by Abigal's well published inability to answer any question.
6] In as far as qualifications are concerned, it's clear that Abigal Mohadi found herself on that list of candidates interviewed by Parliament through the SROC, not because of any capacity.

That mukoma Dougie defends this, only exposes his complicity in the ZPF rigging scheme.
7] Secondly, vaMwonzora admits that MDC-T (constituting 30% of the SROC panel), saw concerns over Abigal Mohadi's political affiliations being irrelevant.

He ties himself in a web, a tweet later, claiming MDC-T didn't have enough numbers to presumably veto Mohadi's candidature. ImageImage
8] In a clear case of 'trying to have your cake and eat it too', mukoma Dougie's afterthought makes for a funny reading.

He clearly had no incentive for not supporting a candidate he claims was 'qualified'.
Claiming later, that they had no numbers to resist it, is just escapism.
9] Mukoma Dougie is many things, but he's not stupid.

He understands that by virtue of being a child of a ZanuPF DP, Abigal Mohadi's candidature for the ZEC post is controversial & militates against basic principles of governance

ZEC has enough issues to fix & mukoma knows this
10] The third issue mukoma Mwonzora brings out is deflection, and drawing false parallels.

Mukoma, reminds his audience, that around 2017, Adv Chamisa, P Mutseyami, & Innocent Gonese, sat on a SROC panel that interviewed Priscilla Chigumba.

That's an irrelevant history lesson.
11] Mukoma must be reminded that the issue isn't necessarily about MDC-T (or him personally) being on the SROC panel, interviewing ZEC candidates.

That has always been a common practice.

Issue is on defending the indefensible, as mukoma Dougie is desperately attempting to do.
12] Mukoma Dougie must be reminded that regardless of any reservations MDC-T may or may not have had about Priscilla Chigumba's candidature, to her credit, she actually showed qualifications for the job.

And unlike Abigal, Madam Chigumba wasn't a clear 'controversial' candidate.
13] Whereas it's not his duty to protect CCC's political interests, mukoma Dougie knows that the SROC was constituted to fast-track these interviews at the behest of Mr EDM

In any case, MDC-T as a political creature, is controversially occupying that political space in Parly.
14] The lengths mukoma Dougie is willing to go to justify this controversy, leaves one suspecting what they are benefiting from all this.

Perhaps there isn't any benefit for mukoma, beyond the contradictions of a man conflicted by the outcomes of his political miscalculations.
15] As a side note, I take notice of the questions directed towards CCC, regarding their absence on the SROC committee, particularly when they've been conflicting social media responses by CCC MPs.

Good thing is that Brother Ostallos has officially cleared the air on the issue.
16] I've equally noticed some questions on whether or not, CCC had its own 'people' applying for the ZEC posts, like what ZanuPF clearly does/did.

Perhaps this was/would've been strategic.
A necessary evil.

Whether CCC didn't do this, or did so unsuccessfully, I do not know.
17] However, secretly deploying party members to institutions requiring independent individuals doesn't solve the problem we are trying to fix

The political interests of one party shouldn't supercede the importance of having a functional society.

Don't mistake this for naivety.
18] Anyways, seeing mukoma shamelessly justifying his complicity in entrenching ZanuPF's misgovernance is scary.

A once decorated fighter for constitutionalism, is now unidentifiable.

One wonders if there are more hypocrites still, lying in wait, amongst the citizens👀

enkosi!

1] Just finished once more, watching the @ProfMadhuku interview on @HStvZim, by @bbmhlanga

I've begrudgingly decided to do a short thread response to you, @ProfMadhuku, particularly on some issues I found extremely concerning.

[Interview link below]

fb.watch/egQFOGCtUB/
2] Firstly, I must commend you @ProfMadhuku, for your consistency in being opposed to the current 2013 constitution.

At one point, you even said some unkind words towards Dr MRT regarding the issues.

You've substantiated this dissatisfaction with highlighting it's loopholes. Image
3] It's however ridiculous on your part Prof, to try and shield Mr Mnangagwa from criticism, over his appointment of a controversial ZEC Commissioner, on the basis that he acted within the law, since the shortlist came from our 'multi-party' Parliament.

That's extreme naivety. Image

1] Fellow citizen, i'll do something a bit out of character, and publicly address Adv Nelson Chamisa & @CCCZimbabwe.

Adv Chamisa needs to urgently provide decisive political leadership & galvanize citizens in rejecting the nonsensical appointment of those ZEC Commissioners by ED
2] It can't be business as usual, when Mr EDM, a political competitor, appoints the daughter of his deputy, as an electoral referee.

Already, ZEC's Spokesperson, is Jaspet Mangwana, relative to Mnangagwa's Sec for Legal Affairs & Propagandist, Paul & Nick Mangwana respectively
3] It's equally troubling that the other ZEC Commissioners, Catherine Mpofu & Kudzai Shava, are allegedly related to Mnangagwa long time loyalists, Obert Mpofu & Fredrick Shava.

Add them to the list of ex-military officers currently working for the ZEC secretariat.

1] Fellow citizens, tomorrow is officially #YellowFriday

In the spirit of solidarity, let's play our own little roles, in calling out the continued persecution of CCC MPs, Godfrey Sithole, Job Sikhala, and the #Nyatsime13, arrested after the brutal murder of Moreblessing Ali.
2] In the same vein, let's use #YellowFriday to continue encouraging all eligible voters, to register & vote for change, come 2023

Past developments over the past month especially, have reinforced the desperate need to end the ruinous ZanuPF disaster, calling itself 2nd Republic
3] ZanuPF is clearly unrentling, in its use of lawfare & political persecutions against CCC leaders & supporters, to tighten its grip on the reigns of authority, and resist a democratic change of government.

#Fakapressure, is the only way to respond to these shenanigans.

1] Mukoma @DMwonzora, the whole press conference you had today, is but a reaffirmation of the fact that youre not a significant player, in as far as Zim politics is concerned.

If anything, the whole press statement sounded like your desperate attempt to craw back to relevance.
2] As for the substantive issues you raised, you raised an interesting issue

You claimed that 'councilors are not technical people who understand finer details of such deals'

How do you reconcile this, with the fact that it was your MDC dominated Council, that signed this deal?
3] How does it happen, that your party which supposedly fielded Councilors in 2018, won a majority be in council, wherein they sign deals they don't understand?

What message are you communicating to voters & citizenry of Harare, through this bizarre admission, mukoma @DMwonzora?

1] A short thread....

Eventually got to read Baba Jukwa's story/article on his cite, Kukurigo regarding Fadzayi Mahere's supposed infidelity.

Unsurprisingly, I confirmed two things that were always clear from the get go, when this otherwise useless saga developed.
2] The first issue is that, the agenda is scandalizing CCC, as an institution.

Baba Jukwa couldn't resist the temptation of this interesting headline:
"CCC Spokesperson caught up in a businessman marriage collapse...".

Though it was his prerogative, that choice was deliberate.
3] To further expose how Baba Jukwa is pursuant of an agenda to scandalize CCC, he equally alleges that 'CCC senior leadership is aware of this relationship...'

Once more, he brings the CCC institution into this scandal, & by default, attacks their own individual moral standings

1] Hell hath no fury like a nutty professor...

The Bishop warned those who cared to listen, about these characters.
In return, he was scorned and labeled.
Even some Cde in the alternative cryptically attacked him and those who shared his sentiments, for 'not being accomodative'.
2] Among his many gifts, the Bishop could see lying down, what most of us could never see standing at the peak of Mount Everest

The Bishop also understood the wisdom that anything that happens once, can never happen again. But if it happens twice, it will happen for the 3rd time
3] To once more borrow some ancient wisdom, indeed every saint has a past.

Furthermore, only fools and dead people never change their minds.

That wisdom right there, advices our accomodative attitudes towards some people,,,until they once more, show their chameleonic nature.
