It's always the same few dozen people. Please stop pretending this is something other than a coordinated effort by a bunch of anti-democratic power-horny pro-diddler maniacs who think they alone are entitled to rule the world with impunity.
"And she’s represented by the legal heavyweight James Bopp Jr., who helped dismantle abortion rights, crafted many of the arguments in the Citizens United case that revolutionized campaign finance law and was part of the legal team that prevailed in Bush v. Gore."
I either missed or had forgotten he was involved in Bush v. Gore. So were Roger Stone, Rudy Giuliani, Matt Schlapp, and many other shit-mouth grifters. And Donald Trump ran for president in 2000. Because it's always the same people.
It's not strange so much as it's part of a larger attack that runs on using weaponized disinformation campaigns to leverage all the ills that a dramatically changing climate brings -- such as pandemics -- in order to put the global far right in power, all over the world
That's being done with the blessing and overt help (Cambridge Analytica was just the beginning) of corporations, particularly energy and tech. You can fight it with journalism, academia, unionizing, whatever fights coordinated disinfo campaigns aimed at splitting up social bonds.
An easy way to understand the goal of a weaponized narrative is to look at where it was deployed in the past. For example, the 1950s-era Doctor's Plot has been reappropriated and burnished by antivaxxers and anti-maskers. Here's what it did back then: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
This is a filing from the lawyer for the antimasker and antivaxxer group America's Frontline Doctors, James Bopp, who is currently saying little kids should be forced to bear their rapist's babies. He is not a serious person. bopplaw.com/iu-students-fi…
That his rubbing elbows with far right disinformation purveyors is not being brought up every time someone interviews him on abortion rights is criminal.
The current discourse about being "allowed" to cross state lines is why I made a point of putting this out there a couple of years ago, after months of second-guessing my own experiences. I was concerned that it was going to come for us all.
