Sarasota pastor Randy McLendon ran unsuccessfully for Sarasota County Commission in 2012 as a Tea Party candidate & for Sarasota School Board in 2014, challenging Jane Goodwin. He & his wife are real estate agents in the area. /5

Randy McLendon’s website says he got an undergrad degree at University of Georgia & that he has Master’s in Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. /6

Randy McLendon is a Facebook moderator of Liberty Tree Patriots – Florida group with over 1,000 members. He also has For God & Country Church nonprofit org. The website has strong Christian nationalist themes and symbols. /7

This links to Randy McLendon’s email newsletter dated January 7, 2021, with information that goes back a few weeks before that date. He makes direct references to Dutch Sheets, the NAR leader, as an authority at various points, including recently. /8

Randy McLendon used his email newsletter to rally Trump faithful on Jan. 6 in Englewood, Sarasota County for a Day of Intercession at Englewood Events Center. His email newsletter notes that on Jan. 6 Congress will be meeting for the electoral college vote certification. /9

McLendon says “will fervently pray into this.” He says “will open the Event Center about 8:00am. Congress will convene at 1:00pm. We will be following the rally and the news so that we can all pray into what is happening real time, binding and loosing as the Spirit leads.” /10

In an earlier posting, Randy McLendon refers to the series of election events in Georgia and at the US Capitol as related to “spiritual warfare for our nation.” /11

Randy McLendon says that on January 6, “We know and stand firm on what God's outcome is to be, but as Intercessors, we will stand in agreement with God's purposes and ‘pull the answers through’ and ‘strengthen the hands’ of those who are in the heat of the battle.” /12

On January 7, Randy McLendon wrote in his newsletter that he was “disappointed” with how things turned out the previous day and that he had “put a lot of hope” in Vice President Mike Pence. He blamed violence on Antifa & shared "proof" of election fraud via Sydney Powell. /13

Prior to January 6, Randy McLendon shared information about the Women for Trump Florida buses to Washington DC for the January 6 Big Lie Stop the Steal events. /14

Women for Trump Florida leader is Caroline Wetherington, a Council for National Policy Board of Governors member, who lives in the Sarasota area. She also interacts with NAR figures & themes. /15

Women for Trump Florida pressured to overturn the election by urging supporters to join Big Lie Stop the Steal movement in Georgia & protesting outside Sen. Rick Scott’s home in Naples, Florida to urge him not to certify electoral college votes. /21
