THREAD: Seeing quite a lot of people reporting - often with surprise as they've never interacted before - that disgraced former DHS 'disinfo expert' Nina Jankowicz has blocked them. It would be unsurprising if Amil Khan of Valent Projects gave her a blacklist to work from.
In wake of @MaxBlumenthal and I exposing how Khan and @PaulMasonNews conspired to get The Grayzone deplatformed, he took to Twitter to declare article had primarily been shared by "coordinated networks" of bots and trolls, and that information on these had been passed on...
These charges completely false. Khan was even repeatedly challenged on this nonsense by a supporter of his (in since deleted tweets). Assumed this to be a copium-inspired lie, but no - he truly believed this. And tens of thousands of people will have been put on lists as a result
Note Khan's invocation "information laundering", subject of infamous Scary Poppins video. Good reason to believe Khan and Jankowicz are familiar with one another too, because she sat on advisory board of Open Information Partnership. He is named as part of it in leaked documents
As I wrote for @MintPressNews, Open Information Partnership is a British Foreign Office information warfare operation acknowledged to be a "troll/disinfo factory". mintpressnews.com/uk-propaganda-… Some participating orgs have fascist ties.
It's sinister enough Khan - who has a history of running covert state propaganda campaigns - is compiling info on people online and passing it on to authorities because they shared an article, there is a high risk that many of them will be banned from social media as a result...
Khan's company Valent Projects receives millions from USAID - never been advertised publicly - for tackling 'disinfo' in various countries. In practice this entails approaching Facebook etc posing as independent researchers, and having government critics banned en masse.
A leaked Valent report on "inauthentic behaviour" and "coordinated networks" related to the Ethiopian civil war offers some insight into Khan's research methods. It's difficult to know where to start dissecting the idiocy and insanity contained in it...
For example, Valent identified 150 accounts that used hashtag #NoMore most, and assumed them to be primarily bots, but Botometer didn't validate this. Rather than conceding they were wrong, concluded the bots were in fact so "sophisticated" they escaped detection 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Khan then tracked where these users were based, finding some were in the same place, leading him to conclude a single person was running multiple accounts. In reality, these users just listed a particular city on their profile, not their precise coordinates...
I also make an appearance. Khan claims a thread I posted about him and his company suggested I have
"access to information obtained through espionage/security links". In reality, I just posted things I'd found via search engines, and LinkedIn...
This would be amusing, except a large number of activists, journalists and academics within and without Ethiopia flagged as suspicious/bots by Khan have been permanently suspended, or shadowbanned. This not only damages reputations and livelihoods, but even more sinisterly...
Serves as a tool of regime change. The mainstream media - in particular CNN - was tubthumping for US intervention in Addis Ababa, and whitewashing the brutality of the US-backed TPLF. Were it not for independent reporters and activists challenging this false picture, it is highly
Likely there would've been US boots on the ground eventually. Valent's work also serves to keep corrupt, unpopular, repressive Western-backed regimes in power by silencing legitimate criticism.
As such, Facebook and Twitter must never allow Khan's analysis to influence their decisions ever again, urgently review each and every suspension they have enacted due to Valent's interventions, and reveal what information and 'analysis' has been passed to them by the company.
Addendum: Very striking how many people are finding out they're blocked by Jankowicz as a result of this thread, particularly given many are highly obscure accounts. This is as good as proof Jankowicz was given a list. No way she came across these people organically.

About three years ago Loki Nash and I were trying to arrange legal (and other) assistance for several women who could testify to @NickCohen4's sexually abusive tendencies. We were told by multiple sources that The Guardian explicitly warned new female employees about him.
The picture that emerged from the women we spoke to - who didn't always know or even know of each other - was one of someone completely insulated from repercussions thanks to his peers, the institution behind him, and fear among victims that speaking out would ruin their careers.
One had been openly told by a *friendly* coworker that they were likely to never work in journalism again if they went to management, or even the police. "Literally everyone knows about it, but nothing ever happens," they reportedly said.
Hey @Guardian, can I ask if you sought comment from @AaronJMate before you reiterated unquestioningly the claims of an extremely dubious 'study' produced by an extremely dubious set of self-interested organizations? And why did you change the HL so quickly? Bit libelous?
Interestingly, Eliot Higgins of Bellingcat tweeted out the article under its original headline, then promptly deleted it after it was changed. Almost like the report's release is part of a secretly coordinated campaign targeting @TheGrayzoneNews! Who could be behind it, I wonder?
And oh look, here's irredeemable Peter Jukes using this slanderous garbage to deter British left from Aaron's award-winning reporting. He has previously - and ludicrously - claimed anyone sharing Grayzone's work on Paul Mason is "colluding with Russian sponsored info warfare."
It's not even a new job in Brussels. Andy Pryce was *officially* moved out of CDMD (no doubt at least in part due to #IntegrityInitiative leaks 'burning' him) and simply took up residence in the Foreign Office's super shadowy Counter Disinfo Unit.
On March 3rd Pryce emailed Mason boasting how he'd forced YouTube to remove "Russian stuff". Four days later, CDU's role in this was confirmed by a minister. They added that CDU is run by "experts in assessment and analysis, disinformation, and behaviour and attitudinal change."
It was a uniquely candid disclosure about CDU's nature - at least 69 separate parliamentary questions relating to the unit have been stonewalled since its launch two years ago, and FOIs are reflexively rejected.
This is absolutely outrageous censorship of my friends and colleagues and particularly sinister given I and @TheGrayzoneNews received formal cease and desist orders from @Shoosmiths last week acting on behalf of Emma Briant.
We were warned Briant would seek an injunction against further reporting if we didn't stop forthwith, with costs for securing that to be extracted from me. I was also accused of being directly involved in, if not responsible for, the "hack" of Mason et al. A defamatory lie.
This is disturbing, because Briant and her supporters, including Peter Jukes, have endlessly repeated this libelous accusation of serious criminal activity on my part. The letter also falsely alleged I'd incited "online trolling" against her.
Absolutely intriguing excerpt from Guardian coverage of Cadwalladr/Banks trial. She claims to have "intelligence files from organisation contracted to undertake work countering Russian disinformation in Europe on behalf of a government agency." That would be #IntegrityInitiative.
She appears in their files, of course. When challenged, she claims she merely spoke at event organisation convened. Also used opportunity to further baseless smears/conspiracy theories about @WikiLeaks + Julian Assange colluding with the Kremlin.
It's in this context that her false claims that #IntegrityInitiative "also pushed attacks on the government and the Conservatives", not just Corbyn, become super interesting. This can't have just been her being characteristically foolish or ignorant...
🧵THREAD🧵 (or how Israel wages war on foreign universities): On November 15th @DukeU's student government rescinded recognition of campus group Students Supporting Israel after it publicly targeted another student who said the move meant "my school supports settler colonialism."
The @DukeU SSI chapter (dozens at unis across US) posted screenshot of tweet to its Instagram and attacked her for it, in blatant breach of student government rules, then apologized publicly, then deleted apology, then appealed decision, which was upheld despite "pressure"...
In response, an ACT.IL WhatsApp group, which corrals users to oppose criticism of Israel online + directs them to like/comment on/share pro-Zionist material, yesterday directed its followers to sign a petition calling for SSI’s reinstatement.
