#Zubair#thread
Many questions have been raised on Zubair's identity. Speculation has ranged from Pakistan to Rohingya to Kasab.
I'm going to raise a plausible scenario that isn't any of those.
As you all know, there are no documents identifying Zubair's education, work, birthdate or family before 2012.
So he's practically unknown before then.
So the question arises, if he's such an unknown quantity then why is he so bothered about always hiding his ears in every photograph?
Clue number 1. Zubair's age. His twitter id pic and the other mugshot, both look different enough that I suspect they are forged.
His recent partial photos, though, seem to be of a man in his thirties.
So what could be there in a thirty year old man's history that makes him afraid to reveal his ears?
Keep in mind, it won't be any petty theft kind of issue like pickpocketing. A, the Indian police system doesn't bother to keep such detailed identity records to the extent of morphology of ears, for petty thieves and pickpockets.
And B, if he had been a pickpocket, the leli media would have gone to town with sob stories of his poverty and the hardships that forced him into a sub model citizen life.
Thus we come to clue number 2. The astounding silence of Rajdeep Burkha et al. Remember these are reporters who have interviewed families of Burhan Wani, Gafoora, Sharjeel, and even braved naxal infested forests just to get the "subaltern" point of view.
So, a picture emerges of a man in his thirties, with no history prior to 2012, who has apparently done something so horrific that police was forced to record his identity in full detail, which now forces him to hide his ears.
He has, it seems, committed a crime so heinous that not everyone the most shameless leli journo dares to even uncover his past, let alone try to whitewash him.
Now, think back to 2012. What happened in that year that shook the nation?
Answer in one word: Nirbhaya.
Now think.....
Was there any element of that crime that remained unaccounted for?
Was there, perhaps, a "juvenile" among the rapists, who had to be protected from newspapers, tv channels, and even from justice, at all costs?
Whose claim to state protection was so strong that none of us has ever seen his face?...
A juvenile who, was not only spared punishment but given complete state sponsored rehabilitation and a new life and new identity at no one knows where??
Do you remember the reports that circulated then, but were suppressed, about how shoddily his age was determined?
Do you remember the forged tenth standard certificate? The word of nothing but a maulvi?
Do you remember the report that during his "juvenile" detention, he had undergone heavy islamic indoctrination and become completely radicalised?
Do you remember these facts, Mr Fact Checker Zubair??
Because we remember. India remembers. India hasn't forgotten.

@LyfBeginsAt41 I have a theory on this. Our class of educated Bengalis is genuinely liberal. We grew up in families that never shied away from the harshest criticism of our own superstitions and shortcomings. Schools, however have fed the same children only sanitized appeasement propaganda. 1n
Thus, educated middle class Bengalis have formed a very lopsided idea of religious interplay and secularism. Add to that the ingrained patriarchy and orthodoxy of many in the older generations, which immediately catches the sharp eyes of these sensitised bong younglings. 2n
They come to see Hindus as misogynistic boors and hinduism as the repository of everything unscientific. I blame our spokespersons for this too. Publicise the Geeta, if you must. The deep philosophy of the Vedas and Upanishads. 3n
