Lucky to spend time in the company of one of the world’s most brilliant, dedicated and honest leaders in the 21st century: India was lucky to have him at the helm. Despite the jibes of being an “Accidental Prime Minister” by someone who was to serve him but who ended up stabbing
him rivalling Judas Iscariot in treachery, the man stands tall and the world is aware of bis work, worth and contributions towards lifting vast swathes of the citizens from poverty, despair, unemployment and misery. Time will heal the wounds caused by the backstabbing & treachery
And of course, Dr Manmohan Singh will have his rightful place in history as one who strove to better the lives of citizens of India. Those who found fault with him- hoping for a sinecure, are still waiting with arms and palms outstretched, waiting for the alms from government.

party’s annual convention. The pained expression he wore on his face during the “Rajdharma”speech had long gone; and he was seen warmly embracing the butcher of Godhra unreservedly and unashamedly. Those who root for Vajpayee and his “gentle and unassuming” ways and his fluency

Every major religion is more than a 1000 years old. There are two aspects : the core essentials- the doctrine- a kernel of truths valid for all time to come- and cultural traditions built around it. Traditions formed and fossilised over a 1000 years are sought to be validated by
proponents of that religion, without considering the context in which those traditions are sought to be superimposed. Thus, prayer rites that can’t ever be inserted in a modern, mixed habitat setting, for example a crowed metropolis, are forced on those who are not members of
that faith. This shoving of rituals and ear shattering rituals, sung / recited over a loudspeaker, can cause distress to those who are elderly, infirm and those wanting some solace after a hard day or night , as in the case of those working in shifts.

“Uttered some words”? Really ? A graduate of Hindu College Delhi and also from the London School of Economics, “uttered some words” thoughtlessly? Really ? Her entire moves were scripted, vetted and approved by you-know- who. Nupur is trying to emulate Sadhvi Pragya or whoever.
As elections are round the corner, the BJPee does what it’s best at: stoking the fires of hate and division.
She did what she did with the understanding that she’d be protected by you- Know-who. She was mistaken into thinking that the entire “paltan “ would rally around her. They’re too busy watching their backs than to provide solace and guarantees for people like Nupur.

We must persist in showing the mirror to these fellows and the myth that Vajpayee was somehow “better” than the rest- must be punctured for all time to come. Waiting for some historian (@ZareerMasani ) to help us with facts on this scoundrel who sowed the seeds of hate in 1977
In fact like minded Historians must come together and publish a white paper - or a report running into volumes- that highlight the role of the BJP, aided by the RSS, in attempting to - and succeeding in- destroying one by one- the institutions of India. Khare and Guha be damned.

Yes, but suit has its limitations; it needs to be worn well. Either it’s the body structure or probably the suit, if not stitched well , could end up making the wearer look terrible.
Amitabh Bachchan, despite his fame and wealth , comes across poorly in suits- he looks like a scarecrow in them. A suit must be worn well, especially around the neck and shoulders and the arms - they must all be draped as close to the body as possible, without appearing baggy.
We have Natwar Singh, diplomat and a dandy to boot ; who looks elegant in both suits and ethnic attire. Crafted well and worn equally well…
